I grew up on Nyquil. I have used it my entire life. I just turned 40. My husband swears by it. As soon as we fell cold symptoms coming on, we are all over it. We take nyquil and in days the symptoms are all gone. We use the product religiously. We barely have to go to the doctors. It does the job it intended to do. IF we catch the cold quick, Nyquil normally is all we need. I feel like it is safe if it used the way it is intended to be use. We have used it on our 14 year old daughter since she was young. The only thing about Nyquil I do nto like is the taste. No matter what flavor it is:)

Nyquil liquid cold and flu medicine is the best for me to take when I have a cold or runny nose, especially when I need a goods night sleep and have to wake up early in the morning. I can take it fifteen to thirty minutes before I plan to go to bed and by the time I hit the pillow I am out and sound asleep until the morning; and I feel a lot better considering when I went to sleep I had a runny nose or cold and when I wake up it's almost completely healed. I never get woken up before it's time for me to wake up when I take it.

I do, however, experience some weird vivid dreams when I take the Nyquil. I also will experience some morning drowsiness and be off balance for the first thirty minutes after I wake up. I do reccommend that if you are going to take some that you drink a glass of water with it and make sure your stomach is full. If not, when you wake up, you might feel a little motion sickness and have a drymouth.

My husbands strongly believes in the power of dayquil and nightquil. These are essential household items in my home. If he feels a slight cold symptom coming on he imeadiately turns to dayquil for day and niquil for night. He believes it will either prevent his cold of for sure shorten or weaken it. I recently got a cold and for the first time in years listened to my husband and used these drugs.

I had pre concieved ideas, I heard on the news that these products make us feel like they work but they don't. Maybe that's true. What else is true. I got relief. I got better night sleep than I usaully do and during the day I was able to perform like a healthy person.

I also feel like my cold didn't linger like it usually does. I believe these products helped me and I wish I would have followed my husbands advice years ago.

From now on, I will also hava supply of dayquil and nightquil in my home.

It never fails a few times a year i get a terrible cold that usually wipes me out. I keep Nyquil cold and sinus on hand all the time. The minute i feel a syptom coming on i take two Nyquil jell caps. It really helps you get to sleep and have a good nights rest. It works very well for stuffed nose and that aching all over feeling. Nyquil also has a daytime non-drowsy jell-cap that really helps during the day. I have found that taking it at the onset of syptoms helps to reduce the length and severity of a cold or sinus problem. Many drug stores offer their on brand that is usually about a dollar cheaper, but i have found that you get what you pay for and i had rather pay the little extra because i know Nyquil works and when it comes to your health the small price difference should not be an issue when it comes to your health. If you have trouble swallowing the jell caps, nyquil also makes a liquid form and is just as good. I prefure the Jell caps because i can have them...

I love Nyquil, and would never want to fight a cold without it. I use nyquil only at night, and take it about thirty minutes before going to bed. As i am getting ready for bed I can already feel the effects of it. I start to get very tired, and my sinuses start to open up. If you buy this product you must be sure you buy the product behind the pharmacy counter because the stuff on the shelf is the FAKE suff, with out the sudefed (SP?) anyway this product keeps me sleeping through the night, no coughing, no stuffed nose and no laying awake all night. When you have a cold the most important part of getting better is the ability to sleep, so that is why I take this product. One sign of caution is that I think, since I love it so much, that it could get addicting. You are able to sleep so well, I find it hard when my cold is not-so-bad, to stop using it at night, in fear I may not be able to sleep if i do not use it. So i try to lessen how much I use and then eventualy stop...

I have used Vicks Nyquil Multi Symptom Cold & Flu Relief for several years. I used Nyquil every time I was sick with a cold, especially if I had a cold with extreme congestion. Nyquil always helped me to sleep better and I always felt better and more rested the following morning. Nyquil is quite expensive and found that the store brands work just as good and usually buy them, unless Nyquil is on sale. I still use Nyquil (or the store brand equivalent), but only if I absolutely feel that I have to, because like most syrup based cough and cold medicines, Nyquil's main ingredient is high fructose corn syrup, which if you do some research, is not good for you if you are trying to maintain a healthy weight. However, sometimes this is worth the sacrifice, but if there is something else that you can use that doesn't contain the high fructose corn syrup that makes you feel better and relieves your cold and flu symptoms, I would definitely opt for that instead of the Nyquil or other products...

