e-machine computer is the most for the least amount of money that you pay for you can do any thing with the e-machine that you can with any other computer but pay less for it i am always doing things on my computer i never will go with another computer we always had problems with the hp but the e-machine we don't have the problems anymore.

I have had my emachine for a long time. It is still working but has recently starting to go really slow. This is due to ITunes with over 5 days straight full of songs and stuff. I would recommend this product all the way. It seems just because of the name and maker it might not be worth it however, I know that to not be true.

I bought an e machine..and probably because it is made by Gateway..I am very pleased with its performance..East to use..reliable..and a good/excellent computer for the money..I had a gateway for 8 years..never a problem..this one should last also..but maybe not that long..

We have an Emachine desktop computer. It is a nice looking computer with very adequate hardware (printer, speakers, etc). However, it is very slow. it has Windows Vista loaded and when we turn it on, we go do something wlse while it boots up! after it is booted, it takes about 15 to 20 seconds juat to open a browser. That does NOT include downloading a web page! We have a DSL connecton so the actual download is OK. To go from one page to another on the web is 4 to 6 seconds. It just takes FOREVER to get started!

Another problem is with the Microsoft Word Processor. I do not know if this is because of the way Emachines loaced it or if it is connected with the word processingn program itself. Even though we prepare a document with the word processor, we can not just double click to open the program. We always have to rightclick, then use "open with" and go to "Microsoft Word Processor" to get it to open.

The keybord is also a problem. The letters are wearing...

Sent my dear husband out to buy our new computer(he who works in the telecommunications field!) and he brings home an eMachine...what!?!

So, after ranting and raving about that I let him set it up. And to my great surprise, it is working fine. I use it for household things and my email...never a problem. My kids use it for their games and some homework. Nope, no problem there either. We did buy some extra memory because of the large number of games we downloaded, but that should not matter. So now I would rate it a thumbs up.

The bad things(there always are those right?)...the plastic button to start up the hard drive broke off and now you have to push the little piece underneath. Then the whole plastic covering on the front of the hard drive broke off. Both pieces that broke off, can not be repaired with the original pieces and we would have to get replacements for them. Since our hard drive can not be seen to the casual observer, we are just letting it go.

Now that I have had the computer...

diabetic- i have been diabetic for years and yes with goog diet and your medicines,insulin included you can live a good life.The only thing that bothers is taking my test all the time,Ireally really hate those needles. But if thats what it takes to keep me going I guess thats what I will do.Read any thing you can about diabetic news I always find it heloful because things change so much. Theres always new meters coming out,diet changes. I find using the new carb diet they have for us you get more selections.That makes having diabetics easier to live with.I have lost my big toes but I keep going I love having the grand kids and they have been thru it with me,so thats a way to keep going. Life might have given us this but we can still move on and enjoy life.If you take shots let the grand kids help they really learn lots and it gets them use to needles so they are not so scared when they go to the doctors.
