My husband and I purchased this dishwasher 5 years ago. We trusted the brand and the price for it was fair. It was our first dishwasher so we didn't want to buy something that we didn't that was good quality. For the first two years, it worked like a charm. It was quite and cleaned very well. The only thing I didn't care for at that time, it was easy for the kids to just push a button and start it without me knowing. When you have small children, they tend to copy you and when you aren't looking... Anyway, after two years, it started to leak. My husband had it fixed and soon after, it started to leak again. He again had it fixed. Now, after any store warranties are expired, it is making an awful sound when in use. I am not sure what but it seems to be an extremely loud continuous buzz. It doesn't happen right away but when it does, it won't stop. The end result is, I am the new dishwasher because we cannot afford to get it fixed or to buy a new one. I am a bit...
...

terrier51 says "Our Whirlpool dishwasher takes too long to finish the cycle." about Whirlpool Dishwasher

Our whirlpool dishwasher ( Du1145XTPB87 ) works well, cleans well and is quieter than any we have ever owned! How ever it has several features that are quite disturbing. It is supposed to sense the degree of soil and cleanliness. But we wash the dishes before we put them in ! All soil is removed because with just two of us, it does not get run but every 2 or 3 days. The dishwasher still takes one and one half hours to run. It continlally stops every few minutes, supposedly to " sense " the amount of soil, or to see if they are clean. I can not understand why with rather clean dishes it takes so long. If we just scraped off the loose food, I wonder how long it would take then ?

After it finishes the cycle, the dishwashes just sits there with the " washing " lights lit for some time before the " clean " light comes on !

Another irritation is that the " table ware " rack is awkward to fill, and sometimes comes open, occasionally spilling the " table Ware "...
...

Brendar1974 says "Great Idea in Theory" about Whirlpool Dishwasher

I like the Whirlpool dishwasher in theory. It doesn't clean as well as advertised. I have to really rinse every dish before I put it in the dishwasher. It also really absorbs smells. I washed a dish that I made Salmon in and my dishwasher still smells like it almost a year later. That may happen with any dishwasher, but it seems that since it is lined with stainless steel, that it should not smell. I do like the way it is organized. It really holds a lot of dishes. I also like that the top shelf is adjustable. It makes it nice during large dinner gatherings because I can wash so many dishes at once. One other thing that seems to be a cronic problem is that grunge collects under the door ont the bottom of the machine. That needs to be cleaned after every load. I do like the way it looks from the outside. It is really sleek and holds my dishtowel. I don't think I will buy another machine though. I have been a little dissapointed.
...

Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher

This dishwasher is the best one I have very owned or tried. It cleans my dishes great every time. I have not had any problems in the five years that I have had it. It is an extreamly reliable dishwasher and I have had no problems what so ever! The Whirlpool company offers gret service if needed, I have never needed any service. This dishwasher is extremly quit when running, infact, I can stand in front of the dishwasher while it is running and talk to someone on the telephone with absolutley no problems hearing anyone. It is very easy to use, both in loading and unloading your dishes. You can use a spot cleaner if you like but I have never had to use one. I have never had spots on my dishes. I do rinse before loading but I never have to scrub any of my dishes or pots and pans before washing them in the dishwasher. I don't think you would be sorry if you purshased this product. I would highly recommend...
...

Whirlpools portable dishwasher is noisy, like a hurricane. It cleans ok but not perfect and it leaves spots, you cant use tabs because they clog the drain but for around $600 I guess it is a good deal.It does help out with basic bowls and stuff and on the upside can be installed eaither way portable or non-portable and the adapter to the sink comes off easily and the cor is retractable.I would probly rate this one a 7.
...

I have had my Whirlpool dishwasher for over 6 years and it is still working great. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone. The whirlpool dishwasher is one of the best machines I ever had. I never had any problems with it. It's large capacity is great for a large family because you could put as many dishes and pans as you wish and they are really clean after the cycle. It is family friendly because you don't have to spend a long time doing dishes. The speed wash cycle is perfect when you need clean dishes in a hurry. You could run a full cycle in just one hour, which is less half the time of other washer cycles. This whirlpool dishwasher is very efficient. It easily trackles the toughest dishes with the power scour option, or pots and pans cycle. It also has rinse and hold cycle. I use the cool air drying cycle to save on energy and my dishes come out very clean and not streaked.
...

Oh my do you really understand the importance of a whirlpool dishwasher they are so easy to maintain and use it is unbelevable and there is no way you can say they are not worth the money you can load the whirlpool dishwasher and go to the laundry room and start there and it still goes. The cleanning of the whirlpool is so simple reach in pull extra food from tray and your done. Some times the kids forget to rinse but the good old whirlpool does the the job anyway and there is nothing it can't get clean. I usually don't use the drying cycle because mine is a portable whirlpool dishwasher. I have a neighbor and they liked mine so much they went out and bought themselves one and they use theres daily also. It is a big help to the moms of the house it cost a little more but why buy a cheap one that could possible break in 6 months when these last years to me it is worth the money for the time and energy it save me. plus sence mine is portable when I move mine goes with me were I...
...

This little dishwasher has been a godsend to my household. My husband purchased it a few years ago to help with the household chores. I have a skin condition and now I don't have to be concerned about irritating that since I have the dishwasher. Portable, compact and works to perfection. I recommend this product to anyone who is shopping for a dishwasher or needs to replace their old one. Whilpool products are of the highest quality and the price is affordable. Very happy with the performance and workmanship of this product. Five stars seem to too few to rate this great product!...

I purchased my Whirlpool Dishwasher over 5 years ago and it has worked perfectly for me. I purchased my Whirlpool Dishwasher at Lowe's Home Improvement Center in Sayre, Pa and it is the model Output III. The price was very reasonable and the model and color that I wanted was in stock. It was also very easy for my husband to install. I mostly use the "quick wash", but when I have family dinners, the regular wash is definitely needed. I also use my dishwasher to give my best china a quick rinse off before I use them for the holidays. I don't use the drying feature in order to save money so I cannot comment on how efficient that feature is. Being that I am disabled, I can no longer stand at the sink for the length of time necessary to hand wash dishes anymore, so this dishwasher has been a godsend. I have always pre-rinsed my dishes before putting them into the dishwasher, so I cannot comment on it's capability of cleaning dishes with food still on them. My overall...
...
