The last two TVs I've purchased were a 36" JVC that weighed what seemed like 1000 pounds and the Vizio 42" LCD flat screen. Both cost the exact same amount (although the JVC was purchased about 5 years before.)

It's amazing how far the TV world has come. The Vizio was simple for 2 people to hang on a wall with minimal effort and the picture beats the old JVC in every aspect. It was torture trying to even move the JVC off a stand. The hardest thing about hanging the vizio was finding studs and leveling the wall-mount.

The Vizio has all the features you'd expect and the 'quick start' manual is logical and easy to follow.

A couple of nice features are the detachable stand (a requirement since a lot of people hang these on the wall) and the detachable speaker for people who want to hook into an external sound source. The remote is also easy to use but a little bulky. Both of my cheap, generic remotes have the Vizio codes so the real remote is sitting unused in a drawer right now....

We've had our 42" Vizio HDTV about a year now, and we couldn't be more satisfied. The picture is soooo clear and sharp, you feel like you're part of the program. Even when not in HD mode, the picture is still very good. We have a surround sound system hooked up to it, and it's awesome. Even without the surround sound system, though, the regular surround sound on the TV is still good. There are plenty of ports to hook other electronics to this TV too. We have an HD DVD recorder/player hooked up as well.

Now for the best part.....the price! You'd expect to pay a premium price for all the features you get and the quality of the picture, but this TV was actually the lowest priced 42" TV at Walmart when I bought it. I highly recommend Vizio TV's to anyone who's in the market for a new set.

Purchased the 42 inch Vizio LCD HDTV at Costco and it was a great deal for the money. Picture quality it wonderful and the sound is great. Vizio is a new brand that is up and coming and so far they have good quality items at a great price. They are giving the 'bigger' brands a run for their money.

Wow! What a steal ...The vizio t.v. has great HD. The soud is premium quality. Sears is a great place to buy electronics. I buy everything thier from electronics, washer and dyers, to clothes for the whole family....

I bought my Vizio 42" HDTV and I am ready to purchase another one for our game room. We have never had a problem with this product. The color, picture and sound are unbelievably GREAT. I recommend this TV to anyone! The price is great for someone like me who is on a budget and want a good bit of savings.

Visio has a good picture quality and a lot of great features and the best part is that it won't break the bank! This brand was rated very high by consumer reports. It was great quality for a good price. The brand has few complaints from consumers and most people find this brand easy to set up and use. If I can set it up, anyone can! You could go for priceier for the status or you can get the same thing in this product for less!...

I have the 42" VIZIO television and I LOVE it! Bought it last year for my new apartment and I was amazed by how much you get for your money. I got it at Sam's Club and it's better than the one for sale at WalMart. It really is the smary buy for a great looking tv - for those of you who aren't too concerned with the name on the piece. The picture isn't AS good as other brands necessarily, but good enough for me and the HD quality is great. The sound needs work......

My Hitachi 52" LCD TV went out and I was forced into making a television purchase and quickly. I found myself drifting toward the Vizio because of the price more than anything but was unsure of this brand. I bought it hesitantly in a hurry and love the quality. It is way better than the Hitachi and the RCA I had previous to that. It was a good buy and I would buy Vizio without hesitation in the future.

Fair warning, on any vizio flatscreen, was told by walmart electronics dept person most of the vizio's are non returnable. Supposedly they go out in a matter of months. The vizio's were returned so often, that the walmart warranty program was strained, and the employee we spoke to said she was not allowed to honor many of the warranties on the Vizio's. She was so frustrated with the returns herself she said she will not recommend a vizio, TV or not. Yikes!!...

My husband and I purchased this television about 6 months ago and we love it!! The picture and sound are amazing. We paid about $1200 for it and we feel it was money very well spent. It is very easy to connect all of your devices to it and my boys fight over who is going to get to hook their video game system up to it.

I do get a little nervous when I clean the screen. It comes with a small orange cleaning cloth that you wipe the screen with. It just feels like you are going to damage the screen when you clean it.

I brought this TV in December. The picture quality is great. I am very happy with it. I am planning on buying the 47 inch in December. I did a lot of research looked at several different TV's. I found for the price under 1100 dollars this TV was the best buy. The set up and program of the TV was easy.

A good, sound, LCD flat screen HDTV for a very good price. With a screen made by Samsung, and components coming out of Korea, they have managed to produce a dependable, very affordable, 42 inch flat screen that compares with the other brands with similar specs for a third less cost.

The Vizio is 720p High Definition, not the 1080p, the very high High Definition, but for those not wanting to spend all that extra dough for those extra pixels, this TV is a good way to go. I found the non high def, and high def viewing to be quite acceptable.

I was also very pleased with the sound quality for the money. I had read in several consumer publications stating that the trick to acquiring a good buy in a new LCD was to look for superior sound quality as that was what set many of the flat screens apart from one another, with the rest of the stats being somewhat redundant in the product line.
