smurray001 says "THE perfect gift!" about Willow Tree Angels

I first saw these Willow Tree angels in a Craker Barrel store and just fell in love with them! They are made from a real Willow wood, and when you handle them you can just feel the quality and workmanship in them. They come with a little gift card with a message that matches the figurine. The figurines are made in a way that is easy to convey sentiments from the heart, and it's easy to find one that's just right for any ocassion. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to buy any at the time I first saw them. Then I got a subscription to the Current catalog and they had some in there for almost half the price that they were in Cracker Barrel! (They are also cheaper to order via the website compared to buying them from Cracker Barrel.) If you are looking for just the right gift for any ocassion, then these Willow Tree Angels are just what you're looking for, and they will surely be treasured for many years to come!
...

VictoriousMary says "Willow Tree Angels - A Gift With Meaning and Spirit" about Willow Tree Angels

I had seen the Willow Angels in stores several times before I received the first one as a gift. I try not to be a collector of gifts but rather a giver of them, but this one was just so personal and meaningful that I kept it.

No long after that I received one from a student who who gave me the Angel of Knowledge from the same collection along with a card that made me know this too was a keeper.

I know have four such Willow Angel keepers. They are unique as far as angels go.

If you need a gift that says more than itself, check out the collection. If you receive you, don't be too hasty in shelving it. Someone is more than complementing you. They love you and value you via this lovely carved angel. Enjoy
...

When I first saw Willow Tree Figurines, I will admit..I wasn't sure about them..I mean, they didn't have a face! lol But when I picked it up, and looked at it from the different angles, it's like I "saw" what the artist's intention was...and I instantly found the ones that I related and connected to...mostly the Mom/Child ones... and I've been hooked ever since. :)
...

CyndiA says "Willow Tree Angels - capture what you want to say but can't" about Willow Tree Angels

It's really hard to know what to give students graduating. I know. I looked all over town and kept coming up empty until I saw the Willow Tree Angels at the Hallmark Shop.

Willow Tree Angels are designed by Susan Lordi. She started making her angels back in 2000 and has continued to expand. Her idea was to capture emotions in figurines. She went with an angel idea and no features. This reminds me of the Amish baby dolls with no faces painted on. It makes the angels mush more versitle and open for the imagination of the giver or the receiver.

My thought was to give each of my advisees a guardian angel. There are a lot of different Willow Tree angels, and I was able to find one to match each of the three girls who have studied with me for four years.

I did add a card and note with each gift to explain about the guardian angel idea and why I selected the angel in the package. An example would be that I got one girl the Angel of Courage. She is moving far away and starting on a new adventure....
...
