Great product that initially helped us to navigate England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Luxembourg, & France in our final months' vacation in a rental RV with the Tom-Tom in the deal before leaving England for the USA.

No glitches whatsoever, except when she (l call it a she because l use the English speaking lady with an English accent to guide us) tried to take a 11ft tall RV under a 10ft tall underpass in the center of Paris!

lf you have the correct address, it'll take you anywhere, & in France we were able to locate a campsite in the middle of nowhere, up a country lane, in the woods by a lake!

Over here we have used it to take us to local addresses in the City, or coastal locations on our RV trips through California, Oregon & Washington State. It took us through the nightmare of Portland City center with ease, & found us a fruit picking location we visited on an island off the Northern Oregon area within the Columbia River!

Up until about 4 to 5 years ago I was very good about finding places near and far using a map or my own sense of direction and then all of a sudden I don't know what happened but I became "geographically challenged" as I like to call myself :)

A friend of mine had one of these TomTom devices in his car and swore by it it I thought he paid to much and it was kind of silly back then .

Well about a year later I bought a mobile home in FL (I live in MA) and kept getting lost when I'd go down there.I decidedx to research this GPS thing again and found myself looking on one of the auction sites I have always liked UBID.com of course there are many and I don't endorse any I know many use e-bay,amazon,overstock,tigerdirect,goodegg there are so many so if you shop online you know your spots I shop them all and compare too :)

In any case I bought one online since we all know the savings is much better and in all honesty best thing I ever invested in ,no more pulling over to look at a map,if...
...

TomTom-GO 510 GPS is great. It's easy to understand and use. I would recommend all women puchasing it if you have trouble with driving directions. Directions and display are clear and understandable. Doesn't need a computer geek to program and explain it. It occasionally loses a turn if you're traveling on rural back roads but I have only had that happen once or twice in a year....

I love mine, would not leave with out it . every one needs to have one.The only thing I do not like is that it comes with only one dash mount , and I need to because I have to cars I use. I also leave it out in the cold and it dose not do ant dameges to it. I love how you can change the voice from a man's to a woman's. Some times I speed not paying attenion to what I was doing and because it sit's up higher on the dash I can see it better. I love how it show's you that you can take different ways, or if you miss you'r turn it all ways take you to the next place to turn.

...

My husband gave me the TomTom Go for a birthday gift this year. I am a Realtor in Wisconsin and many of the homes I have to show are out in the country and sometimes I ge lost and it really makes it hard to stay on schedual. The TomTom Go has really madea difference, it gets me to the property and even tells me when to turn around if I have gone past it. I am amazed everytime I use it, it gives me advance warning of an upcoming turn and I can see curves in the road right on the screen. Once in a while its wrong but still helps me get to the general area. TomTom Go has saved me time and money every time I go on showings. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner. Love it!
...

The Tom Tom sounded so strange to me when my two oldest children, (23,17)both requested these as Birthday Gifts this year. I purchased one for each of them and my oldest immediately downloaded Arnold's voice for his, I do admit it, that can be a bit creepy.

I am always getting lost, no matter how good the directions are, so I borrowed one of the Tom Tom's and off I went. I was so surprised at how easy it was to use!! It looked so complicated, but it was a breeze, unlike so many other high tech devices. It was such a stress reliever to just be instructed as to what do and where to turn etc. Before I knew it i was there and back with no problem at all.

Great Product would highly recommend. I am hoping to get one for my Birthday!
...

I have been able to find many places with my Tom Tom very easily. I like how it tells you where to go so you don't have to look at it. Many times however it is inaccurate and doesn't know where I am in my own town. It doesn't know where I live and I find this very frustrating. It makes me wonder if I can rely on it when I'm traveling....

I bought the Tom Tom Go 510 for several reasons- one of them being the bluetooth enabled speakerphone.

While I love the idea of the bluetooth, there were several challenges- when I tried to use the suction cup on my windshield, the GPS arm that was holding it to eye level let go, like it was too heavy and the GPS was constantly looking at my dash in my SUV- so I decided to use Velcro and mount the GPS to mt dashboard. This worked great- except for one major problem- the speaker is on the bottom and the person on the other end of the phone can no longer hear me, although I hear them fine. I have since given up on the phone.

Other major problem is that after 3 months- the whole thing just shuts itself off for no reason- i originally thought it had to do with the charger and bought a new one- but nope, thats not it. So now, my very expensive GPS sits in my glovebox, unused as I just get too frustrated trying to use it.

Bottom line- Save your money!!!
...

On a recent trip to LA, my sister let me use her TomTom GPS receiver while driving around the unfamiliar city.
It was a great experience and really made my entire trip much more relaxing. When I would type in my destination, the system would quickly guess where I wanted to go before I even finished writing, and could set up a route in moments. The search feature is also great when you are hungry and want a restaurant nearby, are a tourist and would like suggestions, or simply someone who can't remember the address of that event hall they're supposed to be at right now.
It gave very precise vocal instructions, even within feet of turns or other important points. Also the volume on the device can go up to an obscene maximum which could be good for those that like to play tunes while driving. Without reading any directions I understood how to use it well within 15 minutes and a less tech-savvy person would probably understand it perfectly in under 30.
The only......

This GPS is quite handy; it has been very accurate with directions for me. It finds satellites and builds directions quickly. Re-routes happen pretty quickly too. I like the integration with blue tooth phones that allows you to use the unit as a hands-free speakerphone. It can also control your iPod which is nifty. It is not as small as the TomTom ONE so I would say it is not as portable as the newer models, but if you can pick up one used and don't mind the size you will most likely have got a good bargain....

I bought my husband one when he started traveling to a lot of different locations. Didn't realize that it acts as a blue tooth speaker phone for our cell phones. Loved it so much that I asked for one for my birthday. Even though I don't go to a lot of different locations, it's so easy to use and so comforting to know that I can get directions easily if I get lost (or can use it for new locations while driving). Directions are generally quite accurate.
...
