We bought the Toshiba Satellite PC Notebook for our daughter and right away there were disks stuck in the PC and it wouldn't charge the battery. Had to get a new charger and it still wouldnt hold a charge. I was told after the computer wont come on now at all due to charger or battery that they had a recall on batteries and chargers but as I thought not ours. We are very disappointed with this product. The wi fi worked most of the time.Never had any trouble with the video camera. The speed was slow at times but most of the time we were trying to get enough battery power to use it. I have never known a computer to be like this one. I had an open mind in the beging but I am not there anymore due to the serverity of the problems it keeps having. The money paid on somehting to a supposedly good company has made me second guess all reviews about good until I see for myself about any and all things.
...

I purchased my first Toshiba in 2001 and was thoroughly satisfied with the Toshiba Satellite Notebook. In 2007 I decided to invest in another laptop and of course picked the Toshiba over the many brands. If you like something you tend to buy it again. It had more bells and whistle and took no time to feel right at home operating it. Toshiba makes a product that is dependable, easy to operate and the quality is the best. If I had a questions their customer service was always there and eager to help. I was not familiar with Windows Vista, but was always able to solve with or without help. The screen quality, the great sound quality and I can't say enough about the Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527. No matter what the model you can go wrong with owning a Toshiba. You have multiple choices when it comes to picking a Toshiba laptop for your needs. I doubt if I ever own another brand. I have had several others and they did not hold up or deliver the quality that the Toshiba offers. ...
...

I love the toshiba laptops. I have Windows ops system installed and numerous software. I would recommending anytime getting additional RAM loaded...you will need it. The versatility of the screen makes it great. If you suffer from wrist problems due to mouse use, this will practicallhy eliminate them. Just so easy to use the touch pen. Just make sure you put it away each time and dont let the dogs accidentally chew it....

A135-S4827 Laptop has cost me hours of time, money and confidence in Toshiba. The vista home premium is such a lemon, they created a vista lemon soda. I had to scrap one printer that couldn't be made compatible; 2nd printer cost time & money to be made compatible $65.00; Camera upgrade cost about $70.00 to be made compatible; MLS Card reader $100.00;Additonal tech support $250-275, etc. An incredible number of hours (wasted time) trying to get Toshiba, Better Business Bureau, Microsoft and Best Buy to do something to correct problems to no avail. Finally, just before 1 yr. warranty ran out, toshiba customer relations person gave me an approved tech to send it to in northern Va. who had to replace mother board ('highly recommend him). However, it still freezes & has to be rebooted constantly; and, of course toshiba won't answer calls. Thank goodness, there are alternate software companies & some customer service oriented companies, I hope....

Although I am not a Computer geek, which are quite sexy(really), I am a gadget geek. But when it comes to computers, I really needed a quality, affordable, light computer to take with me to school. This is it. This the one. I bought this at Fry's for $899, it's a 2G expandable to 4G, it got a Core 2 Dual processor and it's great for school. Wi-fi is also in it. It's really light and feels like a true notebook.
...

The Toshiba Satellite series of notebooks are dependable and cheap, compared to your other choices out there. There is absolutely nothing special about Toshiba's laptops compared to a Mac or a Dell. I have found them to be slightly cheaper and just as dependable....

I recently replaced my old laptop with a toshiba. My old one was a Dell and worked very well. I started looking at different brands and after exploring and researching I settled on the Toshiba. The price was right, I liked its size and it looks great! It is easy to use and I have not had any trouble with it such as freezing up on me or not starting or shutting down wrong. The only problem I have withit is that it came with Windows Vista. I have had trouble with that because my PDA and scanner are not compatible with Vista. Other than that I have had no problems and would recommend the Toshiba to anyone who is looking for a new laptop....

Well i got this for a present for graduation, and was so excitted at first, but after starting it up it had 95 proccesses running!!!!. I had to spend 2 hours unistalling software i was never going to use. After that It runs ok, But still Vista a resource hog. Its running about 40 proccess now and still uses 70% of my memory. I would trade my computer for one with windows xp in a heart beat. In the 8 months of having the laptop, had to reinstall the operating system 3 times. I will never buy a product from toshiba ever again in my life.
...
