djayandheather says "Holmes 1 touch heats well, but is lower quality." about Holmes 1 Touch Heater

We have purchased 3 of these Holmes 1 Touch Heaters for our home. They are our only source of heat. We have a propane furnace, but can not afford to pay for the propane. We have had these heaters for two years now and every one of them has died on us. They fortunately have a six year factory warranty on them, so every time one has quit, it has been replaced by Holmes. They fight it and don't seem like they want to honor the warranty, but so far, they have come through. I am afraid the replacement heaters they sent will break down as well and I am unsure they will honor the warranty on them. When I called about them, they wanted copies of receipts and stuff, which is fine. But now all the ones we purchased have been replaced and we have no receipt. I just hope they will honor their warranties on their products. As for heating, it heats well. If you put it into a small room, it will keep that room just as toasty as you would like. It's not real good in large areas,...
...

Holmes 1 touch heater is the best.

I have had many and would not buy anything else now. I use this in my basement for the grand kids to play while I do the laundry. Our feet are toasty warm and our fingers don't get cold. If the dogs have to stay down there for awhile I also use it for them so the floor and their rugs are not so cold. They seem to be quite content with it. I have also used it on by back porch on a chilly night just to warm and dry the air a bit.
...

vadergirl75 says "This is one of the best heaters!" about Holmes 1 Touch Heater

Last year's winter electric bills jumped from our usual $45ish charges to over $350/month!!! Of course, who knew that leaving the electric oven on all night during the coldest time of year would almost break the bank!

So this year, my husband and I decided to try to curb that cost by getting inexpensive space heaters. Hubby found a few, and the Holmes heater ended up in our living room. This little heater has a great "eco-friendly" button that automatically goes on when you press the power button. It heats the room to a certain point, then cycles off until the room cools down again. If you don't have enough heat, just hit the button, and it stays on until you turn it off!

The whole family has been very comfortable, and so far, the electric bill's only gone up a few dollars, as opposed to a few HUNDRED dollars!
...

This litle but powerful heater helps with those cold drafts in the winter. My bathroom is right next to my back door and some of those zero temp days are awefully cold in there when taking a shower. I just turn this bad boy on and 10 mins later it is nice and warm!...

jennjean76 says "really really makes it warm in the room" about Holmes 1 Touch Heater

If you are need of a space heater that is safe and easy to use, then the holmes 1 touch heater is what you are looking for. It is light weight, and easily turns on with one touch. We find it keeps the room very warm. It is quiet enough to sleep with it on and small enough to store away when not in use. The only drawback is the rise in the electric bill, but I'm sure that is the case with any space heater....

Great little heater, with a "just right" price. It's kind of hard to write 250 - 1000 words about a little heater. When I am home working in the "office" and usually by myself, this heater comes in handy, it takes the morning chill out of the room. With the ridiculous price of natural gas and home heating oil, any little bit of help is greatly appreciated. I usually do not like to run up the electric bill, but I have found out that the electric bill only has gone up a couple dollars in the last month, but it probably would have gone up anyway. I don't know for sure that the heater is the reason for the increase.
...

ziggy4 says "its super quiet and a great heat source" about Holmes 1 Touch Heater

The Holmes 1 Touch heater is easy to use. Simply select auto (Hi/Low) or the preset it to suit your comfort level and the heater will maintain the selection. To shut-off the heater, just press and hold the 1Touch button for 2 seconds.

These heaters have a high resistive coil element that heats up as electricity passes through it. A fan blows the hot air around the element out into the room. Heater fans are plastic, including the grill, which means there are no dangerously hot surfaces. And with the Auto Safety Shut-Off I am not worried about it over heating.

It is small and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room. With having 13' ceilings in our apartment it is hard to keep the cost of gas down. With using the 1 Touch it has made it easier to keep within our gas budget without increasing the cost of the electricity too much. Even before we turned the gas back on we only used the 1 Touch and felt toasty warm.

...

This little heater is wonderful! It will keep an average sized room comfortably warm. Very high output of warm air and little noise makes it perfect for anyone.

Purchased for under $20.00 this heater is well worth twice that.

Great around children and animals it has nothing that can be warm to touch....
