Gears of War is the best looking game I've ever seen (for it's time). No contest. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we can talk about the game. Gears of War may have been built around the campaign mode, but the adversarial multiplayer game is nothing to scoff at. The maximum of eight players split into two teams may be a small number for a modern online shooter, but it works well to keep the action going, especially when your first death means you're out of the game. The rounds move quickly and you never feel like you're just waiting around for the game to end, which takes a big chunk out of the annoyances I've found with some shooters in the past. Gears of War really straddles the line between a tactical shooter and a pure action game by forcing players to think about how they can look for protection while still maintaining a furious pace. That really is where the multiplayer game shines. Trying to plan out your attack and think clearly amidst a hectic battlefield makes for some...

I'm not normally a fan of this genre of games, but my boyfriend kept trying to get me to play and now it's probably one of my favorite games on the 360. It's a fun game to pay through, not too long (which may or may not be a bad thing), and the graphics are amazing.
If you're new to shooters like I was, this is an easy game to get into on casual mode. The controls are very easy to learn although they tend to stick a little when ducking and covering. Otherwise it's very intuitive.
I didn't try online play, so I can't really judge it. ...

Gears of War is definately one of the best games I've ever played on the Xbox 360 console. The graphics are amazing and the online play is perfect. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing third person shooters and anyone who is addicted to online multiplaying. This game will definately satisfy all your needs in a shooter game on the xbox 360 console....

Love this game, just got on the bandwagon with the xbox 360. Gears of War was the first game I played. My husband and I were instantly addicted to the game and played non-stop the first day our new system made it home, granted the kids were eager to check out the new toy, but mom and dad had to put a stamp of approval. Two kids aged 5 and 10 and they will not play this game, the graphics are just that alive. Being afraid of the sudden death ring, we only experianced two small glitches in 7 days of game play that did not affect our overall gaming experiance. The graphics are completely alive in this game, nothing is left out and you are completely taken over in a world of serious war. The video clips are remarkable. Overall you will not be disapointed with this game, if you are, then you have more issues than you are admiting to!...

Gears of War is a game full of rampage, and there is tremendous amounts of gore all the way through. So for the weak stomachs out there, this may not be the game for you. Gears of war uses many features such as wall coverage and a third person view for shooting that is amazing. There are horde's of enemies and at the highest difficulty it seems impossible to get through them at times. Overall the graphics are great and the story line keeps you intrigued.

Gears of War for the 360 is a great game. It features a very in dept single player campaign and a massive online community. I have played through the single player campaign on all difficulty levels and the game never gets old. The graphics are stunning. The sound is fantastic. The gameplay brings you into the game. I have never been a fan of online play, but this game seems different. It is awsome that you can do a co-op campaign with someone. Overall a very good game to purchase....

This game was beautifully done from the game play to the story. Kept my attention from the beggining. I love the story and the gameplay is perfect. The graphics are very well done in HD and multiplayer is fun. This is THE game to have for x box 360. Cant wait for Gears 2 to come out in November....

GEARS OF WAR

When my boyfriend first bought this game I was very skeptical because the only games I played was Gun or the Sims but when I started playing this I was so surprised because you really get into the story fast, the graphics are awesome and me and him actually bonded over something that had to do with a video game.

I love they have different stages that you see yourself beating and the normal version is great for people that have never played a shooting game before.

I love the weapons but my fav is the sharp shooter. The lens is awesome and you can kill them with one shot with it and if you ever played gears of war you know thats not a small feat.

I recommend this to 14 and over and if you play this play with someone who can make good judgment calls.

P.S. I love that when u or your partner dies you can just run over and touch them and it revives them as if nothing ever happened. Its great and you can die as many times as you want just make sure you don't both die at the same...
