titanium7 says "The absolute best blender/grinder on the market!" about Vita-Mix 5000 Variable Speed Blender

I'd never give up my Vita-Mix 5000. It's great for everything. When I make bread, I grind my own flour from wheat berries, old-fashioned oats, almost any whole grain. I also use it to make fruit smoothies, whole vegetable juices (my favorite is carrot, celery, beet, apple, spinach, orange juice and ice!) , margaritas, gin gimlets, soup, just about anything you can imagine! I have ice cube trays that make huge ice cubes. This machine chews them into slush in less than a minute and it even chops up celery without the strings getting stuck in the blades. The only drawback for me is the noise but I guess that's a tradeoff for the speed and consistency of what you're making. When I do soup, which takes about 4 minutes, I put it outside to run so I don't have to listen to the noise. But, for everything else, it only takes a few seconds to a minute to make whatever it is you want. It's also perfect when I have the grandbabies over, I can blend up whatever we're having so I don't have to buy baby...
...

I have had the Vita-Mix 5000 Variable Speed Blender now for about four years and I love it. I wanted to start making smoothies and this is the perfect blender for the job. I found it very easy to blend up all the ingredients with ease. I never had a blender so powerful. Other blenders I have had did not have the power to blend things up. I always had to do things in small portions and very slowly. I hated it. The Vita-Mix 5000 took away my frustration, and now in the economic situation of the United States I have had to start a garden just to survive the times. I am canning and the Vita-Mix 5000 makes it easy. If I need to puree things for preserving the Vita-Mix 5000 is the perfect accessory for the job. Who knew an appliance would help provide for your family and that is something we all could use. Something we all need. Something we can't do without. I love my Vita-Mix 5000.
...

The Vita-Mix 5000-My favorite friend. Oh my goodness what a wonderful machine. Everything you have ever heard about this mixer is TRUE. Makes wonderful smoothies then makes delicious hot soups. This mixer makes making smoothies and cleaning up the mess so easy that you don't mind using the machine. You are aware of the machines we buy then never use because they are so hard to clean. It's so much easier to make a sandwich and forget thinking healthy. But this mixer is fast and easy. I have had my machine for years and it still works great. No problems at all. Last month I decided to try the Jack Lalane juicer. I thought maybe I would get to use more of the fruit than I do in my Vita. When I make a smothie I don't throw the entire piece of fruit in like Mr LaLane tells us to do. I peal and remove seed and take those extra steps. Well I bought the machine and oh what a mistake that was. I made one drink and it was delicious but then it took me thirty minutes to clean the darn...
...

my-2-cents says "Vita-Mix- You will never need another blender again" about Vita-Mix 5000 Variable Speed Blender

Our Vita-Mix is 7 years old and we use it at least weekly. It is hard to break, and even if you do break it, they will fix it. Right after we bought it, I managed to burn out the moter (totally my fault!) and we call the company. Right away they sent us the part we needed and an install guide, free of charge. I took me less than 2 minutes to install the part. Most people will not have to do that because there is a safety on it that turns the machine of when it reaches a certain temperature. You just have to let it cool for 15 minutes and then you can use it again.

I use it to make fruit smoothies from frozen fruit and any milk (even powdered milk) or yougurt I might have on hand. It also whips cream beautifully and makes perfect crumbs out of stale bread and such. I also used it to mash boiled pumpkin for making pies. The list goes on and on, just be creative.

It is pretty expensive for anyone who dosn't use a blender often, but if you use it frequently, it pays for itself....
...

We purchased a Vitamix Blender several years ago after watching the demonstrations of it for a couple of years at the New Mexico State Fair. My husband was convinced it would help us to be more healthy eaters. Although it is a great product, I'm not sure it has helped us become more healthy eaters!

At first, of course, we used it and tried various recipes, but it seems that the novelty wore off rather quickly. The blender is super-powerful and I don't think I could easily go back to a regular blender after using this one. It's almost scary how powerful it is. It does do a tremendous job of blending all kinds of things, however. It makes pureeing a breeze. There is always the cleanup, but it is relatively easy since the bottom part does not come apart. You just rinse it out, add some water and a couple of drops of detergent and whir it up!

