The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling

Make bath time a special occasion that your baby will grow to love by providing him or her with a safe, comfortable environment in which to relax and enjoy being pampered by mom and dad. To help ensure a positive bath experience, the Sure Comfort Deluxe boasts a deep ergonomic design that holds baby better during bath time and fits both single and double sinks.

The mildew-resistant pads result in a cleaner, more hygienic bathtub, and a special drain plug changes color to alert parents when the water is too hot for baby's tender skin. Finally, a mesh sling with padded headrest provides extra comfort and support to cradle even the littlest ones.

Adjustable Design That Grows With Your Child
The Sure Comfort Deluxe works well for newborn babies to toddlers. First, its truly adjustable design grows with your child, so you can invest in this single unit and use it up until your child is ready to transition to a regular bathtub....
...

lynnepowell says "So nice I bought it twice!" about The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling

I had bought a First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling for my son when he was an infant, used it until he grew out of it, passed it to a friend, and three years later bought one for my daughter. As a "first bath" tub, it works great in the sink, and the sling dips just enough with the baby in it to get them gently wet. Both of my kids, though, seemed to like it the best when using the incline side. The small bump at the butt helps keep them from sliding, as does the foam bottom.

The only problem I have had with both kids is that they got too long for the tub before they were sitting up. My daughter kicks her legs against the end of the tub and she is only 4 months old. So I do wish it were a bit longer.

I do think it is a bit pricey for what you get, but then again I bought it twice and there isn't in my mind a better one for infants. But I was not really able to use it long enough to really get my money's worth.
...

After using the Summer Infant Baby Bather for we had to move up in size when our baby got to six months and was too big for the first one. We were gifted one of these Sure Comfort Deluxe tubs, which can be used for both newborns and toddlers. Our daughter took to the new tub right away, and with the added freedom and space of this new tub also came the fun she now has with bath time. It isn't so much a chore anymore as a time to bond between us and the baby, and this is a great tool to have on hand during that process.

This is another very affordable bathtub to have around the house, but it isn't quite as baby safe as the Summer Infant Bather. The reason for that, is that when you move to a real tub such as this one, your baby is already more energetic and mobile, making bath time a process where the parent has to be even more vigilant about what the baby is doing. As long as you place the baby in the tub correctly, they are going to be perfectly safe, just make sure to always...
...

I wish my son would like this tub as much as I did when I got it. He is a big baby, and he doesn't really like the sling. I researched several different tubs and decided on this one because it was at a good price and can be used as an infant tub and a toddler tub, but so far the sling isn't winning him over. I don't think he likes "dangling" above the tub, and the little sling gets cold. That being said, this could just be our little guy not liking bath time (although now we just hold him, and he seems to enjoy this). The good things about the tub is that it fits easily into the (real) tub, and I like the slip-proof material. It seems safe for our little guy, and I also like the containers that hold baby wash and such. I hope that our son will like the infant method better than he does the sling feature - we will soon see! Overall, the tub is ok, but not a must-have. Shop around, based on your baby's preferences.
...

byubelle22 says "First Years Tub is a great value!" about The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling

The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling is a great baby tub. It's durable and inexpensive. The side that has an "incline" is perfect for babies who cannot sit up on their own, though they can slip to their side as it does not curve at all.

I got this tub as a gift and was very grateful for it. When I looked for a cheap replacement to use at grandma's, I noticed others had a little bump were baby's crotch would sit- I'm assuming to help keep them in place, but it looked uncomfortable to me and I was glad to realize my tub did not have that!

The sling is another story. I was not pleased with it. The whole point of the sling is to have a newborn sit safely and comfortably in the tub, but this is nearly impossible. The sling has very little "give" for it to incline at all, so if baby is to be in the water at all, baby would be near to drowning. I ended up detaching it and using it as a "pillow" and bathing my baby in the inclined side so she could be IN the water!...
...

After sponge baths, I moved to this tub because the real tub was too big. This keeps the baby in 1 place, don't see how they could slip around, and you can easily wash all areas. I used it for my newborn son until about 6 months old. Then w e moved to the kitchen sink because mommy's knees were not liking bending down and our sink areas were too small for the tub.
...

This baby tub is a really great buy. It's less expensive than many others, but much nicer. I recieved this baby tub as a gift when I had my daughter and now I'm using it again for my newborn son. The sling for a newborn is great -- it's very supportive and comfortable for baby. My daughter used this tub until she didn't fit in it anymore. The padding on the tub bottom is very nice. It cleans easily and while it's a little bulky, it isn't too difficult to store. It also seems very safe....

I used three different tubs that I hated with my first child. When I had my second child, I decided to really do some research. I read consumer reviews, and everyone recommended this tub. The reason I hated all the others I tried is because they all had two parts to them and leaked. It is one piece and pretty compact compared to many I've used. It fit easily into our kitchen sink and now fits well in our bathtub. The little infant hammock is great because it supported her well and kept her in the water deep enough to keep her from getting cold. So glad I bought this!...

Affordable? Check. Safe? Check. Comfortable for mom/dad and baby at bathtime? Check.

We absolutely love the First Years Newborn to Toddler tub! It doesn't have all the frills and plastic frogs and light up whatevers that some of the baby tubs do these days, but it is infinitely more practical and a much better deal price-wise (who wants to spend $40 on a baby bathtub?!). The detachable sling/hammock was perfect to hold baby in place when she was a newborn, and it works great even as baby grows with a side for reclining and another for sitting up when they hit that stage. Plus it fits perfectly in a normal double kitchen sink. The only bad part as far as I'm concerned is the size--it would be nice to have something more compact for the sake of easy storage. Since we use it every night anyway, it just sits on our kitchen window sill, but it would be hard to store in a smaller home or apartment....

I registered for The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub on my baby registry when I was pregnant with my son. I researched several different brands and styles and decided on this one because it easily converts from an infant tub to a toddler tub by removing the sling. It also got great reviews at Babies R Us online.

I have now been using the tub for nine months and my only complaint is how slippery the tub is. There is nothing on the inside of the tub to prevent your baby from slipping which I think is a major safety hazard. Besides that, I think the tub is great.

The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub features:

Mildew-resistant sling to secure your infant

Padded headrest

Converts to a toddler tub by removing sling

The Scoop!

This is a great tub for the price. Since the only problem I have with this tub happens to be a major safety hazard, I'm honestly not sure if I would buy it again. If The First Years comes out with a newer model that...
...

I received several different tubs from baby showers and even though I later found out this was the cheapest (cost-wise) tub, we were very happy with it. It is simple, no-frills but does the job. You only use the tub for less than a year anyways so why spend a lot? Our daughter loves this tub. She used the recline side for a few months, then liked the sitting up side more. There are a few skid pads for gripping but honestly in a tub a baby is going slipper no matter what! We didn't use the sling/hammock....

I looked up reviews for this tub before I had out it on my babyshower regeistry so I was shocked to have received 3 diffrent tubs( none of which I registered for) So I took all of them back and brought this simple tub and I couldn't have been happier. The hammocks was great for when my son was an infant and as he got older and bigger I just had to turn the tub around so now he sits up in it comfortably. As a first time parent Im very partial to what others have to say about diffrent products and I urge other first timers to stay away from all those"spa" tubs that come with all the additinal knick nacks. There not worth it, and your baby probably wont enojy it. So save the extra money and put oy towards somthing more practical and get this tub!...
