I applied for the USAA master card and got appoved all within a few minutes. You can apply online. I had a USAA master card a few years ago and decided I missed it. I got 3.9 APR and no annual fee. My credit limit is more than I expected too. I keep this card in my wallet now and use it as my primary card.

USAA has been there to help me with any problem I have had. No fees, no surprises, even cash advances are free if you send them to your USAA bank account (and no super high interest rate on them either). It's easy to set up my card to go overseas and maintain top notch fraud protection. Nicest customer service people ever.

My only complaint was that my variable interest rate was apparently hovering too low and they smacked a minimum on it where it was at the time. Not that I ever pay interest, but it was the potential that annoyed me.

I don't bank anywhere else.

While I agree, as do several investment ratings as well, USAA has MAJOR creditworthiness qualifications. We've had (and love) their insurances for over a decade...but despite this, they wouldn't give me a card for a pint of my blood! Good Luck if you're under 730 beacon...

Although I'm not a big fan of credit cards in general, USAA offers a great deal. They pay cash back rewards which has been a real help at times when we've been short on a payment. They also just lowered our interest rate yesterday after we asked them to. It wasn't that bad in the first place, but they dropped it by two points to 8.9 percent. We use a lot of the USAA services including banking, insurance and loans and I have to say they are a great business for being so big. I can get a live person quickly on the phone just by saying the word "representative" to the voice activated answering service. They are extremely helpful and really have helped us out a huge amount....

This card is great. The rewards are actually useful and have reasonable levels. I have never made a late payment, so I cannot comment on the consequences of that. They've raised my limit so high I will likely never go over it, as well. My APR is VERY low, about half of my other credit cards. I love this card and use it the most of all my cards, except when I travel to developing countries where MasterCard is not accepted....

I have had this card for about a year now, if I have any problems I can just call the phone number on it. I always get to talk to a person and they are always very nice and patient. I think this is a very good card and have not had any real problems with it. This card is perfect for what I need, it has been great. I have not had any problems with it at all....

Whoever said the cash back is only available come January is mistaken. Whenever I feel like it, I check my balance. If it's what I consider high enough, I apply it to my credit card balance. Just the way I like to do it.

I get everything (and have since 1975) through USAA. I know I pay a bit more for some things but, to me, it's worth every penny. The customer service is awesome. A bike rider (on a two-lane highway!), turned in front of my mom, who had slowed below the limit and moved over a lane to be careful of this guy. His only 'injury' was a small burn on his ankle from the exhaust pipe. My mom, meanwhile, had to be taken to the hospital for neck and back injuries and she was traumatized for years. This guy hired the shadiest lawyer in town to try to milk USAA, figuring they were so big they'd just pay. Well, a lawyer from USAA heard the whole story (there were lots of witnesses to back up Mom's story) and came down to our small town and not only did they not win, but they had to pay...

I currenty use their online checking, savings, credit monitoring (through experian), usaa master card, auto insurance, renters insurance, as soon as i am qualified i will be refinancing my car through them, and i hope to finance a home through them. i particularly like the fact that i can access everything i have with them through their easy to navigate website. i know this review is for the card, but i recommend just using them for everything, probably dont have the best deals for every service you need, but the service and how convenient the website is, is alot better in the long run...

USAA is a great company. We have been members for 20 years. They have a large range of products from insurance, banking and investments. As a member we are also able to get discounts on certain things. The rewards program for the credit card is the best. First, the card has no annual fee and second the rewards are very flexible. There are no black out dates on flights etc. They also have a cash back bonus option.

Not meant to be a full-blown review. USAA deserves the accolades it gets. It has been such a pleasure using their Credit Card and dealing with their great customer service, especially after Bank One (now Chase) kept de-activating my fully-paid Visa "for security reasons," **without ever bothering to tell me they had done so** (I always learned the hard -- and often embarrasing -- way).

Anyway, last night I was more than a bit surprised to discover that USAA, without any advance warning, had reduced its telephone Credit Card CS hours from 24/7, to 8pm close M-F, 4pm close Sat, and no hours Sun. What a huge cut! How can a CC -- especially a major one -- have such short telephone CS hours?? There have been more than a few times I've had to call them outside these hours about, say, problem getting an online purchase through, and each time they solved the problem for me. Now I could have to wait quite awhile to resolve. This is a BIG demerit (the FIRST, and so far ONLY significant,...

I have several credit cards and the one with the least amount of hassle is the USAA mastercard. They keep the APR at the lowest rate available, and they automatically lower it when they can. They are also very willing to work with their customers and you can easily get in touch with them for answers to your questions without being put on hold for a while. I highly recommend this card!...

I have had the USAA card for years and for years before that the USAA company carried my Auto insurance. I'm not sure how separate the USAA savings bank is from the insurance aspect of their company but it all works seamlessly. I now have a loan, auto insurance, renters insurance, and my credit card through USAA. I am planning on switching to their free Banking (checking account) in the near future. This company is customer friendly. If you have an issue, they are open to discuss it and really will help. I had some fees due to something that I had misunderstood, and had not noticed (due to me not looking closely at my bills for a few months....my fault) and they reversed 3 months of fees just to show good faith that I had just misunderstood something. Wow. They have periodically lowered my interest without me even needing to request it. Their online service is top notch, user friendly with no hidden fees. They even have a bit of a (unofficial) grace period...if you are......

I just recently got this card. I was having an issue with authorizations going through. I called USAA and received the most awesome service. They corrected the problem and told me how to provide feedback so others won't run into the same problem!
