University of California, Davis has an excellent natural environment for students to learn and explore their interests. The enormous amount of bike riders motivates students to stay in shape and have a healthy diet while promoting a cleaner and a non-polluted environment. UC Davis, the school of the aggies also provides gyms and fitness facilities for students to relieve their stress. One of the many gyms is the ARC (activities and recreation center) where it offers weight lifting, rock climbing, and free physical activity classes. Also this school is a campus where recycling is highly popular. Mini Recycling bins are placed in each of the rooms in the residence halls. Overall University of California of Davis is a beautiful campus that lets students enjoy their college life while having a healthy diet and promoting a clean and non-polluted environment. I highly recommend students and parents to visit UC Davis.
...

hmcraver says "best college town" about University of California-Davis

The University of California in Davis is a great school. If you want to go to a great school where people are there to learn then it is perfect for you. The science departments tend to be all asian, which makes the town and students mainly asian. There is also a great Greek Life. This may be because of the fact that around davis there is not too much to do. Tahoe is close by, about 2-3 hours away. This is great for the weekend snow trip. There are also a outlit malls near by. The town is small but cute and safe, while the school is educationaly great.
...

cathypunster says "UC Davis is great, both professors and people here are awesome" about University of California-Davis

UC Davis is fantastic for many reasons, including the many different options for students, the quality professors and teaching assistants, and the different activities available to students. First and foremost, the quality of academics is very good. I have had many great professors here, along with wonderful teaching assistants who make sure you understand the material and go out of their way to help you. Also, the social scene here is decent for those looking for morefrom their college experience, with many fraternities and sororities, parties, and events sceduled by the university, but it is just the right amount. Plus, Davis is very clean and environmentally friendly, which is a big plus.

My problems with Davis include its large price. $20,000+ for a public school is definitely pricey. Also, Davis obviously has not invested so much in its team sports, the football team is quite unimpressive. Plus, Davis is a small town, and not much is going on all the time, so for some people it can......

terry95823 says "Home of the Aggies!!" about University of California-Davis

UC Davis is located in Davis, California-- about 15 minutes away from Sacramento and 45 minutes from the Bay area. I attended UC Davis for the first two years of my academic career before relocating to Los Angeles, CA.

I was admitted as a biological sciences major, but after 3 quarters of calculus, bio and chemistry, I came to the realization that pre-med wasn't for me. Once relocating to Los Angeles I changed my major to business administration and finished with a masters of business finance. But, I will never forget my years at UCD.

UC Davis was a very warm community of students and faculty that made it very easy for me to become settled my freshmen year. I highly recommend UC Davis for students interested in the medical, veterinarian and agricultural fields. Its a grade A school with very friendly people in a small college town in close proximity to large cities-- which is great when you need a break from studying!!
...
