My Toyota Yaris surprised me. It is very spacious even though it is a compact car. The best part is it's excellent fuel economy. I commute to work everyday and only fuel up once a week! The only thing is that is does not accelarate as fast as I am used to, but it's no big deal.
...

I love my Yaris! It has a cute body shape and is surprisingly roomy. I used it to move my stuff we I found a new apartment. I was able to move everything but the big furniture after 5 loads. we we need a car with space to transport stuff we always use my yaris vs. my nboyfriend chevy colbalt. This car is fantastic on gas too. And even though it's small I feel very safe and the model I have has curtain air bags. It's an all around great vehicle and I am extremely happy with it!
...

I recently accepted a job that meant a 65 mile commute one way. I looked into my options including vanpools and public transportation and many of these took more time out of my day and costs almost as much as getting a small car with great gas mileage. That is where the Toyota Yaris came in. My husband and I researched many different cars and walked around dealerships at night (to avoid those pesky salespeople) and one car stood out in terms of style and gas mileage. That was the Toyota Yaris. We opted for the four door since occasionally I would be picking up my children from school. The car is surprisingly very roomy inside, I get almost 40 miles to the gallon (which says a whole lot on California Freeways where we are either going 80 or 20 mph depending on the traffic) and I get the little additional perks like a port for my Ipod. On date night with some friends we took out a couple that we knew and ended up going in the Yaris. Both men are around 6 feet tall (Army guys!)...
...

My first experience with this charming car was as an airport rental. I was delighted that there was plenty of room for my large bags. You know how women travel right?

I quickly oriented myself to the operations of this car and zipped onto the interstate. The handling and power in this little vehicle are both great as I had no problems with acceleration and passing, even in somewhat mountainous areas.

I did have to get used to the center mounted display of guages.

What this car is not:

It is not an RV, it is not a chick magnet, and it is not going to be seen in the next super car movie.

What this car is:

This car is charming and attractive, gets great gas mileage, and handles nicely as well as on the highway.

Smile and wave next time you see me zipping around in the little blue Yaris!

...

This car is great. The fuel mileage is unbelievable and it is just cute as a button. As small as it may seem on the outside, it is actually very roomy on the inside. I do have to say though, it is not the most comfortable car out there. I'm willing to give up the comfort for all the other great features that this car has.
...

DrivnFrmWithin says "Yaris is bloated, overpriced and ugly. Get a Honda Fit instead. " about Toyota Yaris - 2008

The Toyota Yaris has a hideous interior and it's pretty ugly on the outside too. Toyota has these packages you have to choose where your paying for stuff you might not want! There are options A-F and the closer you get to F the more they cost. For example to get ABS you have to go with option C $1,990 and you also get floor mats, daytime running lights and rear wiper. All this stuff just because you wanted ABS? It's murder! A honda fit comes in two varieties, regular and sport. No packages to rip you off with. Oh yeah, ABS is standard on even the cheapest Fit.

I know what everone is saying, the car is fun to drive, great on gas etc. but so is the Honda Fit, what the honda fit has over the Yaris is a beautiful interior, sharp exterior design, no overprised packages full of stuff you don't want and it even ends up being less expenside and more feature rich when fully loaded. It has 4 doors and more room for your stuff and ABS, which is a vital safety braking technology, is standard on every......

The gas mileage is to great!! Bought the Yaris in May to replace my Jimmy and so far its the best decision Ive made this year. I drive 64 miles a day to and from work and although the Jimmy got ok gas mileage the price for a fill-up was killing my bank account!! I get an average of 41 mpg interstate and 38 mpg hwy with the Yaris!!

I got the 4 door sedan model automatic with none of the bells and whistles (i.e. power door-locks, power windows, key-less entry) for under $13,000. I am mainly using this car for work and chauffeuring the kids (and friends) to various school sports and social fuctions. This is a very roomy car for its size. I have a son over 6ft and he has no problem sitting in the backseat.. the seats are more then comfortable and love the shoulder/lap beats for all 3 of the back seats. Standard radio/cd player, and a/c was a plus also.

personally I think this is a great car for a commuter such as myself and my daughter (who is off to college next year) you get alot...
...

The Toyota Yaris liftback is a great little car. It is bigger than a Mini Cooper and has more storage room. It gets real good gas mileage without paying the extra bucks for a hybrid car (29 city, 35 freeway). The Yaris is very reasonably priced. In fact, it is one of the lowest priced cars on the market and it is a Toyota.

My daughter loves her car...it is cute and zips around nicely. Plus, it's a Toyota. How could you go wrong?!
...

My husband drives the Yaris mostly, but we love it. It drives well and he gets nearly 40 mpg if he drives near to the speed limit. If he is driving like a racecar driver, flooring it, cutting in and out of traffic...he gets about 35-38 mpg.

It is an awesome car. We got the basic model, two door. The interior is great...no complaints on that.

I love the fact that the backseat has a shoulder belt in all three spots! We have three small kids so this is awesome.

We had a Ford Taurus and now we are spending 50% less per month on gas. This amounts to nearly $150 a month in savings!

My husband works 45 miles from home...and you can't beat this car!

I honestly believe that our country is slowly switching to smaller cars, cars with less mpg....be it a hybrid, electric or just a small car.

...
