I'm a long time (25+ years) video gamer and this one should be headed for the Gamer's Hall of Fame. They took everything about Halo (the game that helped make the Xbox great) and improved it. The graphics are great, the game play itself is awesome, and the head-to head matches against others is always fun. Loads of devastating weapons, and lots of baddies. For shooters this one is very hard to beat. There are interesting missions, where besides being able to blast the heck out of stuff, you have to use a little intelligence to be able to succesfully complete the mission without taking the cheap way otu of re-spawning multiple times. The overall atmosphere within the game does create a sense of "what's around that corner" kind of thing, and that is always fun. This one is good for many hours of gameplay. My only complaint is that for some reason, I just can't seem to beat my son when we play vs. each other, but oh well...

This wasn't bad, but WAY over-hyped. Space version of Doom 3D (yeah, I'm dating myself with that comment, but get over it. People my age are MAKING the games, remember?) All in all it's a decent hack & slash/1p shooter, but it isn't all that....

Halo 2 is the and all be all of the Halo games. After playing all three games to death, this one shines above the rest. Countless hours of tweeking and repetition have made this the overall best halo experience.
The main game is the best here in my opinion because of the intertwined story. 1 was good and 3 was blah, but this is truly the ebst one overall.

At the end of the day sure I say this is the best but that is because this game has definite advantages over the other ones. I compeltely suggest all three but this is the one that I foudn myself coming back to the most.

Halo is an overrated shooter... The storyline is impressive, but the graphics and controls definitely leave something to be desired....

Halo 2 is possibly the best video game I have ever played. It has amazing graphics, a great storyline, and incredible AI. I would suggest buying this game immediately....

Halo 2 is a great game for the Xbox or Xbox 360. The multiplayer is much better than any other shooting game I've played, though I haven't gotten around to buying/playing Halo 3 yet. The weapons are much better than I thought they'd be and there's a lot of them. One of the best games I've ever played and definately the best shooting game I've played....

This is an awesome game period. The graphics are amazing, and the multiplayer is unrivaled. I play this game all the time. The develepors really knew what they were doing in this second installment. The weapons are much better, especially holding two at one time. The energy sword is a big plus also. Great story line, I cannot wait till halo 3 comes out. The ending gives it away that there will be a halo 3 for those who hasn't beaten it yet. Try it cooperative....

Even though i play it almost every time someone comes over, i rarely get tired of playing Halo 2 with my friends. The game is easy to pick up, but also allows experienced gamers to excel. However, the single player campaign mode leaves a rather annoying and anticlimatic cliffhanger that might disappoint players....

The deep story continues, picking up where the third book left off. More weapons than the first, an even better multiplayer than the best console multiplayer ever, and a lot more to do. The story is short, but people buy this for the multiplayer anyway. The game is tightly designed, adding in more of everything, and you can't hate it, even if you try. Definetly worth a try....
