Love the VW EOS. While premium gas is recommended, the car runs great on regular.

Get 31-33 MPG highway. Love the combination convertible top and sunroof. 2.0T engine very quick.
...

spintaltap says "A little too much too little." about Volkswagen Eos - 2007

The Volkswagen Eos although a little on the petit side is nonetheless a comfortable ride, and one with a boost to boot. With the standard worksmanship of any Volkswagen the interior is of suitably pleasing calibre. As forementioned, somewhat of a tight squeeze when seated to its full capacity, it, nevertheless, allows a passbly comfortable ride, for the driver especially as well as for the passengers. Yes, the Eos fired by its 3.2 liter V6 engine can pack quite a punch when cruising on the Freeway; or the Autobahn anyone?
Yes, yes all is good and fine, the speed the horsepower (246 to be precice) and the design are all ideal for the average buyer; nothing spectacular here though.
...

BKelloggSr says "New to United States, Well Tested in Europe" about Volkswagen Eos - 2007

I trust my dealer, and I have trusted him for forty years. He is honest, forthright and conscientious. So, whatever he endorses, we drive. We have followed him through Mercedes-Benz, until they became too self-impressed, to Peugeot, until standards fell to "Well, it's not a lemon", now to Volkswagen, who clearly strive for Quality. In our experience, Volkswagen is matchless for its sustained attention to reliability.

New to the United States, the Eos is Europe's Top Selling convertible, and thoroughly road-tested before being unveiled here. It is a fairly priced, high-speed cruiser, with 28 miles-per-gallon credentials. Check it out for the details on its many luxury features....

daniels318 says "A hard-top convertible with great pep and speed!" about Volkswagen Eos - 2007

The most obvious and incredible feature of this car is the hard-top convertible -- with a huge sunroof built in! It is the first (and only) of its kind and I could not be happier with it. It goes in all weather conditions (I live in New York) with no problems. The very peppy 4 cylinder turbo easily outperforms my V-6 Accord, and the auto transmission shifts almost imperceptibly. Good sound system, comfortable interior, a back seat that will actually hold two normal-sized human beings, ample trunk space (even some left with the top down), and great styling IMHO. For the money, it's a great car. The only other luxury options, which are much more, are the BMW 3-series convertible and the Volvo convertible. I still think I chose wisely. Love that sunroof!!...
