Every actor in the movie did an excelant job, inclding the bad guys. Tom Hanks is wonderful as usual. The other jail officers were fantastic and John was absolutely believable and touched my heart. The fact taht he was too tired to go on brought tears to my eyes. Certainly not a happy movie, even the ending is sad. But I have watched itmany times and will continue t see it in the future.</p>... Thu, 24 Sep 2009 17:47:05 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Green-Mile-review-1d01 lorihall2861 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Green-Mile-review-9704 <p>The Green Mile was one of my all time favorite book series.  When I read these books they were put out monthly and I couldn't wait for the next one to come out so I can spend my evening reading it.  I am an avid reader and this was one of the fastest read series I ever encountered.  I couldn't put it back down once I picked it up.  Amazingly enough, the movie was portrayed as close to the books as I have ever seen.  The actors chosen for the different characters in the books were perfect.  Tom Hanks is an amazing actor and just made the movie as entertaining for adults as well as the younger generation.  I have never seen a movie that was so closely portrayed to what I had previously read in a book before.  Not only is the movie awesome but there are laughs, tears, astonishment and amazement throughout the movie.  This is one of those movies that once you've seen it you will never forget it but that doesn't stop you from watching it over and over again.  This is an absolute must...</p>... I could watch this movie a thousand times over.  Tom hanks played a great roll in this movie and so did the man that played john coffee.  I have seen this man in a few films since the making of the green mile and he doesn't seem like the same man.  When in the en john turned out to be innocent it was heartbreaking to know that stuff like this happens in real life all the time.  They just assumed that because john was there that he killed those little girls when that wasn't the case at all.  It was the guy that was working for the parents of the little girls.  This was a great movie and my whole family likes it and watches it on a regular basis. we have watched it so much we have had to buy it 3 times.  Thats when you know it is a great move when you watch it so much that it wares out the CD.   I would recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. It was fabulous.</p>... Even though you he's a convicted felon you can't help it, he's just adorable. Mr. Jingles is funny.
