inaun says "Much worse than our old washer" about Whirlpool Dishwasher - "Quiet Partner 2" Built-in

I wish I had read some review before buying this pice of junk! Whirlpool has done well in the past for us, so when we needed a new dishwasher we didn't hesitate to get the Quiet Partner II.

It is quieter than our old Maytag, but that is all I can say positive about it! Dishes often do not come out clean, especially if you put too much in ("too much" means not leaving lots of empty space). Soap is left on the glasses -- fill them up with water and we can see the bubbles floating on top! We have even tried different deteregents. Now we are in the habit of just rinsing out the "clean" glasses before using them.

Racks are basic at best, and do not accomodate any tall cookware (for example, there is no way to fit our pizza pan).

Utinsil basket needs rework -- badly placed (you have to be careful no to put anything too tall in the right side or it will block the soap door from opening). Little slots designed to keep silverware seperate are too small. What is worse, the thing...
...

We purchased this machine 8 years ago when this house was built. We knew next to nothing about dishwashers but since we have an open floor plan, we needed a quiet one.

This was "sort of" quiet when we first got it, but after 8 years, we're looking for a new one. Dishes do not come out great and it makes more noise now than my new clothes washer. We're two adults so it's not like we have tons of dishes to do. We've used dishwasher cleaner and we always use Jetclean and still no luck.

Look around and spend a little extra and really get something better for your buck.
...

This is the dishwasher we had installed here at my office. This dishwasher runs EVERY NIGHT, Mon-Fri. We have 18 employees and usually get it pretty full each day with coffee cups, glasses, lunch plates and leftover containers. I don't know how long it runs because we always set the delay so it runs after-hours. We are just now replacing the racks. It has seen a lot of action since APRIL 2002. Seven years = 1,820 wash loads and now new racks. Though we don't require scouring, nor do we load pots or pans, still pretty good for the money, I'd say.
...

Purchased this dishwasher not very long ago and it has since broke! It was never very quiet to start with...considering the name, and it never cleaned the dishes very well. Loved the look of the dishwasher, but as far as quality...it leaves much to be desired. Great price but that's about it. Pretty sure the motor went on it and can buy a new washer cheaper...right. I wish we would have researched more about dishwashers before we just bought one, but I had heard good things about them so I thought we would try and of course the salesman said it was a great running machine...ha. I have now through replacing all appliances in my home have determined Maytag is the answer to all problems. The whirlpool Quiet Partner II is definitly a real piece....! Just before it pooped out, it got really loud and noisy, not to say it wasn't before it started giving us trouble, but it got really bad and then quit. Tried to run it through a cycle and it sounded like it was filling and then just...
...

Electronic control panel needs to be replaced after less than 2 years. The panel surface appears to have come away exposing the electronics behind it to the elements. Repair guy says $300 to replace the panel. At that price, I'm buying a new machine altogether. And NOT another Whirlpool!...

Bought Whirlpool Du1100XTPSB (Stainless Steel) Quiet partner II. It's a very quiet dishwasher as it said. In the past I only turned on the dishwasherat night time before I went to bed and now I am no longer needed to do so. The noraml wash cycle which is a little longer than I expected, about 2 hrs. Overall the dishwasher is good, very good looking and sparkling clean....

WHIRLPOOL QUIET PARTNER II - WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK... POOR QUALITY, POOR PERFORMANCE AND HORRIBLE DESIGN - THE SOAP DISPENSER DOES NOT OPEN COMPLETELY BECAUSE IT IS BEHIND THE UTENCIL TRAY - EVEN IF YOU DO NOT USE THE FIRST TWO SECTIONS OF THE UTENCIL TRAY, IT STILL DOES NOT OPEN - THIS MACHINE RUNS FOREVER - PLAN ON AT LEAST 2-3 HOURS TO COMPLETE A REGULAR WASH CYCLE (IT DEPENDS ON THE MOOD OF THE WASHER I GUESS) AND THE DISHES ARE STILL DIRTY AND "WET" - IT BARELY DRIES THE DISHES - I WOULD LOVE TO CONTACT WHIRLPOOL DIRECTLY AND TELL THEM WHAT I THINK OF THIS MACHINE - I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN WHIRLPOOL AS I HAVE OWNED OTHER APPLIANCES AND WAS SATISFIED - THIS MUST BE THE WORST PRODUCT IN THEIR LINE. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME VENT....

we bought our Whirlpool Quiet Partner II about 3 years ago,and we really don't care for it. Our number 1 complaint is that it takes 3 hours or more to run the most basic "normal" wash cylcle.Thats not counting drying time at all.

Is this the normal time it takes for other peoples Quiet Partner ii?
...

My husband & I have lived in 8 homes in 20 years. We built our current home in 2003, & chose Whirlpool appliances for the kitchen. We have the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, & though it is very quiet, there's nothing else to say even remotely positive about it. My dishes frequently come out dirtier than they went in! I have tried (literally) every dishwashing detergent made, & it doesn't make much difference. It doesn't rinse food off the plates, lipstick stays on the glasses, & don't get me started on the silverware. We have already replaced the racks, because so many tines broke loose. (The plastic wears off, then they rust & break during the cycle). Even on the lowest level, tall glasses don't fit on the top rack, & if you put the silverware caddy in the rack instead of the door, you can't fit utensils in it. I will be receiving a new dishwasher for Christmas, & will never buy Whirlpool again.
...

I bought this dishwasher in hopes of adding the noise issue between the "open room concept" kitchen I have and my family room. I hate having to up the TV to overshadow the sounds of the dishwasher. Unfortunately, this was not the right fit for my problem. This dishwasher is load, makes random clicking noisey and seems to take much longer than the Bosche I own prior. On a good note, it outcleans the Bosche big time. I have been using the same dishsoap but have noticed a much better result. I also like the storing system for the utensil on the door, it allows for more pots and pan space.
...

This machine works well. The silverware tray can be moved to sit on the door or in the bottom tray. The top tray move in 2 positions. You can put pots and pans on the top shelf and they get clean just the same as the bottom tray. It has several settings from Rinse to the Pots and Pans settings. If you like to wash before you wash then you can just run the Rinse cycle and save on the soap in the machine and time it runs. It is very quiet and water efficient. I would buy another if I needed it replaced.
...
