It's pretty hard to believe that YouTube is not yet barely four years old. I know, I can't believe it either and I'm writing this piece.

What's even more amazing is how this site launched in 2005 has gone from an amusing site that allowed anyone to upload and share videos with everyone else in the world to a point now where it is the "Official Public Record". That's right. If you did it and someone saw you do it, you just may show up on YouTube. So be warned, better watch your Ps & Qs!

I find I watch it everyday for things like videos of new electronics reviews to the day's most interesting political events.

During the recent Presidential Election Campaign I really got hooked. Sure there were the real campaign events captured but there was also Tina Fey giving us her best Sarah Palin. Golden moments indeed.

What inspired me to write this piece today was an email I received from my sister-in-law this morning with a link to a compilation of David Letterman's "Great Moments in Presidential...

I am very disappointed with Youtube.

I am on dialup service & the videos do not keep playing. They stop & go, stop & go. I sometimes have to get the video started then put it on pause & come back to it about 15 min later. Most of the time it is very frustrating to have to keep jumping from one window back to youtube to see if it will play all the way through. I very seldom even try to watch them. I just delete them.

These take up too much internet time.

I would not recommend this site for anyone using dialup service.

Youtube is a online FREE share site. it's free. As the name suggest, YOU can TUBE YOUrselve and just about anything you want (or at least whatever the man will let you.) But seriously, Youtube is a great site for broadcasting personal videos, watching movies, music videos and episodes of long canceled television programs that don't rerun on cable. You can find tutorials and lessons on almost any subject. I've found very useful information on this site. And it's easy to use and FREE. So if you want to learn how to program your VCR or post videos of your baby for complete strangers to see or watch reruns of Rat Patrol, log on to youtube.com....

Youtube has been very helpful to me. I have used it for research in school, for finding out random information, and to just pass time when I'm bored. This site is easy to use, and understand. Youtube has videos of everything for every occasion and situation. Who ever thought of this site is pure genious!...

This website is educative and well designed. However, it is not appropiate for every age. The front page should be revised to not show nudity! The kids or anyone should see "nearly" nude or vulgar girls speaking to them. Immediate action is required!! ...

Great way to share laughs with friends. There are so many videos to choose from. The site is very easy to use. There are a lot of different categories. Great way to add to any presentation for a little entertainment. Sometimes the videos are hard to hear and the image quality is poor, but it is an awesome sight....

good when you are looking for a specific thing. Too many curse words for the youngsters though. Today I was looking at Blues Clues, and way too many fakes with negative language came up. Many of the videos are cheaply made also, and sometimes don't get to the point. Also, trying to look up movie trailers is worhless because there are too many fakes....

you tube is the most amazing site i have ever been on. when you create your own account you can type in ANY word(s) and find thousands of videos for them. Any music video you want. concert footage, etc. Absolutely amazing. If you are a music lover then this is your site. In the search tool bar you can type in your favorite band and find all of their music videos and interviews, and live concert footage. If you are looking for some new music then you can see other youtube users talents by surfing their cusomized homepages. Guitar lessons, acoustic sessions. If your lucky you can watch shows that other people have posted on there. It's like having cable, sateallite radio and live music in one. and you can never get bored because there are endless possibilities....

I think youtube has almost anything that you look for. I go on you tube to see videos, & music videos. I am registered with imeem as well, but I feel youtube has more of a selection to choose from. I would reccomend youtube to friends/family. I know my brother always uses them as well.

Disney channel has a segment called Choo Choo Soul it is only on for about two minutes, like a long commercial. My daughter loves it and is sad when she misses it. I love that I can go to You Tube and she can see it anytime! Or I do recommend Gummi Bear ( long take) It is adorable also. I catch my daughter saying Gummi, Gummi, Gummi when she wants to watch it. .

You Tube is a great thing, you can find all different kinds of fascinating thing. Educational, Funny, informative, and right down outrageous. Everyone with a computer should check this site out, I give it 2 thumbs up. Make sure you know what you would like to see because sometimes you can run into junk videos. Plus if you are with a child or someone who is under age make sure you check out the site first sometimes the videos are not appropriate for under aged kids....

You can see videos of just about anything at You Tube. Everything from TV and Movie clips to music videos and personal videos. They load rather quickly. This is a great site to share your personal videos online with a lot of people at once. You can also comment on each video if you are a registered user.

Youtube is a wonderful website. It has so many videos; practically anything you could think of you could find. There are so many amazing music videos and so many hilarious user videos. It's great. They let so many people have their "15 minutes of fame." I can't tell you how many times I've actually heard of someone who became famous after uploading their videos to youtube. So many unknown singers and performers have been discovered because of it. No one would even know of these people if it weren't for youtube. Another thing I think is great about youtube is all of the contests they have. They have so many that you can enter and a lot of the prizes are really good like an ipod or a lot of cash money. Overall it's a great site....
