My Toshiba is a work horse. It continues to give me great performance no matter what I try to do. I have had this computer for over 2 years now. The sound quality is clear and the picture is bright and has great color on my 17 inch screen.I would recommend this computer to anyone who just wants to look on the internet to doing business from your office. Its portable and plugs in any where.

The Toshiba Laptop, Model 205, is a very desirable computer in many respects. However, I am am very fast typist and find the keyboard too sensitive. Many times it takes me to places and lines which are incorrect. Someone with lesser typing skills may not have this problem.

I have always had a dell computer or lap top this is my first toshiba and I love it . It is fast and such good pictures. Husband liked myine so well that he went out and got his self one so now i get to spend more and more time searching the internet...

I have been using this laptop for over a year. It is slightly heavier than some, but as stated above I believe it is worth its' weight in gold. Some may find the heaviness a bit bulky, however I have overlooked that because it has been a great asset to my schooling, as well as my personal and business use. Toshiba is a brand to be trusted. I have not had any issues with this laptop, no pre-installed hardware or software; therefore I cannot comment on the customer service.
The screen is large and easy to read. The keyboard is very accessible, not cramped for room. I do not miss using a mouse, as some do when using a laptop. The cursor area is adequately large and easy to use, is not overly sensitive as some I have used in the past.
Overall, for the quality and price of this unit I would recommend it....

I bought and used this computer for school and it has worked great! I have had no problems with it. I would recommend it to others! We are saving to buy another one for my husband. Originally we were planning on sharing but our school schedules are making it difficult and it is such a great laptop at such an affordable price that we are planning to purchase another one in the near future....

This computer can do AMAZING things and the software is fantastic too.

The downside - if it's not at a specific level, sometimes some of the characters while you're typing don't show up. ANNOYING.

so you really have to pay attention while typing to make sure all your letters are there.

it has a fingerprint reader which is cool but finicky - I don't use it.

the large scren ROCKS. and the picture is very clear.

it is a bit heavy, but not abnormally so.

LOVE the 10-key numberpad too!!

but it's a great computer otherwise! Very fast and helpful and well organized! Easy to use!

This is the perfect laptop for the college student. I am 42 year old, single mother of three and a first time college student. I am taking classes online and homeschooling my two youngest children. This laptop has been the best tool I have ever bought, I don't know how I got along before. This laptop have everything: DVD player/burner, CD player/burner, wireless internet so that I can get on just about anywhere. It has been a little difficult to learn how to use VISTA but I am learning....

I am very satisfied and happy with my laptop. It has just about every and any option I was looking for. I went shopping looking at a different brand/model but this easily won with quality and price. I would recommend this to any one!!...

I haven't had many problems so far. It's hard to tell whether it's the laptop or the Windows Vista that causes the occasional glitch but I haven't found a computer yet that doesn't need a restart every now and then.

It's a bit bigger than I planned to buy but I love the huge 17" True Bright Screen not to mention the 10-Key Number pad for faster data entry. I guess it's a give a take. The fingerprint reader is great for passwords like online banking.

It has a DVD writer as well as an HD-DVD Player but I haven't found an easy way to hook up the laptop to my TV yet. Looks like I'll need a new TV that has more inputs in the back.
