When I brought my 42 hd plasma home i did not realize what i was actually missing as far as picture goes, but then I hooked up the hd and wow what a difference. The quality of the picture is so hard to put into words. You can see every little detail. You can all but see if a hair is out of place. The 42 inch is an ideal size to watch it makes the movies and shows just come to life, I do not think, no I know I will never go back to regular TV, it just would be a waste of time, I like the feeling of almost actually being there. The sound quality that you get from this vizio is wonderful. I have a square living room and it is almost like the sound bounces around in there, then when you hook up the vizio sound bar; wow; what an experience, it is like going to the movies. You can feel the sound go right through you, so when you are watching a thriller imagine the feeling of suspense that you get. Get this it is well worth the money.

Purchased at Costco GREAT price.automatically finds best picture for you through cable/dish. Have had no problems. great sound and picture. great company from the guy who invented slim computer monitors. I hear they have great customer service with around 80 employees.

Vizio TV. Great TV great picture and sound. What I like is it can be viewed from all angles. Picture is clear not fuzzy even close up. Slinder in size and that is great for space saving issues. I would recommend it.

We recently bought a Vizio 42" HD-TV and we were very excited about it. Much to our dismay it turned out to be lousy as far as sound goes.The picture and quality are excellent. We just cant seem to get the sound to our specifications.The quality of the sound is good it just isin't loud enough. I would recommend this product for picture quality but as far as sound goes no way.I like the slim design of it and how light it is and the picture quality is wonderful. If you want a product with a good picture at a reasonable price this is the product for you.

I have been wanting to go high tech. Since the HD's first came out. But being so bargain savvy I waited. And the Vizio brand is and was well worth the wait. There prices are at least half the price of the other models on the market. The quality is just as good and in some cases better. We loved the 42 inch HD model so much we bought another one for our bedroom. And it was very easy to hook up........ KEEP up the good work VIZIO

I purchased the VIZIO 42" SV420XVT, which is part of the new XVT series Vizio came out with and it's an amazing tv! I did a lot of research before settling for this one, and I read a lot of great reviews on Vizio so I decided to check into it. The first thing I noticed, is that Vizio runs cheaper than a Sony or Panasonic, but the quality is just as great. So that's great in it alone. But with the new XVT series, they offer 120Hz, as opposed to 60Hz, it has the 1080p, instead of 720p, 5.1 Surround Sound Upgrade, and it's just overall beautiful.

So all in all, I recommend this tv. Vizio is a great brand and have great quality tv's, and many to choose from. I think they are able to lower the price because they don't do as much advertising as those other brands....

My husband and I were shopping around for a new television. We found the 42" LCD Vizio as a wholesale wearhouse. It was such a great deal, we could not resist. Shortly after we brought our Vizio home, we purchased an HD dvd player and ordered HD tv from our cable provider. The clarity is amazing. I love the picture in picture option. I get to watch my favorite tv show while my husband plays a video game in picture. Now, my husband and I get to cuddle together in front of our Vizio while we still get to do our own activities....

excellent tv. the picture is awsome, the sound is great. very easy to use....
