Recently bought the Baby Trend Flex Lock for our second child. Read mixed reviews on the seat, but decided to give it a try (and it went with the double stroller we bought).

So far, after several weeks of use I have no complaints at all. The straps adjust easily and the harness locks into place with ease. The seat fastens to the base quite easily too.

The style and color combo (tan, brown, and orange) is quite stylish and I have even gotten a few compliments on the style.

Paid 99.00 online for the seat and although a little more than the Graco I had for my first child, I am totally satisfied with the purchase.
...

This car seat is perfect for small babies. My son fits in the seat perfectly. It doesn't bother him at all. It isn't too tight. The seat allows for the headrest to move and grow with the baby. so that baby has a comfortable place to set his/her head.
...

whitegregg says "The Baby Trend Flex lock infant carseat is a good buy" about Baby Trend Flex Lock

I am a mother of three, and each child had a different infant carseat. I like this one the best overall, but there are features that could be improved. I love the way the shoulder straps are adjusted, but I do not like the way the handle has to be moved. I like how easy this carseat locks in and out of the base, and the way the base is secured into the vehicle.

The baby trend flex lock infant carseat is a good buy. The carseat has regular infant carseat features, but I really liked how easy it is to adjust the height of the shoulder straps: there is a knob that you twist on the back of the seat and it highers or lowers the straps one notch. I find this feature very helpful because other carseats require that you remove the straps and relocate them to a new notch on the carseat. I also like that the material that the seat is covered in is easy to clean, and the colors are nice for either a boy or a girl. One thing that I do not like as much about this carseat is that you...
...

When we registered for this system we really didn't know what we were getting. However, what we soon found is that this travel system did it all. It protected our newborn daughter and after we purchased the second base we were able to put the seat in either of our cars. Very convenient! Now that she's three I can say that this system has held up remarkably well. It's been on airplanes and to amusement parks in three states. While it's not made for strolling through the grass I've never had any problems in paved or concreted areas. The only drawback is that the stroller fabric itself is hard to remove and thereby clean. I think that they should find a way for moms and dads to more conveniently remove the seat back so that it can be changed when life's little accidents happen. I highly recommend this Baby Trend travel system to anyone who's lucky enough to pick it up at the store.
...

bailey515 says "Heavier than most but great ergonomic handle!" about Baby Trend Flex Lock

I recieved the baby trend flex loc car seat at my baby shower. I had registered for the car seat after my husband and I did some extensive research. We not only looked at reviews online but we went to the store to try out the car seat and we also spoke with other's who had small babies.

The baby trend Flex Loc car seat was slightly heavier than say the Graco or the evenflo. The Flex loc was cheaper than the Chicco but got similar safety ratings. I especially liked the handle on the Flex Loc because it was quite comfortable for my small hands as well as my husband's large hands. I also liked the more modern design of the car seat material. I am not a fan of cartoon characters or lots of pink on my baby stuff. The Flex Loc came in a great and grey pattern as well as an orange and brown pattern.

The bases to the car seat were very easy to install and tighten. The car seat fit easily into the base and was easy to unlack.

The only negative to the car seat in my eyes was the buttons to put the...
...

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was looking for all the essentials needed for a baby: crib, car seat, etc. I wanted everything to be the best kind of stuff for my baby. The main thing I was really looking for was Safe products, especially in car seats. I tried doing a lot of research online to find the safest car seats out there. I discovered that the Baby Trend car seats were rated really well for safety so that's what I decided to go with. I ended up going with the Baby Trend Flex-Loc Infant Car seat, and I'm totally glad that I did! I love this car seat, it is perfect. I went with a grey and green colored one that is a good neutral for girls or boys. This car seat has a base that can be hooked into the car and left there. The base can also be adjusted to different heights to put the baby in the best position while riding in the car depending on the size of the baby. The actual car seat itself locks into position onto the base. On the car seat there is a little thing that...
...

This car seat/stroller has been amazing. I love that you can just snap in the car seat onto the base and release it when you are at a store and get the stroller out and place the car seat right on the stroller. The only thing wrong with the stroller that I had trouble with, was opening the stroller and closing it. The press lock was hard to press. Other than that it has been amazing and we love it.
...

MrsMessiness says "Great for BIG babies." about Baby Trend Flex Lock

We had to upgrade to The Baby Trend Latch Lock car seat when our baby was six months old, due to him being a very big baby. We faced the challenge of needing him to still be in a rear facing seat, but needing something big enough to safely hold a twenty-eight pound baby (all the way up to one year). It took a while for us to find one that fit our needs, but when we found this one, our prayers were answered.

It has the latch system, so no more struggling to get the car seat in and out and strapped in safely - just click and go. I also like the higher sides on the Baby Trend Latch Lock, because with a (now) ten month old, it is nice to have him and his toys a bit mroe contained in his seat - with the higher sides, it is harder for him to toss things over the sides.
My other favorite feature is teh ease of removing the soft cover for washing and drying - the elastic loop around the edge of the cover makes it very easy to remove, wash, dry, and replace. I love it!
...

The Flex-Loc infant seat by Babytrend worked great for my infant son. He rode comfortably in the seat which was the ultimate thing I was looking for in a seat. I found that this seat was a great investment for my money. A parent could easily pay upwards of $300 for an infant car seat. I bought the seat and stroller for about half the price of some of the more upscale products. The only downsides I encountered was that the handle could be difficult to move because the latches were stiff and the height limit proved to be a barrier for me.
...
