I have HUGE issues with WOW from the service itself to their policies on when you cancel your service as well. I switched from WOW to Insight on November 9th because of a more competitive pricing package, plus technical issues I was experiencing with WOW Cable (quality of channels, sketchy connection so channels would get all pixelated, as well as some random issue with the guide where the guide would rapidly scroll through channels completely on its own).

My biggest issue with WOW is the $1100.00 they charged to my credit card on November 24th (two weeks after I cancelled my service) due to "un-returned" equipment. I had scheduled a service person to come pick up the equipment on November 17th but he did not show up, and within a week they had charged my credit card $1100??? I only had a cable modem and an HD DVR -- I was told that the HD DVR I had was $700 of those charges. Suffice it to say, I returned the equipment myself to the local WOW office, and now I am frantically dealing with...
...

I have beena WOW customer for years. I thought they were great until about two weeks ago when my cable box started losing channels. A service guy came out to fix it and it all seemed fine. The next day, our Internet went out and another cable guy came out to fix that (did not get fixed until next day) and decided that we had too many patches and needed a new cable line. He said he was going to schedule it and have someone call us to set it up. A week went by and no one ever called. I called and discovered that he did not schedule it at all! The customer service rep set it to be buried the next day. The next day (a Friday) came and went and no one ever called (are you getting the theme here). I called and they told me the customer rep did not schedule it right and I would have to be put on the "list" to get a call to be scheduled. Unacceptable to me and I spoke to a supervisor that said someone was going to call by Monday to schedule the appointment.

We switched from Comcast to WOW a month ago. Since then, we have had trouble with TV service (HD didn't work, OnDemand didn't work, the pictures on regular channels were spotted with moving black bits), telephone service (people couldn't call in), and internet service (it didn't work- no internet). I have stayed home waiting for repair techs on four separate days. I have made many more phone calls to try to get help to resolve our issues. After two repair trips, the internet appears to be resolved. After several phone calls and two trips, we finally resolved the phone issue. To be fair, it turned out to be a Comcast problem. They failed to fully release our phone number, which caused people to be unable to reach us when they dialed our number. But it took two visits and three phone calls to get someone who was able to unravel the mess (Jason was the guy- he's great!). Unfortunately for WOW, OnDemand has once again decided not to function. Just when I had been lulled...
...

They promised DVRx2. Then I got a bill for 109$. I called WOW and they said my bill had been undercharged by $24.
Wow Cable has increased my monthly TV cable service over the past several months. When I asked for answers on why they are more expensive compared to other cable services I receive no response. This angers me to the point that I am now actively reviewing other cable companies and satellite providers. I have found that due to my location I am limited on the cable companies that I have to choose from. Maybe this is the reason WOW Cable can charge the outrageous monthly amount. Satellite providers might be the way to go...

Wow cable is really great. I have digital cable, internet, and telephone with them. Included with my cable is a dvr. Dvr's are great. I love so many shows and they conflict all the time so I can watch one and record the other. I can even record 2 shows at once and watch something I already recorded. The only improvement I would make on the Dvr is the memory. You can only hold 25 shows at once. I would like it better if the memory were at least doubled. The high speed internet is great too. I would never go back to dial-up. My telephone service is the most reliable and least expensive. I get unlimited local, local toll, and long distance for one low price. Caller id, call waiting, speed dialing, voice mail, etc is all included. I get all this for less than $100 a month. I would recommend this cable company to anyone....

I've been with WOW Cable for over 8 years now. I don't plan to change anytime soon either. They offer a good variety, great selection, and decent pricing - not to mention their prompt customer service. They offer several different bundles including VOIP phone and internet access. While I don't use their phone service (I got my VOIP service before they started offering it) I am quite happy with their cable and internet services.

...