I've always had a countertop space problem, so it has been difficult to find a place to store this piece of equipment. Right now it...
...

I have had my Vita-mix for over 10 years. It is a work horse and can blend, chop, almost anything! One container I use for hard items (like coffee beans, herbs, making bread dough) and the other container (wet container) I used for fruit smoothies, green smoothies, salad dressings, ice cream, sorbet, you name it. It has a 2 hp motor and has worked flawlessly for years and I use it on a daily basis. This one item can replace many of your other kitchen appliances.

I have had my Vitamix 3600 for at least 25 years, if not longer. The most recent model is a 5200, more powerful and attractively built. I'd love this new version, but my old Vitamix is lasting and lasting! We use it as our primary blender, for cooking as well as making drinks. Our family favorite use is to make smoothies with frozen fruit and ice cubes and our favorite add-ins.

I also use the Vitamix to make hot and tasty soups. My husband is a gardener and we often have an abundance of those great home grown tomatoes. I will put them in the Vitamix along with seasoning and maybe a little milk and let 'er run. It is not a quiet machine, (though the newer models seem to be less noisy) but it will soon have a steaming cup of tomato soup ready to eat. It does anything a blender does and more.

I used to use it to grind grains and knead bread until I got a breadmaker. I do notice the blades are not quite as sharp as they used to be, but come on, I am not as sharp as I used to...
...

Choose the Vita MIx blender for a new healthy lifestyle. Using the Vita Mix, you can create your own healthy meals from fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and almost any other ingredient you can imagine.

After watching the Vita Mix presentation several years ago, I purchased the product and have had no regrets. I love making my own peanut butter out of regular and honey roasted nuts. I know that there are absolutely no preservatives or addatives in the peanut butter I make and I feel confident consuming the product and providing as an extra treat for my pets. Yes, my dogs absolutely love the peanut butter made in my Vita Mix.

I also make wonderful, healthy soups with fresh ingredients in the Vita Mix. You do not have to use a stove top for these soups and you don't run the risk of cooking out the beneficial vitamins and minerals in your fresh vegetables. All you need is some warm water, the vegetables you love, and some you don't added in small quantaties, and the power of the...
...

The Vitamix is the best machine in the world. I use mine for smoothies, ice cream, salad dressing, soups. I would not be able to eat without this machine. and it is so easy to clean. Just rinse it with the sprayer and you are good to go. Sometimes I throw it in the dishwasher if it has oily stuff on it or put some soap in the container and blend it but mostly you are good if you just spray it out. It makes nuts so creamy you can use them as a base for soup or ice cream. It blends vegetables so you don't even know you are eating them. If mine got broken I would buy a new one the same day....

The one word that could be used to describe this blender is "AWESOME". There is absolutely nothing this unit cannot do. Able to leap tall buildings, just about. It has so much ommph, you can even make soup with it. The unit makes great smoothies, malts, you name it. It has enough gumption that we make healthy food for our dogs grinding whole chicken parts to puree with no hassle at all. It amazes me every time I use it, that it can just torque itself through any task you give it. I bet it could pull out tree stumps! Throw in fruit, core and all, and it makes it into juice. No bits of stuff floating around, just juice.

On top of the incredible performance this blender offers, it's simple to clean. Just pour in soap and water, and turn it on. Voila! It's done! We've owned this blender for 10 years now, and it's still going strong. Wouldn't think of owning another brand, as it's paid for itself 10 times over. It's a great value for the money.
...

Plus, the blender comes with a 7-year warranty, something you certainly won't find with other brands. Its great for people who are busy and need quick meal ideas. You can make soups, smoothies, ice creams, etc, all in a matter of minutes....

We have had this "blender" for almost a year now & can't live without it. It has changed drastically how much fresh fruit & vegetables we eat daily. I can't decide if my favorite part is how well it blends seeds, etc. (which means less prep time) or how easy it cleans up afterwards. Haven't tried soups yet since we are hooked on the fruit & vegetable smoothies, but can't see why they wouldn't be great as well. If it is healthy, we toss it in & it always turns out great. We don't even bother with yogurt or honey since the mix of fruit with the veggies always bring some sweetness to the drink....
