I like my stir crazy. It makes great popcorn very quickly. However, it is hard to clean and the lid that turn the top into a bowl does not stay on. Even with those negatives I continue to use it because it makes such great popcorn!

This makes great popcorn, but it's a disaster! The oil is messy and hard to clean off the inside. The "bowl" you are supposed to be able to eat from, leaks every time. And it's HUGE! I don't know where in the kitchen one is supposed to store this. With a bread maker, a mixer, a toaster, a coffee maker.....etc. No thanks. Garage sale.

Being a very busy single mother with little time to waste, the WEST BEND stir crazy corn popper can not be beat. The heating mechanism is super, super fast which is an added advantage over other corn poppers similar to it. It heats up very quickly which is a great feature when you or your children are hungry for popcorn and do not want to have to wait long for your favorite treat. The stirring mechanism is fantastic, also. You do not have to stand by the popper, shaking or stirring constantly to keep the kernels from scorching or burning, while your hand gets tired from the constant movement. The stir crazy corn popper does this task for you, making cooking popcorn that much more easy and efficient with very little waste of precious time. Also, with the stir crazy feature, each and every kernel gets popped with no waste of unpopped kernels, making for a bigger batch of popcorn. Compared to other corn poppers, the stir crazy corn popper by West Bend is a great bargain for the money....

Out of the box there is no assembly. The Westbend Stir Crazy Popcorn maker is plug in and go. All you need to do is plug it in add some oil and popcorn. Place the cover on and wait. The cover of the popcorn maker doubles as a serving bowl. On top of the cover is a recessed are with a black cover. This is for placing butter in . The butter melt on drips down on to the popcorn. This is a nice feature but I usuall add a little more after popping is done.. The nice feature is the two small rods that spins durin the popping. This allows for a more even popping of the kernals. About 90-95 percent of the kernals do get popped. The orerall construction of the machine is good. The are no switches to mess around with. The power cord is short. Around a foot in length. The bowl construcion is is little thin. As mention earlier you can use the cover as a serving bowl, but I tend to put the popcorn in a regular bowl. Overall this is a very good popcorn maker. I bought this appliance because I like popcorn but was getting tired of microwaving it in a bag all of the time. This appliance consistently pops the corn well and evenly thanks to the stirring rod. It is a nice balance between using a covered pan on the stove that you have to stand over and watch and that blasted microwave popcorn bag that you can easily burn if you do not watch it closely. The two things that are true are that: 1) The stirring rod does scratch the surface of the popcorn popper beginning with your very first use. There is no way to avoid this. 2) This appliance does take up quite a bit of room. Many kitchens do not have very much storage, so make sure you have a place to store it before you buy it. Also, I would not recommend using the area that melts your butter as it pops. It makes for a really messy clean up considering that adding your butter immediately after it pops or before you begin is just as easy.

I crave crunchy...this can mean diet disaster. Whenever I get the urge to fall off the diet, I get out my Stir Crazy Popper, olive oil and my popcorn and in 5 minutes I'm nibbling on something low in fat, high in fiber and filling. I even pop it up the night before and take it to work the next day.

The Stir Carzy Popcon Popper makes just enough popcorn for us everytime! It also lets us determine how much butter to us. Kinda personalizes it, everytime! Something you can't beat is the fact it has it's own bowl!! WOW!! No extra dishes to wash!! Gotta Love it!! We have used our almost every week since we have owned it....

I received a West Bend 82306 Stir Crazy Corn Popper as a Christmas gift 5 years ago. I still use it about 3 times per week! It works just as good as it did when I first used it. It is simple and easy to use. It still amazes me that it pops every piece of popcorn I put on the iron. My family begs for popcorn all the time! The minute they hear me popping popcorn they come running. I even taught my young teen how to use it supervised. You would think the plastic bowl would wear out after 5 years of heating and using but it is still perfect! I love that the popping arm does all the work. No more burning microwave popcorn and no more standing at the stove shaking a pot. Also, you can make as much popcorn as you want. So if you need a big batch then make one and if you need a smaller batch--then use less popcorn. This is really awesome becuase it limits the waste--no longer are you throwing out popcorn that you didn't need. I highly recommend this product. Take......

I recently purchased a Stir Crazy Corn Popper- and I am thoroghly impressed! For years I simply used bagged popcorn- and I am constantly burning it- or I am left with tons of unpopped popcorn! I then tried an air popper- and I was frustrated that none of the salt I sprinkled on top would stick! I then turned to the skillet- which I never could master- being that I couldn't see what was going on, and it was tricky getting it flipped over and into my bowls!

When I saw the Stir Crazy Corn Popper- and I knew it was a keeper! It has a clear bowl which allows you to see whats happening while the stirring rod stirs your popcorn allowing every seed to pop! There is a butter well at the top of the popper which you place butter in and it slowly melts all over your popcorn!! When the popcorn is popped it shuts off automatically so you don't burn any popcorn! Amazing! No more burnt popcorn! You simply put a cover over the butter well, flip it over and you have a bowl of popcorn...