For a good night of sleep and to help your cold symptons use Nyquil-Night time formula.If you can get past the taste of this medication then this medication is very effective for cold like symptons and to get a good night of sleep. This medecine will help you get back on your feet and give you a good night of rest.This medicine does cause drowsyness so I suggest taking it only if you can lay down and get some rest.Do not take it before driving or operating machinery.There is a day time medecine that works as well but when I need a good night of sleep Nyquil-night time formula is the one that works the best for me.Exspecially if I am coughing it seems to stop me from coughing and knock me out.i must say don`t smell it and be aware of the taste.Keep in mind that there is a Nyquil -Night time capsule as well.The capsules are more expensive though.I have not tries it so I am not sure if it is as effective.

I really like this product. I typically buy the name brand product, but will sometimes get the store brand if it is on sale. The Nyquil brand is reliable. It definitly subsides the symptoms so that I can sleep comfortably. I don't generally wake up with drowsiness, but at times, if I don't get enough time to sleep, it will be difficult to get up in the mornings. I know that this product effects different people different ways, but for me, I need to take it around 7pm and plan on being in bed by 9:30 in order to get up the next morning. I do think the product is addictive though. If I take it for a couple nights in a row, I will have a hard time sleeping the first couple nights I am not taking it. I have found this with most sleep aids. I also think that just getting a good night sleep is addictive! We are all pretty sleep deprived and anything that makes that better can be addictive. I recently purchased the Sam's store brand and have found it to not work as fast, but it does help me sleep...

I have a terrible head cold. Last night I could barely even breath as my sinuses are both stuffed, and I have a runny nose. I knew I would have trouble sleeping last night so it was off to the cabinet to grab the Vick's Nyquil.

Vicks NyQuil has Acetaminophen for your aches and fever. Dextromethorphan for cough suppressing, and doxylamine for sneezing, and runny nose. Vicks NiQuil also contains 10% alcohol, which I am pretty sure is what help knock you out and get you to sleep. Each tablespoon of NyQuil also contains 17 mg of sodium so you need to keep that in mind as well if you have problems with sodium.

Vicks NyQuil comes in comes in a 6 fluid ounce bottle. It is all sealed up nice and tight with a safety covering, that covers the top of the bottle and the little measuring cup that sits on top of it. The measuring cup is for your convenience, so you don't have to get a spoon or try and measure it with something else. Adult should take 2 tablespoons every 6 hours. You should not exceed...

Vicks Nyquil Multi Symptom Cold and Flu Relief Original Flavor Liquid 10oz is a great product to use when you are all kinds of stuffed up, runny nosed, coughing, sneezing, headaching... and the list goes on. I found this product very useful especially treating flu-like symptoms. When I get sick I use this product to help me fall asleep.

Some draw backs include:

Oh yeah, touch my Nyquil and it's going to get ugly. Though I am not a big fan of the original flavor that tastes like black licorice, I would prefer the cherry (hard to find these days), but either or I get a good nights sleep after taking just a tablespoon and I am out for the night. I get my sleep and I don't have to worry about my cough, fever, stuffy nose, pains, waking me up. I can sleep like a baby and if I am sleeping good that means the hubby and the cat can sleep well.

Nyquil had to change the formula a few years ago, but I still get knocked out when I take it and still works like a charm. I am a little groggy in the AM, but that could also be from this darn cold.

Now if you will excuse me it's Nyquil time for Amy and to bed...Remember to get lots of rest and drink your fluids!

Nyquil also comes in gel cap form for the night time and day time formula...Please make sure you read which one you are taking. My old boss took the night time formula by mistake and then...

I have used Nyquil when I have a cold since the 70's. Nyquil always allows me to get a good night's sleep, and it quiets all the symptoms of a cold. The Nyquil gel caps do NOT work as well as the original liquid. The gel caps do nothing for me and don't take care of my symptoms or put me to sleep. I always have some on hand in the winter to take care of unexpected cold symptoms. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone....
