Islander says "Steamy and Underrated Romance" about Two Moon Junction

Soft-core erotic and haunting.

April (Sherilyn Fenn) is to marry a man her snobby parents like but then falls in love with a blue-collar stud named Perry (Richard Tyson). April must reconcile the expectations of her family and her fiancee with the passion she feels for Perry. Typical of the Southern Belle attracted to the carny from the other side of the tracks. This film has some of the steamiest scenes ever. I saw it first on Showtime and promptly added it to my collection.

Milla Jovovich plays Samantha, April's little sister. Also featured: Kristy McNichol, Burl Ives, Louise Fletcher, Martin Hewett and Don Galloway.

I was surprised this film never really took off as a mainstream romance as there is tons of emotion and dilemma of a coming of age socialite in a hopeless relationship.
...

sebaldus says "Southern Libido at Its Finest!" about Two Moon Junction

I first saw this film on cable and liked it so much I purchased the DVD. The soft core erotica element attracted me. Also as a Southerner, and a woman, the interaction between the women of the different generations of a single family was interesting, Alhough I am a woman who does not like many chick flicks, I liked single Southern culture, wealth, etc. contrasted with the seedier side of life--carnies, people who work hard for a living to make life comfortable for others (e.g., the men installing the tents for the wedding of the wealthy female lead). In the end, these two worlds collide and the female lead must choose between lusting for a carnie and loving/marrying a wealthier man. Or does she?
...

PattyTherre says "An erotic and campy movie that never fails to keep me watching." about Two Moon Junction

Quick View: I guess you could say I am a fan of chick flicks. I like offbeat, not too mainstream movies a lot and this one is a romantic, erotic, sexy, suspenseful chick flick although Sherilyn Fenn is nude in it a lot so maybe it isn't JUST a chick flick after all.
About Two Moon Junction

This movie was released in 1998 and the DVD came out in 2000. It runs 106 minutes. The director is Zalman King who also directed Wild Orchid and produced Nine 1/2 Weeks among many other similar movies.

The main stars are Richard Tyson (Perry) as the bad boy carny and Sherilyn Fenn (April) as the good southern girl torn between what her family wants her to do and her passion for Perry. There are a host of well known actors like Louise Fletcher, Kristy McNichol, Burl Ives and even the late Hervé Villechaiz. However, the two main stars make the movie and it all centers around conflict.

The Plot

April is a sweet, rich southern girl about to be married to an equally sweet southern boy. When the carnival comes...
...
