I really liked my LG voyager for the first few months that I had it. I love the full qwerty board for texting, I really like the touch screen, and I especially like that it has an alternate screen besides the touch screen. Despite the things I like, I am very much looking forward to getting a different phone once my contract is up. One reason for this is that the phone randomly turns off, a lot of the time while I am in the middle of a text message. They told me this can happen if you have too many pictures on your phone, but I didn't see that as a good reason. The microphone and earpiece occasionally stop working. Sometimes at the same time, sometimes at different times. It will then randomly start working again. There was an entire two weeks that my phone did not work. Not the microphone or earpiece. It is not the most reliable phone. Overall, it would be a great phone if they could just work out some of the kinks.
...

djankiew says "Heavy and bulky but I love it for texting" about Verizon - LG VX10000 Voyager Cell Phone

I use the Verizon - LG VX10000 Voyager Cell Phone daily. I like this phone because of the querty keyboard and since I have big fingers (which I hate) I am able to text without fat fingering it (unlike the LG Dare).

The touchscreen can be adjusted to suit your touch and the what's cool is the having the ability to have to display screens, one on the front and one inside.

The sound quality of the phone is decent, I do get some complaints but I don't know if it's the phone or the service.

The phone is heavy and bulky - there is no getting around that. But I really can't complain about the phone because it meets all of my needs. What I love the most out of it is VZ Navigator and the Mobile Email.

I travel for work and purchased an attachment/holder for my car to use my cellphone as a navigator. The phone syncs up with my bluetooth headpiece so I can listen to music and still hear the directions.

The mobile email came in handy when I was looking for a job and didn't always have...
...

I was very excited to purchase this phone. For the most part, I am pleased with it. I do get frustrated that it stays on the LOCKED position and relocks itself almost immediately after unlocking. The "scrolling" feature is another frustrating feature, difficult to control the scroll!

I do like the look of the phone, I get lots of compliments. This phone is full of all kind of features. I started out using the internet, GPS, TV, well, all of them. I've dropped the internet cause I had a hard time navigating it. The GPS is great! Gets me to whereever it is I need to be. The TV is cool... when ur sitting still. Has a decent camera. The best feature... the key board, makes texting a breeze.

Would I recommend this phone, yes, for the younger generation.
...

pointlessly says "LG Voyager: One Expensive Piece of Junk" about Verizon - LG VX10000 Voyager Cell Phone

Okay I got this phone thinking it would be a pretty cool thing. And it was for about a month. But I've found this to be one of the cheapest (and I don't mean inexpensive) pieces of technical junk I've ever owned.

For example, when you're driving you expect to be able to use your bluetooth device for hands-free mobile phone operation. Right? But you can't with this, when you plug in the car charger, the blue tooth is shut off!

Simultaneously, voice recognition features are activated. This even happens at home.

And don't get me started on the charging plug, it's so poorly designed that over time the connection loosens between plug and phone so that on a bumpy road you head it connect and disconnect repeatedly, making mobile charging all but futile unless you've got a free hand to hold the phone to prevent its jostling. Ooops, that violates the "hands free" law!

It wasn't much past the 6 month point before the silver plastic paint started to scrape off.

Then there's the text messaging...
...

The Voyager is great and worth the price! The external screen is touch and the inside has a full keyboard for quick texting. It gives you the ability to download music, and the sound quality is very good! Not only does it have the ability to play music, but it has a lot of features included too! Although the Voyager is pretty big, I find that it fits well into pockets. I love the different features the Voyager has. However, it sometimes shuts itself off, but that could be the Verizon network. Also, the Internet works very well too! I'm not quite sure how much it costs to use it, but if you're on-the-go, it's great!
...

The outside touch screen is easy to use and so is the keyboard on the inside. Answering and accessing the phone, texting, settings and tools, and media is all very simple to use on the touch screen. The phone as a whole is very customizable and runs how you want it. Overall, it's amazing....

The Verizon LG Voyager is an awesome phone! I got it back in June of 2008 and I'm impressed with what it has to offer. Switching to a new phone is a big step, especially with Verizon, you sign on for two years. I was looking for something a step up in technology from the Razr, and this was even more than that! The Voyager touch screen is awesome! The qwerty keyboard on the inside is really neat too. The numbers are separated from the letters, which is a cool feature that not all keyboards have in cell phones. I'm also happy with the internet/data capabilities of the phone. I recommend the Voyager to anyone that wants texting, internet, camera, and phone- all tied in one!...

I recently upgraded form my ancient Razr V3m to the Voyager and am quite pleased! I text a lot (50-100 messages per day) and so I was looking for a phone with a large screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. The touchscreen interface was just a cool bonus! Ironically, I find myself using the virtual T9 keypad much more than the "real" keyboard for most of my texting.

Since I purchased this phone as an upgrade, and after it has been on the market for a year, I got a GREAT deal. In fact, when all the discounts and instant rebates were done, I got the phone for FREE. That said, I would have gladly paid between $100-150 for the features that this phone provides.

What I like:

- Touchscreen. Maybe this is a novelty, but after using the phone for almost 2 months, it's still fun!
- Large screens. Both the external and internal screens are big and crisp.
- Real QWERTY keyboard. Although I only use it when the T9 feature won't recognize a word.
- Haptic feedback. The screen vibrates as you......

I currently own a LG Voyager from Verizon, and I must say, I am extremely satisfied. I enjoy every aspect of this phone, from the full keyboard to the large display screen. One drawback of the phone is scrolling through your address book, I choose to use it because it is not easy. Overall, this phone is the best phone I have ever owned!...

I was really dazzled by the LG Voyager in the store, and watching a friend who had one, but when I needed a new cell phone I chickened out and opted for a more inexpensive phone. I immediately regretted it. I was unhappy with the plan that came with it and overall it didn't feel right. So I returned the phone the next day and went for the Voyager. It immediately felt comfortable (albeit pretty big) and I no longer felt a longing for my old, twitchy Chocolate.

Now I was already an LG devotee, super happy with my version 1.0 LG Chocolate despite the touch screen giving me trouble near the end (but it lasted the full two years, like most cell phones are designed to). I was wary about taking on touch capabilities again, but things like the vibrating feedback when you touch the screen and the fact that it was actually controlled by touch (rather than heat like the Chocolate) convinced me that this was different.

I'm the kind of person that needs some feedback when I press buttons, and the interior......
