I gave the game four stars for the level of fun, but the overall experience I gave four stars. Everything about the game is amazing, including the campaign (co-op on live or split screen, online play or multiplayer with Bots), but online can be annoying unless you are host because the lag can be extremely frustrating.

I like the game better than part one. The updates and 15 additional maps to download provide almost endless fun. The Horde mode is genius! You take on wave after wave (1-50) of Locus and you can play with 1 to 4 other people online!

I was displeased with the harsh language in this game. Part one had its fair share of language, but this is a warning for parents who intend to buy this game for younger children- there is an option to turn off the foul language- at least the majority of the curse words will be replaced...

Again, the four stars comes with the annoying lag issues that need to be addressed...

OH-MYY-GOSSHHH!!!! what to say what to say..? This is absolutely my most favorite video game of all time.. I only go over to my dads every other weekend, and Gears of War 2 is the only game I play. Non-Stop. It is soo hard to get me off of it. I love playing all the things they have on there like Wingman,. Guardian, Annex, King of the Hill, etc. but I dont really like Submission that well. I play with my friends on this game, and we have such a good time laughing and having fun. I think for a girl i am pretty dang good at it, if you ask me.. Me and my dad will play alot aswell. Im always really excited to go over to his house and start playing because I dont play any other video games except this one. =) I rank up alot during this game and im just so addicted. I cant wait for gears of war 3 to come out that is going to be alot of fun, and more exciting probably, but for now this is my one and only game that I absolutely love! :D

One of the best shooter games out. This game is no longer new, yet still one of the most played games on xbox live 360. Me and my husband couple up and play other couples, friends for hours of fun. You can revive your team mates, and depending on the game your playing you can revive yourself as well. Totally awesome game and highly recommended! ( 10)

gears of war 2 is a very nice game, it has a very deep plot that is sure to keep you involved all the way through. The maps within the game are so well made and unique which was expected to be delivered from the makers and indeed it was. Overall this is a top quality game and should be owned by every gamer with an xbox 360.

Following the stellar-revied Gears of War, Gears of War 2 is a must own for any person that loves a hardcore shooter for the 360. The plot is incredible with a variety of new weapons, modes, and abilities (meat-sheild, proximity mine grenades and more). As a avid gamer i highly suggest this, but be warned, this is one of the more gory games and it does have language, but thats because it is so badass. This game has incredible gameplay, including co-op, a ton of new maps including a few favorites from the first game, wicked great-looking cinematics and a brand-new advance matchmaking system that supports up to ten people instead of the previous eight with ten new maps, and four new game modes (meatflag also known as submission, annex with execution rules (BRAND NEW EXECUTIONS!), gaurdian, and more.)

New weapons: Revamped Hammerburst, Gorgon Pistol, Mulcher, Mortar, Boomsheild, Ink Grenades

This is the best game i have ever played the graphics are by far the best i have ever seen. gears of war 2 is one of the best games to come out on the xbox 360.

Gears of war two is a shadow of its predecessor. theres a ign review comparing the graphics and the gears 1 actually has better graphics then the first. way to go devs. they added all these weapons and junk which noone really needed. they should have kept the game the same as it was before, maybe some new characters, a new campaign, maybe 1 or 2 new weapons. but they did too much. and it ultimately ruins a game which i had such high hopes for

This is a great game. This is a big improvement over the first one. The controls are better, the graphics are better. The gameplay feels much more fluid. I went back to play Gears 1 after this and I thought it felt stiff in comparison. Gears 2 comes with a downloadable mappack of 5 favorites from gears 1. There are new features like the ever popular meat flag, being able to stick grenades to walls, and a new online mode called horde. Horde is a mode where you fight up against 50 waves of enemies. You don't fight other players, you work together to fight against the horde. This is a great game that takes a little practice, but is very rewarding. Did I mention this is a great game? Trying to come up with 900 characters is a tough thing to do and I don't know that I have much more to say. Just buy this game and you will be happy. We play it every night. There are new map packs you can purchase to add value to the game too.

I never played the first Gears but watched my boyfriend while it blasted through it. As soon as i saw him playing Gears of War 2 i had to get into it. I don't usually play xbox games i just stick with smash brothers brawl on wii, but to jump right into it was very easy. The graphics are just amazing and it's very easy to get used to the way the controls are set up. Whats great abuot it is there are pretty much no restrictions on what you can do while your walking except when they radio you and while your listening on your radio you cannot shoot you can just walk at a slow pace. THe good thing is you can aim and shoot while walking you can reloas quickly if you hit it at the right mark, and the xbox live gameplay takes it to a whole new level. On xbox live for gears 2 there are about 5 different types of games you can play either with your own team or by joinng in and getting matched up with a similar leveled group of people. The downside to that is it takes a while to get your rank up so...

Sequel to a surprise hit last year, Gears of War 2 improves and sharpens its graphics while deepening the story of the war between humans and grubs. Gameplay takes mostly a "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" mantra and keeps much of the same look (though less gritty), sound and feel from the first installment.

Many of the same characters are reintroduced and fans of the first game will be thrilled when the "Cole-train!" makes his thunderous entrance and when Baird shoots off his first smart remark. Dom too returns and while in the first installment was mostly just Marcus' sidekick, GOW2 invests much of its storyline in his search for his missing wife creating much more of a emotional connection than the story's predecessor.

Vehicle challenges are plentiful and, some might say, to a fault. While it may initially seem like a fun time to ride off on one of the creatures that are normally attacking you, these events end up creating more of a distraction to the rest of the game.

We bough Gears of War 2 days after its release and were NOT disappointed in our purchase. Gears of War was an awesome game and the sequel was REALLY a great continuance of the original. The story line is seamless, the characters are all there. The graphics are amazing. What's not to like?

While much of the game play is the same, there are a few new tricks and weapons to utilize.

The online game play is a great addition and allows you to explore the game from the locust side as well.

A must buy for anyone that played the first!

Gears of War 2 Is a great visual and accelerating expirience! If you like Shooters this is the one for you. There's nothing like picking up a dead locust and using it as a bullet shield....

Gears of war 2 for the 360 is a lot of fun! They already have downloadable content on xbox live for new maps. This game is a lot of fun to play alone in single player and online with friends and even to make new friends. The story is great and keeps you on your toes and every turn you make you keep wondering to yourself can the graphics get any better! and they do. The characters in the game are not only moving but entertaining and funny. I recommend this for anyone who was a fan on Gears of war 1 and also to those who were not much of a fan. They have fixed some of the things that people didn't like about the first game in the series. It is better and you should give it a try!...
