cotopaxi says "Cheap and easy way to make your wardrobe last longer" about Ingrid and Isabel Maternity Bella Band

I love the Bella band. I had one in black and one in white and used them both during two pregnancies.

My favorite part was getting a couple of extra months in my favorite non-maternity pants and jeans so that I wasn't so sick of my maternity stuff by the end.

I was skeptical that a little cloth band would actually hold my pants up, but it really worked. It also helped with briding the gap between the end of my shirt and the top of my pants so that no skin was showing - so it made the non-maternity shirts work for a few extra weeks too! The lok was as though I was layering two T-shirts.

These held up really pretty well. Both had some slight pinholds from the wash but that was after bing worn and washed once or twice a week for several months times two pregnancies, so I was satisfied with the quality.

I did wish they came in more colors, specificallyi khaki.

After about 6 months, it was a lost cause and I had to get out hte maternity pants - the belly was just too big to make...
...

I LOVE this product!!! Because of this product (Bella Band) I saved so much money by not having to buy maternity pants. I just used the band with all my regular pants. I felt SO comfortable! It looks great with all my tops and all my pants. It's a little expensive, but it really is worth it. It comes in great color choices and even some with lace! It gave me confidence and made me feel like I looked great. It did a great job at keeping up my pants and staying in place. I would reccommend this product to any pregnant woman out there! It also comes in handy with post partum support. I have no CONS at all about the Bella Band. I wish I could have afforded one in every color for more of a variety in my outfits. It was very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Easy to put back on after bathroom breaks as well. It ceryainly beats the old practive of using a rubber band on your button on your pants!
...

These bands are just fantastic. I found the Bella Bands at a specialty maternity store for $28 a piece and I bought one in black and one in white. I didn't think they were cheap, but I had heard through the grapevine that you could use them for a large chunk of your pregancy and not have to buy lots of maternity clothes. You put on your underwear, put on the band so that it covers the waistline of your pants. Then pull up your pants, leave them unzipped (or partially zipped if it still goes up) and fold the top have of the band over your pants. They hold up your pants without anyone even knowing they are undone! Granted, I didn't gain a ton of weight (25lbs) but I didn't buy even one pair of maternity pants. I bought 3 shirts and a couple of tank tops, but that was it!!!

I will warn you that if you do find them at a maternity or baby store near you beware - I found the Be Bands (a separate brand of the same thing from the same company) at Target for $16/each. I actually...
...

I went in search of this product after seeing advertisements in magazines and thought it would be a great way to extend the life of my wardrobe and not have to purchase a lot of expense maternity clothes. When I finally found the Bella Band at a maternity store I was told that the packages could not be opened and I had to buy it before seeing if it worked. I was a little put off by this but figured it had to be okay. I was not very happy with the product at all. It didn't fit tight enough to hold my pants up and if I pulled it down far enough to cover the zipper, it showed from the bottom of my shirts. Also seems like they could sell both nude and black together for a cheaper price. I retired it to my drawer after only a couple of attempts and went back to using the tried but true method of using a rubber band around the button and buttonhole! I would recommend saving your money on this item!
...

I love this product! It helped keep my pants up with a small tummy and then again with a large tummy. I felt more secure in my maternity pants. I think this is a must have for any pregnant mom!

I didn't get it for support I had a maternity belt when I was farther in my pregnancy for support so support wasn't an issue for me.

Also if you wore it a few times without washing it, it would stretch out, but when you washed and dryed it the shape would come back!
...

The ingrid and isabel Bella Band is the single most useful maternity item I purchased. I am a mother of two and purchased my Bella Band during my first pregnancy. The Bella Band is an elastic band that fits over your pants to keep things where they need to be. In the first and second trimester when you are too small for maternity clothes, but too big for your normal clothes the Bella Band allows you to wear your normal pants unbottoned and keeps them up. Once you become too large to wear your normal clothes you may use the Bella Band to keep those pesky maternity clothes up while you continue to grow. Towards the end of your prenancy when the flowy maternity shirts leave your ever-growing belly exposed, you can wear the Bella Band to keep your belly under wraps. I used my Bella Band during both pregnancies and it just looks like an undershirt peeking underneath your shirt. (They even make Bella Bands with a decorative lace on the edge to look like a camisole.) The best...
...

I was looking for a belly band that take the pressure off my stomach. THe Ingrid and Isabel Bella Band was too stretchy and seemed to be better for covering the gap between my clothes and and my stomach. I wish the Bella Band came in more colors. I wish it also was ajustable so when I use it postpartum I will be able to tighten it after the c-section. Early the preganency I used it to hold up pants that were a little to big, and those that were too snug. I could hide that my pants were undone and unzipped.

...

slvashley says "Not great for full figured women!" about Ingrid and Isabel Maternity Bella Band

I got a couple of these part of the way into my 2nd trimester hoping to make my regular clothes last me a little longer. I'm full figured, so maybe that's why these didn't work for me at ALL to allow me to leave my pants unbuttoned. The fabric was way to thin to provide any sort of support for that. I gave up and started wearing maternity pants.

What I did use these for was as another layer under shirts that would have otherwise been too short for my growing belly. They worked okay... but I found that bottoms would flip up, or the tops would get bunched up underneath because they stretched out quickly, and they weren't as comfortable or attractive as I'd hoped they'd be.

Oh well... I'll save them for breastfeeding! Well - I found the same issue here. Now my hips are even wider, so again they got bunched up underneath my top shirt, and the bottoms still flipped up and looked messy and not all cute like they do on the models. Maybe I got to big a size, or it would have worked...
...

I bought two different colors and loved them through my pregnancy. I was able to hold off on buying new maternity pants, using this. It also helped after having the baby. They are pretty stylish. It sometimes shows when you are wearing a shirt that isn't real long, so make sure you colors match or complement each other so that they look like you are wearing a shirt underneath instead of a band to keep your pants up.
...

I started to grow out of my pre-pregnancy clothes very early on - by 8 weeks I could no longer button my trousers/jeans, however I wasn't ready for proper maternity wear. The Bella Band was a life saver. It allowed me to keep wearing my normal pants well into my second trimester, and even a few items into my third. It is really comfortable to wear, washes well and is much cheaper than buying a ton of new clothes. I also think it will work well postpartum while I'm getting back into shape, but I'll have to wait and see!
...

I am on my second baby in less than a year. I bought mine when i was about 7 months along, in my previous pregnancy. I was having a HUGE problem keeping my pants up. Every time I would move they would roll down & I would have saggy pants & butt would be sticking out. I did find if I wore my band, it was soooo much better. & after I had my baby I could wear all my "non pregnant pants" by wearing my band.. I am now in my 1st trimester, again, & its great now because, I can wear my prego pants or my non prego pants, & keep them up with my bella band.. This to me is the BEST product since the started making good maternity underware. I cant stress enough how great Bella Bands are.
...

I was very excited to try out bella bands. I'm 3 months pregnant and was running out of comfortable jeans to wear. Thousands of $ i spent on designer jeans and now i'm reduced to 1 pair of semi comfy pair. I tried bella band and it seems to work okay. Definitely let me breathe a little, but the top of the band tends to slip down and is looser so if you're wearing a semi tight tshirt you can see the outline it makes when you're sitting. You're constantly readjusting the band. Not sure if it's a great product, but it seems to be the only thing out there right now for these uncomfortable prematernity clothes period....
