It really does not matter what benefits a credit card company offers you they are all out for one thing and that is to make money. What is bad is that they make their money at everyone else's expense. In today's market money is tight every where. Credit card company's go after the people that are unable to make ends meet. If you are late on a payment and some times people are not late but the credit card company says your payment was late and you don't have a leg to stand on, so they double your interest and skyrocket your payment. As the fees increase with things as late payment fees, over the limit fees and doubling of your interest rate and your monthly payment it is crazy and ridiculous how the credit card companies get by with it. If you can't buy it without using a credit card do you really need it. Think twice before using a credit card.

I've been a member of USAA for many years, and their credit card service is stellar.
The interest rate is always fair, given that I have good credit the company rewards me as such.

Most important, the company is honest and does not play the "change the payment due date" game that companies such as Citibank have attempted with me in the recent past.

In this day and age of unscrupulous downright evil financial institutions bringing our economy to its knee's, I am glad to be a customer of one of the few decent financial institutions out there, USAA....

I absolutely love my USAA Platinum rewards mastercard. My husband and I had changed our bank (credit cards included) about 3 times in about 4 years because we just didn't like the previous ones. Once we decided to start banking with USAA (we already had insurance with them) we have not changed since and I have not intention of leaving. The thing I love the most is the checking account but that is another review. This credit card is great. Our rate is less than 7% here when it was more than 4% higher at other "military friendly" banks. We never pay any sort of fees and the rewards program helps us save even more. You have the option to get cash back or you can choose a giftcard, plane tickets, merchandise, etc. We decided to cash out getting travel vouchers because we got more bang for our buck than getting the cash and we had to buy the plane tickets anyway. The customer service is top of the line. We have never had a problem with them at all and it is always very speedy. ......
