Universtity of North Texas is a wonderful school. It's a beautiful campus, and the students are very serious about their education for the most part. Honestly, I thought about transferring because of the horrible football team, but my parents talked me out of it, which I'm thankful for. The teachers care about the students, and the people are very friendly. The school's location also adds to the University's appeal tremendously, it's a great little town in Texas, and very home feely, which is great for college students first living away from home. It's also only about 35 miles outside of Dallas, so there's a lot to do in the area. Just to add on to my comment about the horrible football team... University of North Texas also has the BEST tailgating around! Most people just hang out and tailgate instead of attending the actual game, but it's well worth it, because it's an awesome experience!
...

The University of North Texas was and is an awesome school! I graduated with a Child Development degree from UNT in 2007. This school is full of fun, including sports activities, sororities and fraternities, has plenty of great food near by and a great place to make new friends! Even if you are not involved in any organised activities, there are plenty of ways to meet new people and make friends! The university offers hundreds of different degrees ranging from Art to Education to Sciences. It is also a well recognised school in the state and country (even though our teams aren't that great!). It provides you with a great education and even helps you find a job through their career center if you have trouble whne you graduate! If you are looking for a fun and exciting school in a constatly growing small twon, the University of North Texas is the place to be! It is also located rather close to Dallas, so job opportunities after graduation aer a great opportunity too! GO EAGLES!
...

After recently moving here from Chicago, and attending private school from Pre-school to Sophomore year of college in Illinois, I was nervous about University of North Texas. A much larger campus than i was used to, a bit less personal, but UNT has a lot to offer students from different backgrounds, personalities, and fields. I am currently a Public Relations major in the Journalism department, a senior, and I couldn't be happier with my experience at UNT. I lived at College Inn, which in particular I wouldn't recommend, but the on-campus activities and student organizations made it easy to forget I was on a large campus.

The teachers I have come across have been more than helpful, and as a recently announced "School of Journalism," the credentials of UNT have been overlooked by many, quickly chalked up as a "local" school.

University of North Texas has been a fulfilling experience, living both on and off campus, freshmen through senior classes and activities are abundant. I would...
...

The University of North Texas is a very good university for the tuition you are paying. Many people love it until they go visit another campus such as University of Texas or Texas A&M but they don't realize the large difference the tuition is and frankly I don't think it's worth paying tens of thousands of dollars more to go to better parties!...

filter4runner says "i love this school becuase it offers all great college things" about University of North Texas

i love this school because it truly is an amazing all around college. it has everything from a strong Greek community to a prestigious college of art, the school offers so many different activities all thru out the year and there is plenty opportunities to be involved and to meet people with you interest, there is also a ton of clubs that are all very active. the teachers rock and most of them love their jobs and its obvious. campus living is OK, i personally like the close by apartments and taking advantage of the bus route because your paying for it anyways, and the parking stickers are expensive with tight parking. the campus is amazing with huge trees and classic buildings. everything you could want is with in a 15 min radius and Dallas and fort worth are just an hour one direction or another. and the night life is there and has a strong following no matter what your into. just all around is a cozy college town, not too big, but not too small, with all the needs to get the most out......
