The Sienna remains one of the best minivans available, thanks to stylish look, spacious, comfortable interior, smooth and soft ride and Toyota's reputation for reliability. We have the eight-passenger model which is great for all four of our children. Inside, the Sienna offers plenty of space combined with versatility and comfort. There is so much space for all the kids to have elbow room- they are not smooched all together like in our other vans. In our eight-passenger model, we have three separate second-row seats combining a bench; the middle seat can be moved very close to the front seats, perfect for our 7 month old infant! The third row seats fold right into the cargo area for perfect easy storage/cargo space to haul larger loads. For this year sienna it scored 5/5 stars for both the driver and front passenger in crash testing as well as 5/5 stars for side impact, making this a great ride that has a great high safety rating!
...

I love my van! I bought it brand new in 2004. At the time, it was the only van whose middle seat windows went down. Not sure if that is still the case. Also, it was the van whose back seat could fold down 60/40. That works for me well because I have 3 kids. I need one of those seats in the back. Now I can fold down half of it, load in something big, but still have enough seats for my kids. There are TONS of cupholders. It drives well too.
...

I used to have a Ford Windstar. This just blows it out of the water. I thought about getting an SUV, but I'm glad I didn't. I don't want to give up the comfort of the van and it gets much better gas mileage.
...

My husband and I purchased this vehicle about two months ago.We just LOVE it!We have never owned a foreign vehicle before but after having a terrible experience with a chevy astro van and before that a ford econoline van I wanted to try something new.I have to be honest my husband was not crazy about buying a foreign vehicle but after we test drove it we knew we loved it.This van is so great. We have six children and the eight of us fit very comfortably.I love all of the cubbies and cup holders. The third seat stows away into the floor. It is great if you need to pack up the van.My husband and I love the way it drives too.It feels like you are driving a luxury car.It is just wonderful on fuel economy as well.I am so happy with this vehicle.I would highly reccomend this vehicle to anyone!...

kelterhan says "Great Vehicle would buy again" about Toyota Sienna - 2004

When it came time to purchase a new vehicle as the family vehicle (4 children), we started out thinking a Suburban was the way to go. We had a Dodge Grand Caravan and thought the SUV was ideal. We rented the SUV and thought it was too big, difficult to maneveur in tighter spaces, and dangerous for kids (I had to catch my 3 year old who almost fell head first trying to get out of the vehicle).

We checked out the Sienna, Town & Country, Venture, and Oddesey. The Sienna was more expensive than most of the others, but the ride was extremely smooth, handling was great, and the interior amenites were what you always wanted. The seats were comfortable and the rear flip down seats are the best feature in mini vans. There is plenty of room for people of all size.

After owning the vehicle for nearly 4 years, we have had no issues with the vehicle. I wish it got better gas mileage, but it is about 18 mpg in town and 24 mpg on the hwy.

...

When I was younger (pre-children) I said I would never be an M & M - a Mom in a Mini-van. I had to drive bright red sportscars or Jeeps. Well, now I have 2 kids and live in the suburbs. When it was time for a new car, I actually looked at mini-vans. I was about to sign the papers for a Ford, when we went to lunch and saw a Toyota Sienna.

The quality difference was amazing. The basic shape is much better than the boxy Ford, and it drove much smoother. We looked up Consumer Reports, and the Sienna was a hands-down favorite.

Now, I am so glad I have that van. I regularly drive up to 7 kids with coolers, sports equipment, coats, etc. and everyone is comfortable. You would think driving all that mass would be expensive, but the gas mileage is much better than anything else I used to drive.

The only problem we have had is the hubcaps. They are just thin, cheap plastic covers that clip in. One bad pothole and they fly off. They also always look dirty. I hope they put better...
...

KarenMarie says "For a van, it is easy to drive." about Toyota Sienna - 2004

After 2 kids, my husband and I decided to get a van. I did not want a van, but we needed it. This van has been great. it is easy to drive and very dependable. I will never buy a Ford product again. The quality has been excellent during these past 3 years. I love the automatic sliding doors too.

The only downside that I have come across is the DVD player. The driver must feed the DVD into the player mounted in back row. Therefore, when I am driving down the interstate and I need to put in another movie, I have to stop the car and feed it into the DVD player and then view the main screen (in backseat) and then hit play. You can not play a movie while in the driver seat. Very frustrating.
...
