I am the number on fan when it comes to barbequing! I barbeque year round - in the wind, heat, cold, rain, - you name it - nothing stops me!! My past weber was a wedding present, and it lasted over 20 years! So when it was time for a new one, there was no question! I looked at gas grills, but I just don't find them as worthwhile, since you just don't have the same taste as from charcoal grills. We bought the Weber One-touch Silver Charcoal Grill. It is large enough to cook for a large party, and I can fit the meat and veggies on at the same time when I am cooking for my family and friends! It grills evenly and if you use mesquite or some type of chips and leave the cover on, it makes a great smoked flavor! It also works great with grilling planks! We cook salmon on the grilling planks, with the Weber lid on, and it makes the best salmon, with no need for much seasoning at all! Clean up is a breeze!

The weber grill we have is just FABULOUS!!! Though I am not the grill master, I am the decision maker.

We use it on Thanksgiving for a turkey that is moist and heavenly, as well as for roast beef and pork loin. Burgers and chicken are also a treat.

I utilize a grill pan for veggies as well as some forms of fish.

What is great is you can use it as a regular grill, or you can puchase the side holders which keep the briquets on each side...this is how you do the turkey and the roasts.

I would never be satisfied with a gas grill.

Its a simple design i used for years at home. When I moved out of my house, I decided I would get a gas grill thinking that the convenience mattered all the more in my "busy" life. But no matter which gas grill I used, the food never came out right. Times were tough to judge, hot spots tough to see, and the flavor was never there. I was frustrated and finally my father in law, an avid charcoal griller, suggested I go back to charcoal. I made the plunge back three years ago.

In the end, going back to charcoal was the best cooking decision I made. The Weber and its perfect heating design is exactly what I needed. I am thrilled with how my food gets cooked, the flavor and the fun grilling is again. Still, there are some downside hence the four stars...

This model is smaller than the other Weber so it uses less charcoal but is still suitable for a 5-6 person family. Any more than that and you have to cook things like burgers in batches. Also, putting veggies and meat is difficult...
