We all enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast today at my friend's house in Brookfield and afterward, as I was chatting with my hostess in her kitchen, I noticed a box of Viactive Calcium Chews sitting on a countertop. I had been curious about this product for a long time and as it just so happened, I had forgotten to take my morning dose of my usual CVS Pharmacy Calcium 600 + D Supplement so I waded right in and asked my friend for one of her Viactiv Calcium Chews.

I won't lie to you and say that these chews are as good as Fannie May caramels. They aren't but they are delicious just the same with no hint of an aftertaste or calamitous digestive side effect. I thought they were QUITE chewy and I suggest -- unless you really have 100% confidence in your teeth and fillings -- that you suck on a Viactive chew to soften it a little instead of chomping right down. Viactiv Calcium Chews come in an assortment of flavors including Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Mochaccino, Raspberry and Orange...

I LOVE Viactiv calcium chews! Since I was younger, I've absolutely hated taking any kind of vitamin. I thought that vitamins only came in pill form, and that they were disgusting. My mom was always trying to get me to take different kinds, but they ones she always got me were huge and smelled awful - they made me gag! Ever since I've stumbled upon Viactiv, it's like a gold mine! I am not a milk drinker, so it's really hard to get my daily recommended dose of calcium. I was always worried that my bones would turn out brittle and I would be feeble because of it! These chews are amazing. They taste just like chocolate, and I can't taste any kind of vitamin at all. I feel like I'm eating candy instead of taking my vitamins. I'm also looking into taking the multivitamin form as well, because I need help with getting my other daily recommended doses of other vitamins. I would definitely recommend Viactiv to anyone who asked me about them, because they're great!

As a Registered Dietitan working with young children and teens, i find that a lot of them are not getting enough calcium. Many don't like the taste of milk so they don't drink it, which is unfortunate since that is a great way to get calcium in the diet. Luckily there is another way to get calcium in the diet - Viactiv Chews. These are great because it is an easy way for a person to get calcium in the diet plus they taste good tood. The teenagers i work with love them - it's almost like a sweet treat (okay maybe not as good ...but still tastes good!).

However there are some things to keep in mind when taking a calcium supplement. Don't assume that if you take 2 at once you can get all your calcium needs in one shot ... the body can only absorb so much at one time. So only take one. I'd actually recommend taking one and then trying to at least get some of your calcium from foods (much cheaper that way since these can be expensive!). Also, don't take any calcium supplement...

I was shocked to learn a few years ago that I had osteoporsis - I associated this with "old women" and I was not one of them. But, the dexascan did not lie and I did indeed have bone loss at a young age. Unsure of why but determined to stop the progress I did my research and followed my doctors advice. I increased my weight bearing exercise, increased my dietary calcium and added a calcium suppliment to my diet. After trying a few and not finding one that was I could tolerate I heard of Vivactiv soft chews. I love them. They come in a variety of flavors, all of which are great. Because they taste good i don't mind taking them. In fact, I consider them a treat that I get to eat twice a day! In fact I have a couple containers in my home so I can switch around flavors. I don't know about the rest of you...But I for one do not like the taste of most pills.... as my kids would say.."yukkkkkkkkk!!!" Viactiv Calcium Soft Chews do not have that bitter taste of pills and caplets.. they come in caramel or chocolate flavored soft chews... yummy.. a delicious treat..makes one feel as if they are sneaking a piece of candy rather than a vitamin! Hmmmmm...Let me think now... candy?? vitamin?? pill?? Sure! a vitamin candy!The calcium soft chews by Viactiv are also available with vitamin K! I started taking these vitamins about a year ago under the advice of my doctor.. they are convenient, available in 60 and 90 packs, tasty, and priced fairly . They are available in generic form as well... can be found in most vitamin aisles!

I love taking my Viactin Calicum chewable vitamins. I used to take normal vitamins but years ago had the gastric lapband and started taking chewable vitamins. When I could go back to normal pills I didn't want to. I love the taste of them. Whenever I need a choclate fix I take my vitamin. My way of staying clear of choclate that I don't need. Sometime durning the day I even have it, I usually take it at night but they are so good and watching my weight I no longer eat that junk food but if I am really craving it I will take it earlier in the day just so I can satisfy my craving...and it is my vitamin!!! Nothing better in life than that!!! I can find them right at Walmart which is so confivenent and they are not tooi expensive. There are generic brands also of the chewables but I do like the flavor of the viactin so will pay the extra little amout. It almost feels like I am being bad on my diet to take my vitamin but they are also like 5 calories whicj is fine. They also have a multi vitamin...

I have a real aversion to taking pills of any kind. The Viactiv Calcium Chews are wonderful! I personally like the Carmel flavored ones. Two chews a day gets 100% of the calcium you need. Since I am lactose intolerant, these calcium chews ensure that I get the amount of calcium I need to maintain strong bone health!...

These definitely taste like a bottle of 25 degree Celsius milk after it melts in your mouth and does leave a weird after taste, but the main concern was that one is able to get the Calcium one needs.

I know it sounds silly but I often am too tired or too lazy to take my vitamins. But, I never forget my calcium. I keep the chocolate Viactiv chews in a pretty dish in my bathroom and I love to take them three times a day.

They are a chocolate treat and I am taking care of my bones. It is just one thing that takes care of itself as opposed to those fish oil caplets that I remember about one a week.

You have a lot going on. Scratch one thing off your have to list by using Viativ and making it a want to.

What a great product. I always had problems taking those big (HORSE PILLS), and I would get nauseated. This has been a miracle answer for me. The chocolate chews taste like candy. I would recommend this product strongly. The down side...limit yourself to 3 a day..it may taste like candy..but its not....

I think that these are a really great new way to get people to get thier daily value of calcium in thier diet. They are easily portable so you can always carry a handful in your purse or car to just pop one when you think of it, no matter where you are. The flavors are hit or miss. I personally like the chocolate and carmel flavors. But it's a lot better then having to take a big bulky pill everyday....
