I purchased the Tom Tom 130S from Best Buy after doing a lot of research on the internet and asking my friends. There were two main reasons for picking this type GPS for me. I loved the size of the screen which is 3.5" and the fact you can update from your computer by using a USB cord. You can adjust the volume and select the voice you want to use - many are free and others can be purchased. You can participate in map corrections for others to benefit from by updating speed zones, construction, etc. It has text to speech, portable, hard drive storage, built in base maps, mapping software, color display, up to 3 hours battery life, DC adaptor, 3D map view, automatically re-routes you if you make a wrong/different turn, avoid highways/tolls, choice of route set-up, touch screen, safety menu, voice prompts, etc. You will feel very safe going to unfamiliar places. The best part is not having to try to read a print-out of a route like I did before buying the Tom Tom. I also purchased...
