This was, without a doubt one of the few games I have ever looked forward to. I have been dissapointed before so I kept my expectations realistic. My best line to sum this review up is what another reviewer said "You want to love this game, but you can't."

Really you do. The environment, immersion (when it doesn't switch abruptly),the art direction,the duality, the mission(S) are all beautiful and some things are an experience to have (not to mention a very cool concept). What ultimately matters is gameplay, and beautiful it definitely isn't. I wont go over the story elements as most have gone through them and , by now you would have read many in depth reviews. So I will speak specifically.

The combat system, tricky as it may be is a bit clunky for a game that is repetitive. But it works and rewards you with cool animated kill moves. Let's get one thing straight of the bat. A sandbox game a la GTA this isn't. It badly wants to be one but Ubisoft made an okay game when they could have blown...

This game is outstanding. the story line is one of the best story lines to be in a game. It is worth every penny

Assassin's Creed is one of the greatest games I have ever played for the Xbox 360, and I have played a lot of them. The storyline, combined with the easy-to-use game controls and mechanics, makes for a great game to play. You take the role of an assassin who has lost his status, and must regain it by assassinating nine certain people. You have the choice of using a sword, throwing knives, your fists, and, my favorite, the assassin's dagger.

The game also has a few surprises, but I'm not going to spoil them for you. It is worth buying the game; it is so worth $59.99! I'm not kidding! You'll give it a five out of five rating when you play it too!

From the beginning of the game, it is a blast. The visuals are stunning. The main down side is it gets repetitive, but even with that, it is still a fun game to play....

While I enjoyed the game, I have to admit I was so dissapointed that I sold it immediately after I finished the game. Running around the various cities was fun but became repetitive as you did the same thing over and over again. Then the ending, it just ended. I know most games are made to have numerous sequels, but it just cut off and that was it. My suggestion is rent it....

This game had a pretty good storyline but was very repetitive in the side areas and challenges. The people that interacted was also very repetitive. Wait for this game and buy it on Ebay for half price. Not worth the 50 or 60 bucks.

The graphics are stunning. When you first look out over the cities that you are exploring it looks VERY realistic. However, the gameplay, after the first or second assassination, starts to get really repititive and uncreative. Despite this, if you hang in there you can beat the game in 6-7 hours. The difficulty is not too hard, and there is hardly any replay value, seeing as there is only single player....

This game starts and blows you away with graphics, an original storyline and game play. The graphics are simply the best graphics ever and you realize this the first time you reach a view point and jump off. The game play and controls are original and nice controls are easy but you get better as you play and figure out different ways to do things. Then I have to say that the game gets monotonous. You continue to do the same things over and over like the creators ran out of ideas to keep the game building to the end. Overall I still believe its a must have game but dont be suprised after the 3rd or 4th or 5th or 6th assassination....

This game is probably one of the best rpg's ever made...

I'm not just saying that either. The story line about how you can go into your ancestors memories digitally was kind of cool. And then you mix that with a12th century assassin.

really cool. Best game of the year cool.

but unfortunately the end of the game comes very abruptly. and your left craving more.

Ok, the first thing that I love about this game is the ability to run around for as long as I want and enjoy the view. I love that I can hook my zune up to my 360 and play it while I play this game too. Nothing like assassinating to Maria...The second thing that I love about this game is the graphics. They are just plain amazing....

This is a fun game with a twist that is somewhat unexpected. The gameplay takes a little bit of getting used to but once mastered flows and is fun to play. The graphics of the game are amazing and all of the cut scence take place within the in game engine....

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS GAME IS RATED "M" for MATURE- due to killing, etc, ! That means 17+, so PLEASE do not buy this for someone younger unless you play with them- know what they are playing and involved in!

Do you like video games that are a sandbox - where you can wander aimlessly for hours checking out all the nooks and crannies of a location without a REQUIRED mission or choose to do mission after mission? Where you can experience the subtle rush of planning the mission of where to go, the thrill of how to get there, and the adrenaline dump of how to get away?

The game is set mostly in 12th Century Holy Lands: Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre. You play an assassin named Altair and keep in mind each city has a different flow and feel to it. You can look every where, listen in to conversations, strike up conversations, climb buildings, and run over rooftops, bump into people and either push them away or bounce off them depending on size and mass issues and FIGHT! ... and you'll...
