The Tom Tom One LE Portable GPS Automobile Navigator has made my catch phrase obsolete. The family joke with my 3 boys was always "We are NOT lost, we are finding new places", because that is what I always said when we got lost. If I had not been to a destination before I always left 30 - 60 minutes early to ensure that we got there on time.

Now that I have Tom Tom, I always get where I am going. The best thing about it is that it tells me how long it will take so I can plan my time accordingly. My worst pet peeve is being late. With Tom Tom I am never late and I am never lost.

I also like that Tom Tom will give me directions to points of interest so I can eat somewhere besides the local fast food restaurant and I can find Walmart no matter what town I am in.

Overall, I am thrilled with Tom Tom and not finding new places unless I really want to.

So i bought my TomTom because I am terribly with directions and I can't read a map to save my life ( and at the time I got a good deal for $149). I really am happy with my purchase with only a few gripes. First the good things. I love how small and lightweight the unit is. Some of the older models were a bit bulky, but like most things, it's getting smaller over time. The directions are very easy to understand and I love how they give them to you with ample time to follow them ( example "turn left in two miles"). The battery life is pretty good when you run it without it being plugged into the cigarette adaptor. The screen is easy to see and the night colors help so it's not so bright in your face. My only two gripes are one: the touch screen keypad is very small. So when I am trying to type in addresses, I hit the wrong letters ( and I have small hands, so it's now me). The only other gripe, which is probably not specific to the TomTom, is that it sometimes get's me lost. It will tell...

Have enjoyedmy Tom Tom, the only problem that keeps occurring is that it takes a while for the gps to find a signal once the power turns on, other than that i love, pronounces the streets and also if you make a wrong turn it auto correct itself to get you on the right path.

This Tom Tom is great. I no longer have to worry about getting lost. I have to take me children to numerous games all over the state. No longer do i have to leave an hour before I have to in fear of getting lost. This device gives me the confidence that I need that I will arrive on time and not have to waste a tank of gas and an hour of time getting lost. I highly recommend this device. Everyone shoudl have one.

When I first got the Tom Tom I was a little disappointed, but the more I use it the more I like it. I like the search option to find restaurants or shops in an area, you don't have to know the area, it will find something for you.

I have had to travel long distances a lot lately and I wouldn't have been comfortable driving without my Tom Tom One. I used to just print off directions from mapquest. The bad thing about that is if you miss a turn, you have to figure out how to get back. The Tom Tom automatically re-routes your directions for you. It has so many great features. You can look up the nearest hotel or gas station or restaurant. It even shows the telephone numbers so you can call ahead. It gives you notice before your turn or next direction comes up so you have plenty of time to merge over. It speaks the directions out loud and you can even change the voice you want to hear. It tells you the speed limit and beeps and you if you exceed a few miles over that amount. It tells you how many miles you have left and what time you will reach your destination. The list goes on about all the features. The only negative thing I have to say about my Tom Tom One is sometimes it is off a couple hundred feet or...

My parent s bought me the TomTom LE portable GPS for Christmas this year because I travel a good bit,it really has helped me while traveling by showing me a shorter route to my destination which cuts down on my travel time and helps me to save on gas.Now I will always make sure and use it on any trip I take.Plus I love that it is portable so that way I can take it out of my truck so that it does not get stolen.I also like the fact that it will vocally tell me directions as I drive.

I love that if I'm ever in doubt I have the tom tom in my glove box. I've used it to go on road trips (to Canada) or to find the closest place to eat. It comes in handy wether its a short drive or a long one. The only thing that is hard is turning the volume up and down while your driving.

I bought the Tom Tom One for my daughter for christmas and we've used it to go to Texas and other places. It was easy to use. The only thing that bugged me was it always would route you to the freeways. Other then that it was great.

This is by far the best GPS unit I have ever used. It is very simple and easy to follow, not to complicated. I can mount it in one car and easily remove it to the other. I use it everyday for just about everywhere I go. Even when I have directions or am going somewhere I've been a million times, Its still good to know the best route to take at that time of day. This tom tom is perfect for long road trips, I haven't been lost since I got it. I can remeber how miserable I was having to stop in a foreign area at some small little service station to try and ask the women with no teeth which way to go; all she could do was mumble "map" and point to the rack of maps. I was really lost then, I didn't even know which map to buy. this is a perfect unit if you aren't all technically knowledgable, very easy to use and simple. at the same time it gets you to where you are going with all the perks of any other gps
