toady says "Watch the language House Bunny!!" about The House Bunny

I liked the movie but i am not a big fan of the language and there were some skimpy cloths Or lack of cloths. I liked the character and of course the idea of turning ugly ducklings into swans has been tried for many years. The funny characters made me forget that this story has been done thousands of times before. The lead character is sweet and like able. It does remind you to keep a positive attitude and that friendship is priceless. Go House Bunny. Not as funny as animal house but you might could say it's a girl version with a lot less partying and a lot simpler plot....

MichelleShops says "So nice.... that it's stupid." about The House Bunny

You'l hear me say this 100 times but I am a total girly girl. House Bunny, the movie, was beyond stupid. I was a sorority girl in college and I can't remember ever acting like the girls in the movie. The movie was so lame. I can watch Mean Girls over and over, or even the classic, Heathers.

This was such a stereotypical movie about stupid sexy blondes. Classless. What about dumb brunettes playing the role? There are tons of Playmates that are brunette. What about a red head? No, House Bunny is based on a dumb, but somewhat attractive, blonde girl who seeks out to be Miss November's Playmate. She ends up on the streets and then a House Mother to ZETA sorority. The plot goes on and on and on.... and on. Boring. There were some cute moments but they don't out weigh the dulls.

Overall... two thumbs down.

...

LauraBelle says "Cleaner Than It Seems" about The House Bunny

My 12 year old daughter really wanted to see The House Bunny, watching the previews, but being that it's about a girl that gets forced into retirement from Playboy, she was afraid it wouldn't be appropriate for her. I checked into it, and found it was rated PG-13 as it was supposed to have sex-related humor, partial nudity, and brief strong language. I decided because of the theme of Playboy, the sex-related humor could be too much for a 12 year old and didn't think she really needed to see any nudity either. Yet, leaving the theater I thought the shame of this was that this movie seems to be written for someone of my daughter's age and genre, and it really didn't have all the sex in it that it was promising.

Anna Faris stars as Shelley, a girl who grew up as an orphan and landed at the Playboy Mansion, still looking for a family and a house as a young woman. Despite the fact that she is now 27 and has spent all of her adult years living with Hef, she considers her life to be a fairy tale.......

jasyjen says "Cute movie, but nothing special." about The House Bunny

I LOVE Anna Faris! I think she is hilarious, and was excited to see that she was playing the lead role in a movie. So of course, I got my friends together and we did the girls night out thing. The movie was cute, and to my surprise had Rumor Willis and Catherine McFee (American Idol) in it! That was a nice surprise.

Anna Faris is an ex orphan that has only really fit in at the Playboy mansion as one of Heff's girls. When she's kicked out for being too old (27) she doesn't know what to do with her life, or where to go to fit in. She becomes the housemother to a not so popular sorority house. In order to help bring in more pledges, she turns all the dorky girls in the house into hotties. What I didn't like is that there was no adjustment time for these girls. One minutes they're total geeks and the next minute, they're instantly hot and know how to socialize, etc. And Anna Faris throws a hella wicked party, and the entire time I kept wondering, "Who's paying for this thing?" ...
...

GigiandAdonai says "The House Bunny got too much hype!" about The House Bunny

I saw the preview for The House Bunny when I went to see Mamma Mia. An older friend and I thought it would be nice to take her mother to see it for her birthday. Last night the three of us planned a girl's night out--dinner and a movie. The movie was simply overrated but it must be doing something right because it was #2 in the nation, second only to Tropic Thunder. I believe a lot of the credit would go to Anna Feris (Shelly)--who wouldn't want to see a movie about a ditzy blonde, beautiful lady. There was only 5 people in our theater (an older couple) but we were there at 4:20. I was wondering if the majority of the sales would be accounted for by the male population wanting to see a Playboy Bunny in action. I'm not stereotyping--I wanted to watch it because I was in a sorority in college and I thought the movie was going to be hilarious. It was very funny but I felt as if most of the funny moments were played during the previews. I did think the movie had a......
