I have a beige 1998 Toyota Camry stick shift. I bought it used, only having two thousand dollars to spend. When I got it, it had 231000 miles. Wow. I was worried it would just break down and stop working any time. Now it has 239000 miles on it. The only repair I've made that I can probably blame its age on is the wheel bearing being loose. Which that always sucks by the way. I waited like 8 months after hearing about it from my mechanic to take care of it and nothing bad happened. It'll put you out at least 2-3 hundred dollars though.

Everything in my Camry still works, including the heater and air conditioning. I got a good cassette adapter for it to hook up iPods, CD players, etc. I am pretty suprised at how well the bass performs with the stock speakers of the vehicle.

I depend on this car for transportation all the time, and it has done well for me. It was a good buy, in my opinion. Maybe its the best I could have gotten with two...
...

I have a 1998 Toyota Camry with almost 200,000 miles on it. I drive this car 75 miles a day and just do regular 3,000 mile oil changes and keep the air filter clean. It runs like a top and still gets as good of gas mileage as the new ones.

This is my third Toyota and I will never own another manufacturer's vehicle. They are just awesome road warriors!
...

I love my car thus the reason I continue to drive it instead of trading up. Great gas mileage but the cost of ownership is very low. I've personally driven this car for 9 years and I've never had any trouble out of it. Routine oil changes and one timing belt change is the only maintenance performed on this car. When I do get ready to trade up I'm 99% sure it will just be a newer Camry....

This car is really simple. It doesn't have any cool features but its simple. If you ask me cars that have cool suspensions, built in GPS's etc. are a waste of money. This car is cheap and perfect. Althought it has a low milage of only 25mph per gallon it doesn't stop our family from selling it. We bought it in 1998 and by the car is still in good condition. We did have some minor repairs. You may say that our car is old. That is true. But all these years we kept it and it is still in Mint condition.

If a car is still in good condition and the owner has been using it every single day for 11 years don't you think its a good. By now every one is using the new Hybrid and some type of Sports car but I use a 1998 Toyata Camry. No one would buy this car for even 5000 dollars now but some people still use it . If you ask me this people should get cars like the Honda Fit if they want a car that has lots of feature. I would not sell my car for 10,000 bucks. We're going to see how much time this...
...

Nothing that stands out, but it provides excellent gas mileage. Lacking in the power dept. but it is a 4-cylinder and built for a quality daily driver. Its is possibly part of the best generation of camry's but all they are are good daily drivers. ...

This car is a WINNER. I only wish the USA made it! ;)...

This car is horrible. I would compare it to a turtle on 0-60. If i wanted to pass someone on the highway I would have to hold the pedal down for atleast 3-4 seconds before i got any engine response. This car is absolutely ugly as well. Its just a box. The dash is cluttered on the clock on the dash doesnt even work. There are only two good things about this car and thats its trunk space and its gas mileage. This car will literally go forever on a tank of gas( possibly due to its lack of engine response??)....

This is such a reliable car. I have had to had parts replaced, but that is simply because it has about 100,000 miles on it and as a teenage driver, I enjoy accelerating at a rate that probably is not ideal for the car. The Camry is a wonderful all-around vehicle that gets awesome gas mileage and was affordable even on my college-student budget....

I bought my camry about 6 years ago as a used vehicle with 30,000 miles and now it has over 100,000. It has taken me reliably on many road trips up and down the East Coast. It has good gas mileage and few repairs. I feel it was a great value for the price to pay and I hope to drive for a few more years....

I need a car that is dependable and safe. I can't afford to buys cars often so my car had better be able to take the Chicago winters. This Camry has done rmarkable well with repair other than routine maintenance.

The comfort is wonderful. I appreciate the seats supporting my back....I drove 1500 miles with very little discomfort. The back seat is truly a back seat, and can hold adult passengers very nicely. The trunk is very deep and I consider it my "hidden truck bed." The handling is tight especially driving the expressways and the stop and go traffic.

The Camry does need routine maintenance which can be a little more expensive than the average car...BUT this car does not need repairs and is very reliable. My Camry is 9 years old and I have done the brakes and changed the tires and battery. I have done the regular mantenance work, and I expect to get at least 150,000 miles on this car...others have reported 200,000 + miles.

All in all, I am not a car expert. Just a car user. This car...
...
