Since recently starting Phentramin-D with a low-fat diet, I've lost 6 pounds in 15 days. I have not experienced any side effects, but that's because I'm paranoid and make certain to never eat more than 15 grams of fat per meal as suggested. Also daily exercise is important with this supplement.
...

After trying to lose weight for the last thirty years, I have found that the best way is to get away from the kitchen table. I started by eating smaller portions, and not going back for seconds. That helped, so I added parking a little farther from the store, and having to take even a few more steps a day also helps. I can,t say that I do not eat the occasional piece of chocolate, or that I eat everything that is healthy for me, but I find myself eating more fruits and vegatables , than I used to. The last time I went to my doctor, she said that I lost 10 pounds. That was in a months time. I feel alot better, and my clothes fit a little looser, so I will try to keep up the good work. I have tried to do several diets, and not one of them worked for me. There are so many different things on todays market, I wouldn,t know what to try, if I wanted to, so I guess that I am going to stick to what works for me.
...

I have tried so many diets over my lifetime. I mean many, many diets, products, programs - you name it, I've tried it short of surgery. I found out there is no shortcut. The only thing that has worked for me is a free online community called Sparkpeople. I have learned how to track my food & exercise. There are so many different types of teams to join. As a member, I have my own webpage, joined different teams, blog, and interact with other Sparkpeople members. There are so many resource articles, exercise videos, health articles and so many tools to help learn to eat healthy. One of the tools that hooked me was the feedback reports on how you do daily, weekly, or monthly based on what you want to keep track of. They have results charted that can be printed. There are recipes where members have posted. There are so many motivating techniques all under one roof. There is a point system that where you can earn points based on your activities. I may not lose instantly but I have kept...
...

I have tried everything, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, South Beach and self control. Nothing seemed to work. Then I joined a community walk/run group. How awesome was that. They were very supportive. I met new people and I became very devoted. I began particiapting in 5k, 10k, and 13.1 runs. After four months of the program, I got to the point that I would run independently and was self motivated. Then the aches and pains began to plague me. I was proactive and sought treatment. Great! I was back on track. Now a year later, I have an injury that has competely sidelined me. My weight is back on and the thought of starting over is very discouraging. So, I decided to feel sorry myself and eat whatever I wanted. The problem is, I remember how it felt to be smaller and now I so uncomfortable being this heavy again. I am excited about the memory recall, but upset by my limitations. So what am I going to do. I have begun developing a plan for when I amno longer...
...

I have tried EVERY diet known to man. I even tried a religious diet, where I had to say a several prayers before eating to see if it was hunger or not. I was looking through the internet looking for the Newest diet for me to try. The page that came up was the food pyramids. I thought I have never read about the food pyramids so I took the time to read it. After reading it I thought well I never tried this so I sat down and figured out for a diet of 1600 calories what foods I need from the food pyramids. I then made up menus for the first week and I thought well that was alot work I better try it for the week.

I was really happy with the food I ate for that week, I was never hungry and I thought I was feeling good. So I decided to do it for another week to see if I still fell good. I made another week worth of a menu with the food from the food pyramids. I made a different menu from the first week because I didn't want to get sick of the same foods.

I am on my 4th week of doing this way...
...

Its seems I am always on a diet. I am a firm totally believe in diets and excercise but I cant seem to commite to them. I will not take diet pills or teas or anything that that. I feel that stuff is joke. But I dont like excercising and ice cream is just so much better then celery sticks. I know I use my own accentives to actually get out there and do it. I may have to be put on thyrod meds but I am so against any type of medication I figured this could be my self motivation. If I push myself enough to bring up the numbers I will not need to be on the meds. That has been working for me. I am actually making myself go out and walk and do excerise. I will tell myself when I feel lazy that If I fall behind I will have to get on the meds and I dont want that. I guess everyone needs their own motivator...mine isnt the little poka dot bikini it is meds. So my biggest advice is find that one thing that will push you.
...

Ok, First of all this is'nt a item its advice. Ok, so first of all the best type of exercise you can get is walking about 2 to 3 miles a day. If you run out of breath when your walking slow down just a little bit. Another important detail is that you should have a partner to talk to. I also found a way to get a little good stuff in your diet. ONCE every month you can have a small starbucks or meal from Mcdonalds or Burger King only once. He are some things that you might wan't to change about how you eat. Instead of fried chicken eat grilled chicken with a salad with no vinager or ceaser. Instead of white rice eat brown rice. And for dessert have a little cup of non-fat yogurt. every day after you take your 2 to 3 mile walk don't have something unhealthy and don't have a full meal either. Just eat a little snack before breakfast lunch or dinner. Some snacks can be a couple of grapes, grapefruit, a pear, a apple, and a banana. And one other thing is try not to eat out that much but if you...
...

Diets in general are very hard to stick too. They actualy have recieved a bad name for just that reason. I am a fan of diets and believe that anyone with the will to lose weight can do it with the exception of those who are immobile or have any sort of weight disease. I think if shedding a few pounds is your goal than dieting will work. Now if you are trying to take off over 15 pounds dieting in general may not be for you. Weightloss is a struggle therefore if you want to lose alot of weight you should consider healthy lifestyle instead of dieting. Healthy lifestyle allows you to lose weight and you are living healthier. That way you adjust to eating more veggies and less fats , to being more active and getting involved in healthy activities.

In my opinion diets are wonderful but they are temporary. If you starve yourself from carbs or calories you have to ask yourself if you can continue doing that through your life. If not I would consider adapting a healthy lifestyle instead of...
...

I have been watching my weight and trying to lose weight for a long, long, time. i have tried tons and tons of kinds of diets. the easiest one i have found is just to have a bowl of cereal for breakfast a salad for lunch and a sensable dinner and go for a two mile walk for six out of the seven days a week. i have been doing this for about a month and i started at being two hundred and seventy pounds and now i am two hundred and fourty-six pounds. i feel great after i get home from a walk and i start to feel so much better about myself after i get on the scale. you can also do really well if you do like the biggest loser show and only weigh yourself once a week and then that way you will not want to dissapoint yourself so you will do good. then when you get on the scale and see that you have lost weight you will feel so good about yourself too. you just have to stick to your goal and you will reach it.
...

Everyone always hears fad diets and diets that seem too good to be true. but really, all you really need to do is just pick the right things. If you like yogurt for breakfact, choose lite, and you saved already almost 50-100 calories depending on the brand. if you pick lite syrup on your pancakes instead, then you save about 100 calories too. there are so many different ways to save calories. If you save 500 calories a day(it sounds like a lot, but really, the little things add up) then that will be a pound gone for that week. and of course exercise always helps. take the dog for a walk, or just take a short ten minute walk on lunch break. after all is added up and you start walking more and longer distances, your eating will also start to automaticly be better because of the small changes your making. soon, all will be added up. you wont lose it all in the first week or two, but it will take a bit of time. and since your doing it the right way and that they will become regular habits,...
...
