Before delivering my baby, I bought this model of the Total Gym Fitness Quest 1700 at Dick's Sporting Goods while it was on sale. After I was cleared to exercise, I began to use the gym and love it. It saves me the expense and hassle of gym membership, as well as the gas expense going to and fro. I am able to pull it out, set it up in the kitchen, and get a good flexibility and strength workout while the baby naps. I can understand why Chuck Norris got turned on to this product while recovering from an injury. I find this to be a gentle but effective way of regaining my pre-pregnancy fitness.

Benefits of the Total Gym include its quiet operation, its wide variety of exercises, and its Pilates capabilities. With one or two practice runs, attachments are very easy to apply and remove. There are a few drawbacks to the Total Gym 1700; it doesn't slide easily under the bed, and is quite heavy at about 70 pounds. We keep ours neatly against a wall in the kitchen for ease of movement. It also...
...

metalmav says "Hate to exercise, but love this machine" about Total Gym Fitness Quest 1700 Club

I should start off by saying that I am definitely not an exercise freak or very athletic at all. I exercise because I want to stay in shape, but I certainly don't enjoy it. With that being said, I love the Total Gym. Out of every piece of equipment that I've bought over the years (and there has been a lot!) this is the only thing I've kept and still use. I have an older model, so I can't really say anything about the specifics of the current models, but this really is the easiest, quickest workout I've ever done, and it actually works. It pretty much works your entire body and even though it doesn't give the same cardio as something like a treadmill, it can get your heartrate going. I highly recommend it....

Vaselv4evr says "Works well, small, a little unstable" about Total Gym Fitness Quest 1700 Club

This is a great machine. I like that you don't have to plug it in and you're using your own body weight. I definitly feel the burn after just a few minutes at even a low level grade. The only problem is that it is a little unstable. If you're alright light-weight, you shouldn't have a problem. But, I am over-weight and I sometimes feel like the bench is buckling beneath me. A little scary! Despite this, I would recomend the machine because it accomplishes your final goal and is easy to use while watching TV....

I HAVE HAD IT FOR A MONTH AND IT REALLY WORKS. YOU DO HAVE TO DEDICATE 10 MINUTES A DAY OR A HALF HOUR 3 TIMES A WEEK YOU CAN LIFT IT HIGHER TO GET ALOT MORE RESISTANCE.
