I subscribe to Travelzoo "deals" for about 2 years and never was able to get one single deal out of it.

Why does it NOT work? First it advertises the deals, covering everything from quick vacations, tickets, auto rentals through hotels and air fares. The idea is really good, however when you click to go to the deal, start the questions... Where are you flying out from... where you are going to... dates of travel (in which the site never mention the dates OF THE DISCOUNT... so after answering and trying to guess 100 time when is the deal good to and which dates you could maybe get the deal... you will find out that it is all a scam. There is no deal! And you have wasted your time trying to book a deal that doesn't exist.

I am writing this review to warn other users, to see if we can change this service. I really would like this site to post the dates of said deals, the time you were supposed to fly in order to obtain the deal, how many discounted seats are offered. And I really wish...

Just today a news flash came in re some rock bottom air fares from DFW. I spent a lot of time looking for them and just never saw the "$45 one way DFW to NYC". Don't know why they keept this up. I followed the tips on the web page. I'll still look there but I have lost faith.

I've been a TravelZoo subscriber pretty much since the site came online. I like it because it's clean, simple, and not overburdened by too much junk. Most of the deals really are genuine deals --- not just hype. The web site is clean and easy to use, and the deal news is usually timely enough that if you act fast, you have a fair shot of actually getting in on the deals.

The downside is that, in order to keep things straightforward and simple, some decisions were made that make the site inflexible and hard to use if you travel anywhere that's not a "popular" destination. In the hotel area, it's easy to spot the deals for Florida, but if you'd really rather head to Arkansas, you'll have trouble finding what you want --- if it ever does appear.

The quality of the deals has also gone downhill quite a bit over the past year and a half. Today, there's far too much noise with fake deals from Orbitz or Travelocity, and fewer GENUINE deals offered directly by the hotels and airlines. The trend is......

Travelzoo is a great place to sign up for the "Top 20" best deals for travel. I have booked at least 2-3 trips I found on Travelzoo and I've been satisfied with each trip. The prices have been fantastic. Be sure to sign up for the "Top 20" alert. You need to be able to make a quick decision because many of the deals sell out quickly....

Great site that sends out weekly emails with the Top 20 deals they can find. I flew to Australia for $700 R/T and London for $400 R/T from LA last year when the next cheapest flights I could find were easily double that.

The only con to this site is that deals sell out quickly which is not the sites fault and is also not surprising considering some of the deals on offer.

Travelzoo is most likely the most advanced travel site on the web today. It covers everything from quick vacations, theater tickets, auto rentals through hotels, airlines and all other travel bargains worldwide.

The site is extremely well organized. Not only does it profile the "Top 20" bargains of the week. It divides other bargains among several categories, which include: Airlines, Car Rentals, Hotels, Package Deals and Vacation get-a-way.

Any traveler would be remiss in not at least surveying the site once they have determined where and when they want to take a trip, whether it be for one day or one month. Travelzoo seems to cover wherever you want to go, not only in the United States but abroad.

I have made at least a dozen travel arrangements in the last year. Many websites offer you bargains which you are locked into from the moment of booking. Travelzoo allows you to book directly with the provider and cancel pursuant to the provider's calendar NOT the booking agent....

I have found my last 2 vacations through the website as well as countless good deals on lodging and airfares. I love the weekly "top 20" email that helps you stay aware of good prices on typical vacations. This website is extremely easy to use and helps you find good deals by doing all the research for you. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a great vacation at a low price. ...

The Verdict - Travelzoo.com is a good basic site for finding hotels, airline tickets, rental cars, vacation packages, and cruises at the best prices.

Just The Facts - I've been using Travelzoo.com for a few years. My husband and I booked a cruise and needed airline tickets and a hotel room in the Boston area for 2 nights. And as cheap as possible. A friend of his told us about Travelzoo so we began to check out the deals there and found a terrific price on airline tickets and the hotel room.

Travelzoo has an email option that will shoot subscribers an email when hot deals from their area are found. It's called Newsflash. Travelzoo also sends something called the weekly Top 20 list every Wednesday. The Top 20 is a list of the top 20 best travel deals on the web for that week and they sell out quickly. I saved about $400 in airfare on a trip to Scotland not long ago. All the Top 20 are very good deals and range from a hotel in a city to airfare specials to a cruise package. Even if you can't take advantage of their weekly Top 20, it is always fun to read about the offers.
