leanda26 says "The best baby bottle...closest to hospital pacifiers" about The First Years Soothie Baby Bottle

I personally love this bottle because my children used the hospital soothie pacifiers and really liked them. They would only use these bottles because of that. The hospitals use the Soothie pacifiers so they are great products and safe. My children recognized them right away and had no problem eating from them. They also come in a few cute designs including Winnie the Pooh (which my older children really enjoyed). They have wide openings at the top so they are easy to clean. They are also easy to fill with premixed formula or powder. The nipples come in different stages. And also fast and slow flow (so there is a nipple to satisfy most babies). They now also come in pink, purple, green, and blue nipples so that you can color coordinate them to your baby stuff. They are great for boys or girls (my son and daughter both used them). They are great bottles..I chose them myself as a parent. And I am very glad that I did.
...

After receiving these for a shower gift, I found that two of the three bottles leaked! I contacted the company and they said take it back to the store. No apology, nothing! But the store wouldn't take them because they'd been used (one the three worked). When I told them that, they pretty much said, "too bad". Nice....

I really like these bottles. I love the wide mouth. I love that the lid fits nicely on the bottom as well as the additional containers it comes with. What I really don't like is after washing and sterilizing the nipples seem to leak. Also mine have BPA, hopefully the newer models will be made BPA free.
...

after having 4 kids i have finally found the bottle that is the best. The soothie bottles are easy to clean fill and feed with and once your baby starts getting to the age to hold the bottle themselves they are easy to learn to hold with its nice shape. I will never buy another type bottle again, and now all my friends get the starter kit for baby shower gifts, also the pacifier is great becuase they match the shape of the bottle and now a lot of hospitals are giving them out.
...

I bought these Soothie bottles for my son thinking they were just like the pasifiers from the hospital and my daughter might have used them if there were out. Well my son loves them and i love them also BUT

They have their down falls. I've realized it's easy to over fill them and when you do they leak. My son has sucked the nipple backward twice. The makes do replacements easy enough (with a reciept) but these days Walmart and most others replace easy also. I love the size, i love the shape they are easy to clean with a regular spung.

My Son loves them better than reg. bottles he drinks quicker.
...

I am a mother of 3 who works full time and breast fed all 3 of my babies. With my first child I never really found a bottle that worked. Either he wouldn't take one or if he did it would give him an upset tummy. With my second child I tried a couple and then found the Soothie bottles by The First Years. These were by far the best bottle for my baby. She easily transitioned to the bottle once it was time to go to the babysitters all day. I froze my milk for her during the day and nursed at night and there were no problems at all. She never refused this bottle or had any gas or upset tummy problems. When I had my third child I got out the Soothie bottles I already had and she took to them as well as my 2nd. Again, no problems with anything. My 3rd child is now 1 and I have weaned her off breast milk but she still takes the bottle for nap time. These bottles are midprice but well worth the money you will spend on them. I would highle recommend these bottles to any new mom.
...

Soothie bottles by The First Year are some of the better bottles we have purchased and used. We have bought Dr. Browns, Soothie, and Nuk bottles. The Soothie ones have corresponding pacifiers, which we received, and he used, in the hospital. The nipple is not too long or too big and he can control the flow with his tongue. The bottles also have different nipple flows available. They also have two different size bottles, a 5 ounce which is perfect for a newborn who doesn't east as much, and a 9 ounce which is perfect for an older baby who eats more at each feeding. We purchased the system which comes with 2 or 3 small bottles, 2 large bottles, a pacifier, a pacifier string, and a bottle brush. The only thing I don't like about them is that since our son was really small when he was born, even the slow flow nipple was a little too fast for him, but we just took more frequent breaks during his feedings.
...

My son was born 3 months premature, and had become partial to the soothie pacifiers that they use in the hospital. I then saw that soothie made bottles, and it is supposed to be an easy transition, because the nipple is pretty much the same. My son loves them and we have about 10 bottles, and at grandparent's houses too. They come in small 4 oz, and 9oz too. and come with snack containers (which can be used to pre-measure formula for on the go). I love that the numbers for measurement do not rub off on the bottle, use after use. One brand of bottle I had tried, they started rubbing off in the wash, before I even started using them!
...

