I come from a family of professional photographers. We only use Viewsonic monitors since they are the most professional and color calibrated to the industry standard. We own 6 View Sonic monitors ranging from 19-22 in and will not buy any other brand.

Since we do work out of the studio as well as at home, we need a dependable brand that we can count on. Viewsonic fits the bill.

It is easy to set up, as well as easy to calibrate to all the graphic programs we use in designing wedding albums. It plays well with Photoshop and all the other graphuc programs that are recommended by my daughter's graphic desing courses.

The 22" widescreen makes it very easy to manipulate thecomplicated programs such as photoshop. You can have all the tool bars open and still have plenty of room on the screen to view your work with no clutter on the actual pictures.

Set up was as easy as plug it in, connect it tot he computer and turn it on.
...

This Viewsonic monitor is one of the best for the price!

The picture sharpness, brightness, and clairty were top notch! The connectors of both VGA and DVI made it really easy to hook up a desktop computer and to hook up my laptop when needed.

The adjustment buttons were a bit awkward to use, but the on/off button, if you do use it, was still very convenient. The monitor does auto adjust itself readily....

This monitor is such a step up from the old CRTs of the past. Text is crisp, graphics are clean and the refresh rate is fantastic. With the wider screen it is so easy to set up mulitple windows for dragging and dropping as well as being able to read something in one window and write something or comments in another. I don't have a need for multiple windows all the time, but this fits the bill. The price was right and takes up a lot less space on my desktop that 2 or 3 standard sized monitors would. The only way to go!...

This Samsung Widescreen LCD Monitor offers razor-sharp, widescreen image clarity and a host of innovative features. A wider viewing angle and 16.7 million brilliant colors amaze you with clear, life-like images. The 226BW has a remarkable 0.282-mm pixel pitch (distance between pixels), and a 1000:1 contrast ratio (DCR 3000:1) for outstanding clarity.
Samsung's MagicColor improves and adjusts mid-level colors to shades the eye accepts as natural. MagicBright creates an optimal viewing environment, based on the the image you're watching, and MagicTune is Samsung's OSD (On-Screen Display) solution that provides a simple, convenient adjustment to the image quality.

The 226BW features an advanced dual interface for processing both analog and digital signals. It works with all major operating systems (including Microsoft Vista Premium), and the 2ms response time virtually eliminates the "blur" found in 25, 16, and 12ms monitors. Whether you're working, enjoying your photos and videos, or gaming,...
...

I bought four of these 22" LCD monitors. I have two of these monitors on each of my two Macintosh computers. I have them set up so that the picture is continuous. When I use Photoshop, I keep my work on one monitor and the tool palettes on the other monitor. This configuration really speeds up my work. The picture clarity and color are great. When I'm not using Photoshop. I keep my email program open on the second monitor. That's very handy. I have an EyeTV so that I can watch cable TV as a picture in a picture. Since I switched to Verizon Fiber Optics. I can stretch the TV picture to the full 22" with perfect clarity. The button controls on the front of the monitor take a little getting used to. The instructions are clear however and I don't see the buttons as a major problem since you set up your configuration only once and forget it. The narrow frame around the screen is black. I noticed in the store that monitors with a white or chrome frame around were somewhat distracting. The black...
...

I have this monitor but with the iPod dock instead (VX2245wm). I purchased this item about a year ago and have had no problems with color fading or dead pixels. The size of the screen is huge. The colors and clarity are far better than the Dell LCD I had been using for the past 3 years. I haven't had a chance to utilize the iPod dock so I cannot give that feature a fair review.

I purchased this monitor because of the many attractive features. It has four USB ports, an eight-in-one media card reader, head phone jack, built-in speakers (but don't rely on these solely for entertainment), volume control knob, DVI/VGA connectivity, 5ms pixel response time and good resolution (1,680x1,050 pixels ). The overall look of the monitor is one of the best I've seen thus far (besides the new Sony monitors on the market).

I have had no problems with the VX2245wm. Web surfing, word processing and DVD playback have been above average. I have noticed, though, that when I return from sleep mode......

I bought this TV thru my Union and I love it. I've never had a hi-def flat screen. It's beautiful. This picture is clear and I cannot even believe how many odd channels it gets. It wasn't difficult to figure out. Instead of the confusing manual it comes with an instruction DVD. Very awesome....

LCD computer monitors have been dropping sharply in price and the ViewSonic VX2235wm is a shining example. I bought the VX2235wm at Costco, and it was $300 after a $50 coupon.

Bottom line: The ViewSonic VX2235wm is definitely worth the money.

What It Is

The ViewSonic VX2235wm is a widescreen computer LCD monitor with a 22-inch diagonal screen. The screen assembly is a svelte 2.25 inches deep. On its stand, the VX2235wm measures 19 inches tall. The unit, with the mount, weighs bit more than 13 pounds.

Directly underneath the screen are two small built-in speakers. In the center under the screen are five buttons to control the display. The five buttons are annoyingly hard to press and I have to carefully aim at them with a well-placed fingernail to successfully use them. ViewSonic needs to re-think this awkward control button arrangement.

The connectors on the back panel are very simple: one VGA port, one DVI port, a mini stereo audio connector and a standard three-pin power connector. You...
...
