sgrgrs1474 says "She is lost and out of touch beyond words" about The Rachel Maddow Show

The Rachel Maddow Show is basically the reason I can't watch MSNBC. Her opinons ar way off target. Even with the facts litterally right in front of her and undeniable, she will not admit to being wrong or she may need to do further research. She really has no clue as to the topics she reports on. But the worst part is she thinks she is funny and entertaining, but the reality is she arrogant, condecending, and talk down to her viewers. I have no problem with a liberal point of view, but in her it's her liberal point of view and nothing. She is the only person who could possibly be right or on target. And her political bashing without evidence all but mkes the show unwatchable.
...

twitterfree says "Intelligence and truth will bring down Pat, Sarah and C street!!" about The Rachel Maddow Show

Last night I wished Rachel had taken that proverbial preaching product of the 50's, Pat Bucanhan, down. She was too kind!! When you allow a racist like Pat to shower us with such negativity, such feverish backward thinking, it is quite an insult to such a fantastic product of affrimitive action as the prolific Judge Sotomayor. She may be a tad brazen for the good old boy network that seems to be brightening the C street doors these days. As a country we must stand for fairness alone with no special regards to race, religion or sexual preference. As a country we must have a second look at what Jeff Sharlet has generously exposed to the world. We do not need to judge "God's Choices" , no stoning...just de-throning!!! C street does sound like a political "brothel". Maybe we oughta pack to whole darn "Family" up and send them on a long hike in Argentina. My last thought Rachel...when Pat was taking about Judge Sotomayor's qualification for the Supreme Court you may have wanted to remind him...
...

ErGraham says "Journalism in the Hands of Angry Pundits" about The Rachel Maddow Show

You've seen it. You certainly can't ignore it. These days, it simply can't be missed, The overbearing, temper-losing pundit, striving for fame through constant ranting and raving. I wouldn't be surprised if there are regular EMS teams on set, just in case the talent keels over. No matter if they are a red-faced, bowtie wearing conservative or a jackass of a liberal, these people just want to be heard, even if it costs them their dignity. If they must take the fire and brimstone approach, then so be it! Where have all the serious, professional journalists gone? Where is the objectivity? Or, should I be asking myself, are these pundits our new-fangled journalists?

Rachel Maddow, of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show, isn't nearly as ferocious as some of her peers, but she does share one similar feature. She loves to argue with people. Not only that, but she does it with a slightly different twist on traditional American journalism. No objectivity. It's her view, and her view only, as long as...
...

twon says "Rachel Maddow: Fully Liberated" about The Rachel Maddow Show

Rachel Maddow: Fully Liberated

Conventional wisdom argues that Rachel Maddow should not be a cable news show host success. She is a gay woman. She's liberal and not a centrist. Her hair is not higher than her IQ. Her mentor, MSNB's Keith Olbermann, and PBS Bill Moyer's are just about the only other two news show host that lean as far left as she. Yet she has defied the odds.
An anchor as defined by the Museum of Broadcast Communications website acts as a mediator between what happens in the world to the rest of the world. Amidst a sea of pseudo-news and news parody programs, Maddow brings refreshing humor while maintaining professionalism to her reporting. She has reprised the role of a traditional anchor.
Maddow has made it clear that her agenda is liberal, and not to be tainted by any particular political party. In a Washington Post article she was quoted as saying, "I am a liberal. I'm not a partisan, not a Democratic Party hack. I'm not trying to advance anybody's agenda."
Maddow's...
...

chanayde says "smart, intelligent, witty....but needs to back off sarcasm a tad" about The Rachel Maddow Show

I used to LOVE Rachel as a guest on Keith...and was so excited when she got her own show ...I loved it for a while...but then realized it's all about the sarcasm....she just pushes it a little too far and I feel like we're missing out on some serious intelligent thought that she's capable of....she's obviously very intelligent and witty....but dripping sarcasm for the whole show is just a little much for me....I've switched to Anderson Cooper....Would love to come back to Rachel if she can find a balanced style...........

Finally, a Real life sarcastic, witty and smart Lefty... Everyone says that there is a so-called liberal media - but I do not buy it! If there was, there would be 50 more Leftists like Rachel - everybody else is a poser!

Somehow in a corporate environment that is dominated by 6 media companies that own 95 percent of the media, a fresh real voice broke through!

All Hail Rachel and hopefully we can find a few more like her!
...

Jo says "The Rachel Maddow Show: A refreshing face on MSNBC" about The Rachel Maddow Show

To the Point
Whenever we travel we try to find Air America on the radio. It is a progressive radio talk show. One of our favorite hosts is Rachel Maddow so we were delighted when she got her own show on MSNBC at 9:00p.m EST. every night. It is called The Rachel Maddow Show. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/

A Closer View

You probably will not like Rachel Maddow if you are voting for John McCain; however she is so charismatic, funny and smart that you might want to take a peek. Right now naturally much of her show is aimed at the political arena but at other time she looks at general stories and our culture.

Air America radio host Rachel Maddow is anchor of MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show' at 9 p.m. ET weekdays. Maddow and guests will take a smart look at politics, pop culture and the top stories of the day.

She has guests on and last night politely disagreed with her guest who also disagreed with her. You can see videos of some of the shows at the website above.

Rachel showed tapes of Palin...
...
