FiOS is blazingly fast and very reliable. I run a home office with three heavy users. Altogether, I have seven computer with four wired and three wirelessly connected to the router provided by Verizon.We also have two VoIP telephone lines on the Vonage service. FiOS handles everything with ease.

The service has been very reliable. It has been down only a few short times in the four years I've had the service. Unfortunately, calling customer service is slow and painful. If you don't have a Verizon phone number the automated system forces you to put your number in several times and go through multiple steps before it dumps you to an operator that makes you repeat everything all over again. It takes at least 15 minutes to get to technical support.

A year ago Verizon changed the terms of service so they could drop access to most Usenet feeds. This makes it very difficult to access many support services like all the Microsoft technical forums.

I couldnt wait to get FIOS once I got my computer. The router is great as is technical support. They messed up a setting for my email and it was difficult getting it changed. compared to the other internet servers for high speed around I could not beat
FIOS for its price. If you are a gamer you can subscribe to various services ranging from 4.99 to 12.99 for a wide variety of games that is indeed worth it. As for their STARZ play for 5.99 a month if you have a home computer this service is unneeded. It you are frequently travelling you may like this service as you can view any movie currently on the STARZ channel. My biggest complaint is there security suite. Ranging in price from 5.99 to 29.99 a month it is pricier than going and buying even the best rated virus protection at Walmart. I downloaed the 5.99 one and it froze my computer. as long as I didnt need to go on the internet everything was great. But I could not log into my Email, play my online games, or even pay bills. Verizon Fios was great at first. Very fast. But Verizon keeps changing their speed, so if you don't know that, then your speed ends up slow. Then you either need to increase your speed for a price or try to refresh what you have. I do like the wireless part of it, but verizon webpage usually comes up slow or they are always working on it. So, it is better than DSL or Dial up and if you bundle your services you get a discount.

This is a review for Verizon Fios high speed internet. The biggest positive thing to say is easily the speed. I have been able to download very large files in the blink of an eye. I have rarely (if ever) noticed any kind of service interruption, so it is about as reliable as you could want. However, the price still leaves something to be desired. Like many families, we are now looking at ways to trim the budget a bit, and by far, our FIOS bill stands out as the largest bill every month. Comparitively speaking, I'm really not sure it's completely unreasonable, but Verizon definitely knows they have a hot product and they are pushing to get as much money for it as possible. A quick word about the installation experience - absolutely horrible. Be sure you talk DIRECTLY to Verizon for the installation date, and not to an authorized vendor. In short, TWICE they simply did not show up for the installation, saying they did not have it on their schedule properly or something. ...

I am really enjoying such fast internet service. The installation included a wireless router that I can easily configure for my laptop. I think they should have included free antivirus software, like Comcast does, but everything is great. Downloads are super fast and I never lose a signal. Highly recommended.

I've had my share of internet service providers from dial-up services back in the day to cable modems and finally now, via Verizon's FIOS internet service. This service allows you to connect directly to Verizon's fiber-optic network to get some incredibly fast and reliable internet service.

The installation was simple enough, a Verizon tech took a few hours installing the connection between our house and the fiber-optic network. Once that was done, we had internet service. It's quick, it's fast and it's reliable. In the 3+ years that I've had the internet service, not once has it gone out, which is a lot more than I can say about the Comcast cable internet service I used to have before that.

Billing is simple. They have three different speeds available and each are billed at different amounts. I have the 2nd level speed since it came as part of a package, but I started with the slowest speed, which was still faster than Comcast. I'm not sure why you'd need the fastest speed,...

We've had Fios Internet for a while now and the service in pretty good. Speeds a good and there is little to no down time. We also have ours set up as a wireless network and it works pretty well.

The problems came when a Verizon rep knocked on the door to see if we wanted to bundle our services. So we agreed that bundling TV and Internet would save a few dollars a month, we would keep our internet the same and the TV would be comprable to our existing service. In addition we were offered the rebate for bundling services.

Service was installed and we proceeded to contact customer service to get the rebate. No joy, firstly they said we didn't have any service with them! unusual since they are our current internet provider.....to cut a long and frustrating story short, they eventually found our customer records, did in fact agreed that they provided our service and then said we were not entitled to the rebate because our services were not bundled!!!

Verizon Fios, how do I love thee??? Let me count the ways... My husband is an IT guru, so of course he jumped on the Fios wagon the moment it was available in our area. Quite honestly, I don't know how we functioned before the is service. (Yes I do... at snail speed) I am in love with this whole Fios package! This is the best service we have had to date, and trust me, we have tried them all. The upload and download speeds are lightning fast. Our family is scattered around the nation so we often post photo albums, that used to take at least 5 minutes to upload. Now, within 30 seconds my pictures are online and I am ready to go! Our service is never down. Verizon is an amazing company to work with. We even got a check in the mail to reimburse part of our cancellation fees with other companies when we signed up for the "trio" package. For a fee significantly lower than our former cable bill we now have premium HDTV, Internet, and telephone services, all thanks to Verizon Fios! This is a great...

I think this service is good as it bundles the internet phone and tv for you, but if you have an issue, it is a pain in the butt. the refer a friend is a joke - as i had two referrals and yet to be paid, but they claim they were declined. The overall picture quality of tv is good, and internet speed is ok - downloading/uploading is much faster than our old one. this is a decent service but i have had issues with customer service, wait times, etc....

We recently switched over to Verizon Fios internet after years of DSL. I really didn't think it could be better so I just kind of let it be. Then I stopped at my neighbors and I was sold! We've had Verizon Fios Internet and Television service for a little over a year. The picture on our TV has never been more clear and the internet is super fast! We always completely pleased until we had a problem. Our power went out one day a few months back and when it came back up our tv and internet would not work. We called Verizon and it took us 45 minutes and 7 different people (some of which were incredible rude!) on their "help line" before someone knew some type of information to help us. And even then, it didn't work. So she was nice enough to schedule us an appoitment for one of their techs to come by and fix it. Only problem is, the earliest date they had was a week and a half away. So I was fuming that it took forever to talk to people who would help, and then actually didn't do anything. Then we had to wait a week and a half for someone to come here, flick a few buttons and fix the problem within 2 minutes.

i am actually writing about verizon wireless phones the LG versions as you get closer and closer to your contract ending they purposely start dropping your calls to make you think that something is wrong with your phone, but in reality they do that to make you but a new phone, but i am not buying a new hone because i didn't buy the phone that i have but i just think that's a bad way to make a person buy a phone!!

Works ok sometimes, but internet goes out often and have to wait for a few minutes to connect online again. Techs say there is no problem, which does not explain why service goes in and out. But overall if you do not go online a whole lot, it works fine....

Had FIOS for well over a year, both internet and TV. When I went to bundle in February, that's where all the major problems have come into play. When I rec'd my bill, it didn't show the bundled services, but actually increased almost $60.00. I went back and forth and was told had to click on a certain link for the bundle (never informed of this when I first ordered it). Of course, the link didn't work, so then I spent two days on the phone going back and forth with billing and tech services to try and starighten it out. Now my 2nd billing has come around and they have charged me over again, giving me the price of the bundling of when they were able to straighten it out, not when it as originally ordered, and an additional partial bundle charge (????)- I had already paid for it. So, we shall see if someone who may know what they're doing will assist.

I signed up for FIOS after three salespersons had called at my door. I have noticed that the lag time in loading pages is not what they are raving about. I had to contact customer service and have three reps return to my home in the first week due to installation errors and having no service. I more often than not see slow loading pages. ane that is my biggest disappointment with the service, second only to not speaking to someone in the US after hours....
