dmlichnerowicz says "Plumping action, sure, but where's the color???" about e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze

e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze is one of the $1 products available through Eyes Lips Face, a company that does no animal testing and markets quality products at very affordable prices. I purchased the Plumping Glaze in Mauve Berry. The gloss has two ends: one end contains the pearlized glaze that should be applied underneath lip color and causes your lips to appear fuller. The other end contains the moisturizing color glaze and boosts volume as well.

What I like about it: Both the glaze and colorized gloss have menthol in them, so they smell minty and fresh. The tube itself is well-constructed and is fairly good quality plastic. The product smooths onto lips easily. I definitely think they both make my lips look fuller! The e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze wears well...I applied it before going shopping and after my shopping trip, a soft pretzel and soda, and the drive home, it still looked like I had recently applied it.

What I don't like about it: The menthol is a little strong...it...
...

elisse says "Great bang for the buck! As good as the more expensive ones." about e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze

I won a $10 gift certificate to elf so I went on their website and got a whole bunch of makeup to try! Their products are so inexpensive that you don't feel bad buying things to try that you might not try at higher prices... This is the first products of elf's I've tried so far, and I'm pleased with it, especially for the price. No, it didn't give me Angelina Jolie lips (LOL), but none of the more expensive products have, either, and it does that "tingly" thing that all lip plumpers I've tried do (from cinnamon, I assume...). I like that it has both the color and the plumper on one wand and fits into even the tiniest purse or pocket. And I REALLY like that elf is making trendy, fun makeup SO affordable...
...

DeniseJS says "Refreshing Tingle but No Plumping Action" about e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze

While my lips aren't "blink and you'll miss them," I will admit that I'm addicted to lip plumpers. Many I've tried have failed to live up to their promise, but I figured for $1 I wouldn't be missing out on much if I tried e.l.f.'s Plumping Lip Glaze and it failed to work.

The dual sided tube contains a clear gloss and a tinted gloss that is designed to be worn over the clear version, but each can be worn separately or with other lip products. In the interest of attempting to maximize the appearance of fuller lips, I tried them both.

The clear gloss is definitely tingly but not painful and leaves a minty, menthol-type taste. Applying the tinted gloss over it was a bit tricky and goes on really thick, which was definitely not to my liking. I did not notice any plumping action at all, and the tinted gloss is not very pigmented; instead, it gives a sheer hint of color that is a little difficult to blend due to the texture of the gloss.

The Verdict

For $1, this is your basic lip gloss with a...
...

I purchased this item 2 weeks ago, and I've used it twice. It looks pretty in the tube, but goes on like totally CLEAR! You can not even see the color on your lips! I will not be purchasing this item again, totally did not meet up to my standards, yes it is only a $1, but totally not worth it!
...

I ordered this online not too long ago, I'm not sure where you can get it besides online. but it arrived a few days ago, and i was nervous because of some of the reviews i had read on e.l.f. site about a totally different lipgloss that burned everyone. i expected a small burn, to plump my lips up, but after i put the clear side on it was a real cool almost minty but not quite, just cold feeling. It was amazing you could almost feel your lips plumping. I havent applied the color on top of the clear yet, because i dont use color on my lips too often. This was super INexpensive, like eveything is on the e.l.f. site, and being a bargain hunter i love that! I didn't expect too much because of the price, but i've also used sally hansen lip plumpers as well...and BOTTOM LINE: E.L.F.plumping lip glaze blew sally out of the water.! ITS MUCH CHEAPER TOO!! p.s. I didnt think the serving size was too small.. i thought it was perfect! larger than what i expected for the price!...

First off I want to say that I am really impressed with the E.L.F. Product line. After reading a review by one of your reviewers and hearing that your products are only $1.00, I couldn't help myself but to look into your stuff.

I bought 8 dollars worth of makeup and makeup brushes. Shipping was $6.95 but after I found an online coupon my total went down from $14 to $10.95. I couldn't even complain. I purchased the Lip Plumper, 2 eye-liners, face SPF tinter, and a few applicator brushes. Overall reaction you ask.... 100% Satisfied.

Even though the lip plumper doesn't plump my lips at all, it's still a nice product. And come on, ONLY $1.00

Go to eyeslipsface.com and check out the awesome products.
...
Where do I start! Amazing, I have about a million different lip glosses and finally one that tastes yummy on my lips and gives them a hint of color. And the best part of it, It was one $1! So I didn't feel bad when I bought 5 of them. The only thing that I would see a problem, I wish the color was a bit more richer....

Okay so I have tried many different lip plumpers. Not solely for the purpose of plumping my lips, but just seeing if it works. every girl wants to know if it works right? Who wouldn't want bigger, juicier, healthier looking lips? Every girl would want that. But i personally don't find lip plumpers that effective. to tell the truth they are more like really thick lip-gloss, and cost a little more than your average lip-gloss. But I will recommend one lip plumper and that would have to be the "Sugar Pump N' Shine Lip Plumper and Lip gloss duo" toddles....
