The YMCA has great programs for everyone they even have low income programs for low income families they really work with the community. i play softball there with alot of my friends and i can even invite friends to play and they dont have to pay or anything extra. i love that the freedom of having a place to go hang out excersise and have fun while doing it. there are alot of other programs out there that anyone can join but i have reviewed many places and had done a lot of research before i funally fouund the perfect price and they had so many programs for the entire family i really did not find a better deal any where esle. they even have yoga. i think that the YMCA has really bettered my life health wise and has really had a positive affect on my children and my family instead of hamily game borad nights we have softball matches or we have aerobics classes and that is how we bond and stay healthy and feel great.
...

I absolutely love the YMCA! I am a stay at home mom so the best thing is their child care center. I am able to get a break from my 1 year old while I work out and she has a fun time playing with other children her age while being able to socialize! The staff are always very nice and courteous. They also offer a PEP program which is basically 5 one on one sessions with a personal trainer and this is all included in your membership! They have so many programs, classes, camps and more for children and adults of all ages. My 1 year old was even able to participate in a mommy and me gymnastics class which was awesome! The other great thing about obtaining membership at the ymca is that it is all income based... all you have to do is bring in your most recent tax return and they will let you know what income bracket you fall into and your membership fee will be calculated accordingly. You also have many opportunities to get some months free like if you refeer your friends!
...

sihanhai says "Great value!" about YMCA Programs

The YMCA may be the best deal around. My local branch provides membership to neighboring outlets and also free classes and reduced rate massages. The facilities are great, they are constantly getting new equipment and staff. The pool is about to open and I can't wait! They have ample space and the newest equipment making it a bargain. The locations are pretty convenient and they have parking which is a big plus. Family memberships are a great deal especially since they have daycare and weekend activities for the kids. The hours are convenient for people working early and late since they open before the crack of dawn and close well after sunset. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, consistently well run gym in convenient locations. They have promotions in the fall where they waive the joiner's fee so you can get an even better deal. It is amazing to actually get more than you pay for.
...