ESTORK says "Easy to clean" about The First Years Soothie Baby Bottle

I bought the Soothie The First Years bottle in the larger size when my son was about five months old when he started drinking more milk per feeding. I picked this bottle because of the wide open mouth of the bottle. This makes cleaning them with a bottle brush very easy. I have had other bottles before (Playtex Ventair) that were very hard to clean and I couldn't get the brush all the way to the bottom. The nipple has a good flow and my son likes drinking from them. You can buy different sizes of nipples that are sold seperatly. I also love the cups that come with the bottles. I use them for formula and when my son got older, I put snacks in them for on the go. The one negative of this bottle is that the nipple doesn't stick out very far, so it makes it a bit hard for baby to put there mouth around it. It just takes a bit of practice. My son got onto it after two feedings. The size is nice, its larger than most and holds over nine ounces.
...

I loved these bottles for various reasons. The first being because she loved the soothie pacifiers and the nipples are the same on both the pacifiers and bottles. Therefore we knew she would like the bottles. The bottles also come with different stage nipples referring to the flow of the milk. I liked this because as my daughter grew and as her appetite grew the flow could grow also. At the same time my daughter could really control how much milk she was getting by how hard and how much she sucked. They are extremely easy to clean up. I would just throw them in the dishwasher and they were good to go. I also liked how there were different sizes in bottles. There are 5 ounce bottles and then larger bottles that could hold up to around 10 ounces. It was nice if I only needed a small amount to use the 5 ounce bottle but then there were other times that I needed mor eand instead of filling up two 5 ounce bottles I just used the larger bottle.
...

I have been using the soothie bottles from the time my baby girl came out of the hospital. It was very difficult for my baby to adjust to any bottles since I was also breat feeding. The shape of the nipple on the soothie bootle make it easy for the baby to transition from breast feeding to bottles. I highly recommend this brand of bottles to all mothers. I also like the fact that it comes in different styles colors and characters. I personally had the winnie the pooh bottles and my daughter loved them. What also sold me on the product was the fact that the nipples and the pacifiers are the same shape. That helps alot especially when the child starts teething. The different shapes of nipples and pacifiers can alter the growth of teeth. The soothie product also comes with a phone number and a website for you to continue to buy soothie products. They even have products for premature babies. I like that I can go to the website and order pacifiers in different colors and they even come with...
...

The Soothie bottle from The First Years is a great product. It works wonderfully for those who introduce their babies to the Soothie pacifier while in the hospital following the birth of thier child. My last child took the Soothie while in the hospital and was breastfed for 2 months. Following the breastfeeding he wouldn't take his bottles so I breastfed a little longer. But he always took the Soothie pacifier. Well, one day I was shopping for baby products for him and was looking at the baby bottles and noticed "THE SOOTHIE" bootles. I had never heard of the Soothie bottles, only the pacifiers. So, I looked over at my husband and told him I wanted to try to feed him from these bottles to see if he would feed from those. He said "Can't hurt." We purchased the The Soothie bottles in a 3 pack of 5 ounse bottles. He took right to them. The next week we went shopping and bought the 3 pk of 9 ounce bottles...
...

I am going to be writing a review about the Soothies bottle called " the first years soothie bottle starter kit baby bottle. " I had my first baby and only kid on april twenty-first of the year two-thousand-eight. I bought several different brands of bottles soothie, store brand, the glass bottles, playtex with and with the liners you can buy for this specific bottle (platex). Out of all of those bottles, I just really seem to like the soothies brand better than any other bottles. To tell you the truth it really did help with my babys gas and made him a lot happier. Another thing that I seemed to like about this bottle is that it had the storage compatment for his soothie paccifier! It really seemed to work out perfectly since thats the only pacifier he would take. I like that it had a straw to take the extra air out of the bottle and not buy bags all the time!!! Whenever I have my another baby this will definately be my choice bottle , soothie!!!
...
