This unit is bulky and extremely hard for me to manuever. It takes up a lot of room and just wasn't for me. I got more of an exercise moving it into place.

I do nor personally own a Bow Flex but my mother does and I use every other day. Since exercising on this, I have noticed a tonong up of my flabby areas which were made worse by a #84 pound weight loss. My Mom also uses it and so far by diet and exercise had been able to stave off Doabetes for a while. Too much weight has a direct correlation to excess weight.

The Bow flex was a bit expensive but now that I use it, I feel it was well worth the money. I reccomend it.

my husband gets on his bowflex gym machine every other day seems to like it is supposed to get me started on it also we signed up for a gym years ago but never went to much of my suprise he uses the bowflex more than i thought enough to want to get me started on it

The Total Gym is a very cool idea. The resistance training that it offers is both strengthening and safe. Basically you lift your own body weight by sitting on the sliding bench and pulling the bands. It's amazing how many exercises you can do with this thing-- there are a stack of "exercise cards" that come in the box. Each card has explicit instructions of how to do each exercise and what parts of the body it should effect. The Total Gym can also be used by mostly anyone because it can be adjusted from easy to hard. I should say though, even the "easy" setting is pretty hard for the average Joe. The downside to The Total Gym is obviously the price as well as the fact that it is SO heavy and awkward to move. Even adjusting the machine for different exercises is somewhat awkward. Overall, unless you are super dedicated to it, The Total Gym will sit in your garage and gather dust....

My step mom introduced me to the Total Gym. She pulled it out of a very small closet and single handedly set it up in her living room. From there she proceeded to show me how to adjust the parts and the weights for each exercise. Total Gym comes with a book that gives you hundreds of exercises that cover every muscle group of your body. I was amazed! The workout I got from Total Gym was complete and efficient. It was like having the whole gym in her small living room. After our workout, she whisked the Total Gym back into the closet you would never know that the living room had been, for awhile. her super Total Gym!

Overall, I think the Bowflex works well. Although this can be a rather pricey investment, if anyone wants an efficient workout at home, this is as good as it gets without having to deal with free weights. The unit is semi portable and sturdy and allows you to work every area of your body....

I don,t have enough of words for this equipment!! It,s awesome ! And it Does Work, when doing the exercise correctly. Also you don,t have to wait in line, for to use a certain equipment, like in a Gym..That,s why it,s Very Conveniant..to have a Boflex, at home.. And you can exercice when ever.....
