They took over 3 months to pay it off. Note, they would not return my phone calls until I got the Georgia Insurance Commissioner involved.<br/>- They repeatedly lost my internal contents claims receipts, and required me to resend them at least three times. Often it would take them more than two months to pay contents claims off.<br/>- You can count on them to be very sarcastic and disrespectful when you start talking about rebuilding your home. I suggest tape recording your conversations, that changed their tone quickly.<br/>- They will argue over the rebuild cost of your home even when you have multiple estimates from reputable builders. (No accidents occured in &gt;3 years)<br/><br/>-multiple payments were mailed on time, but were received 'late' by Hartford. I don't like fees, so I pay my bills as soon as I receive them. Payments were sent 10 days before the due date. Good luck arguing with Hartford.<br/><br/> -Hartford also altered the payment structure for the policy without notice -- from payments due 10 out of 12 months to 4 out of 12 months.
