I remember as a child my mother using vick's vaporub on me. she would rub it on my chest, throat and under my nose. i remember the warm vapors and felt relaxed. i now use vick's on my children. i'm sure this product will be around forever. it's the best.

Here is how it works in our household (and probably yours too). One daughter gets sick. Then the next one, then mom (dad never gets sick lucky dad). Mom is now sick and caring for two or more sick children. Everyone has chest or nose congestion, stuffy noses, runny noses and coughing going on. I know that when all this starts happening whether it's the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, I can grab the jar of Vicks VapoRub and rub it on chests (Mommy that tickles) and back and that within a few minutes all of us will be able to breathe, even those who didn't need any help!

What I like about Vicks VapoRub

inexpensive
tried and true remedy for most cold and flu symptoms
versatile (use in the shower, place some on your chest and back, also leave some on the vaporizer
the scent
it works!

What I don't like about Vicks VapoRub

the sticky feeling - after I apply it it sticks to your clothing yuck!

But this is the most important thing, it is tried and true....

Cold and Flu Season....Congestion.....Sickness.....Funny how those little words are such huge issues to deal with now a days. But, if you should have any of those problems, go spent less than five dollars and get the ability to breath back into your life. Vicks Meto Rub clears up your congestion in just a minute or two. Just a little rub on your chest, on your forhead, or under your nose, and the congestion is almost gone before you have a chance to rub it fully in. The smell, although some say it is strong, is actually known to be quite relaxing which if you are really sick, helps out more than you know. Have used Vicks for sooo many years it is almost impossible to believe. Mom and Dad used to rub my chest when I was sick and I still appreciate the warm feeling when I apply this to my body. The smell really relieves my symptoms and helps me to breathe better. For the price there is no better product on the market. I used this when my kids were little and I was amazed that it worked so well then. It still smells the same and had the same wonderful benefits that I remember. Just like old times and still works!

i love vicks vaporub it works wonders. its fast acting after you apply it you automatically can tell a differnce, it opens up your nasal congestion, chest congestion, no side effects, safe for everyone, helps coughing and aching, very great quality, and value. now it is very greasy but it is so worth feeling better. if you are still not sure this is for you make a pro and con list or look at mine and see if it would be right for you. it isnt costly its actually pretty cheap and worth it anyways. i myself cant afford to get sick and when i do i do use it to feel better fastier. for you single moms you know this is true. you can find this at almost any store even the dollar store carrys it so i mean there is no excuses really. i really cant say nothing more but for you to go get some and try it your self and you will know then that all that i said is true. this is really a wonderful product and worth every cent.

I have to say I do not like over the counter drugs unless it greatly needed. I do keep Vicks Vaprub in my cabinet, I believe that because of its simple ingredients it is the best cold remedy.

It does not cure you but sooths you and I believe that is what is needed when you need to keep going. I am a Mom of eight, and when I have multiple children come to me about sniffles's and coughing, I have to be-able to get them feeling better with Vicks vaporub and my tea remedy. Before I know it they are all resting and feeling better.

I know if vicks had a cough drop that had that same soothing affect as the rub it would be a great ideal. I know the only down thing about the rub is that you do need to stay covered up for it to work its best.

I can say that it lovely when you have a love one rub your chest and back down with the vaporub it is the most wonder-fullest feelings in the world. Then you get vaporized which is very relaxing.

I sometimes I wish it came in a bigger jar for my family size....
